I could make the SFX for Dark Forces work without any spcial prog whatsoever, my only prob was with music, though I dismissed that and just had winamp run in the background with all my sw mp3s. As for TIE, the Win95 edition runs good enough on XP...

I have discovered that for some reason firefox has trouble when submitting cards. Once i opened IE and tried the process again (same card, same image) the process worked.

No car festivals, the distributors of the big fine european brand would sometimes make special events, but you can only attend when invited... as if anyone wanted to see see some very good-looking models wearing only body-painting next to a BMW...

Alpha One checked the sensors on his Missileboat, then quickly checked how many missiles he had left. He and his pilots have been very economic with the warheads, as they represented the main avantage a Missileboat had over any other starfighter. Without any reloading craft they had to make every single shot count. He had enough torpedoes left, a handful of bombs and even some of the cluster missiles. "Alpha Group on me", the pilot repeated. His pilots did not answer on the comm, they simply reformed and followed their leader. Precise Imperial obedience. Alpha One smiled tightly as he ordered his pilots to pick out one of the Aklasp fighters that were moving against the Alliance. "One, Three. We have Kar Asps on us." Alpha One automatically moved his hand to the comm. "Spear Leader, Alpha One, we take the Aklasp. Help us get rid of the Kar Asps on out tails." "Acknowledged." Horn confused by sober voice answered. "Alpha's engage Slams." The Delta Missile Boats accelerated drastically, momentarily appearing above and behind the Aklasp starfighters. "Fire specials." Alpha One ordered. A dozen of the special seeker cluster missiles were launched by Alpha squadron. Every missile splintering in smaller missiles that picked out the entire Aklasp squadron. Far too many warheads for the Aklasp gravitational shields to handle. Of the twelve Aklasps only two survived but already one of them was rapidly losing altitude and dropping on the ground. The Kar Asps that had been chasing the Alphas had been left behind, but already Corran's X-wing group were taking them out. "Thanks Alphas," Corran said. "Do not thank us until this is over, there are still plenty of enemies around here." *** "Stele has moved to assist the Alliance air squadrons," Grabel informed. "What about the Darktroopers and the At-Ats near the forest?" Oreton asked for confirmation. "Meatgrind." Klarn answered. *** Originally devised to be used by droids the Darktrooper armor was proving its worth. After Mohc's death and the loss of the Arc Hammer, the project had been quietly resurrected, it had taken the researchers three decades to complete a design to be used by human and not only by humanoid creatures. Today the the force-senstive troopers were wearing Phase V Darktrooper suits, they were finally completing the gap between Jedi and clonetroopers that existed in the Clone Wars. Against an enemy such as the Rapora, Kyp quickly learned to appreciate that gap. To control minds was forbidden for a Jedi, so using the Force to create mind melds only worked when other Jedi were participating. And tehre were never enough Jedi. But the Darktroopers worked similarly, whilst he could not tranmit to them the detailed thought, they reacted to his rough thoguhts and intentions. At least fifty Rapora warriors had fallen before them a single Dark Trooper had been downed. The shock of facing cortosis ore in the dark trooper armor had cost them dearly. Others had died at distance, the imbedded plasma weapon on thier right arm included a secondary fire method. Rocketlaunchers. The Dark Troopers had not hesitated to use them at will, reserving some for the Rapora walkers. The AT-ATs continued to advance, trying to push the Rapora back into the forest, and trying to open a path towards the Rapora Headquarters. On the ground the blackened grassland was splashed with blood, not only Rapora but Imperial. Whilst the dark troopers had only lost a few men, the Rapora leader had taken his troopers into the formation of standard stormtroopers, which were not that much of a match for armored and deadly stormtroopers. Kyp wanted to turn to help them, but a sensation of alert made him turn to the Darktroopers. They were firing at a group of Droideka'kar droids which were coming at him. Deal with the strongest enemy first. The stormtrooper could still hold out some more against the Rapora. The dark troopers were most efficient when directed at a single objective, and the droideka'kars had the priority. *** No one had noticed where Ulan had vanished to. Having spent a little over a week at Emante Base, Han and Ulan had come up with some crazy last-minute tactics for defense. While enough of the artillery would be disposed of in the battle field, some other needed to be kept safe from initial bombardments. Equipped with small sized shiled generators, dozens of twin-missile launchers had been hidden near the shores of the Emante Rivers. The launchers were connected by underground galleries that had been built during the Clone wars. All Solo had done was put them to good use. Solos signal came to Ulan, it was time to use the missile launchers. Solo and Ulan had decided to equip them with their limited share of Ion pulses and use them once the Rapora decided to bring droids into battle. With cruiser against cruiser in the atmosphere and the fighter superioriy balance constantly shifting, Solo had decided this would be as good a moment as any to employ his 'Jawas'. The top 'hatch' for the underground launchers opened and a lift mechanism raised the launchers to ground level, with their cover partly shadowing them, from a distance the brightness of the twin launcher would mimic a pair of glowing orange eyes under a brown dirt cover. Jawas. "All launchers fire," Ulan ordered. The Jawas were finally attacking. Dozens of Ion pulses fired towards the droids regiments of the Rapora, the damage would not be permanent but even half a minute of freezing in the battle field would help the Alliance and their allies. The missiles were not meant to explode on impact, rather they had a proximity detonator that made them explode above the regiments. The Mandalorian quickly realized the effect of the weapons and tried to maximize the temporary advantage the warheads were giving them.

Stupid game designers that didn't think of this... It just as stupid as not being able to use fighters in ground assaults. -
Not wanting to be evil, just wanting to advance Ulan's plot through it... And the Imperials... I'll Pm you once I finish posting... (Tabbed browsing is bad, it distracts you for hours before completing a post)

Will you take some suggestions?

It's very nice, but LLF has a point too...

I am already regretting this. Anyway those posts in Being promoted in the forums so long ago were very informative...

Then don't trust your instinct, then. In addition to what everyoneelse has mentioned, Firefox has an integrated pop-up blocker, is much more customizable than IE, run fasters and prevents you from having dozens from open IE windows in the system bar, keeping them as organized tabs within one window. It's also a lot safer than IE (not that many security gaps (holes, craters?) as in IE.

Don't start again or I'll edit your posts in very imaginative ways... (Mad should already be familiar with this).

SOCL strikes back. You should resurrect the "Being promoted in the forums" thread.

As everyone else said, the Rapora regiment pic needs more contrast. And as for the starfighter, just wondering how it actually looks in game, I mean will all the stars in the backdrop.

That one looks good, only the Imperial side is missing there. Perhaps instead of the rebel insignia in the midst we could use a gray version of the Reloaded logo?

I don't know much about PHP pages and stuff, though another forum I'm part of (the Costa Rican SW page) uses a FlashChat with PHP Nuke (I think). Perhaps E can make some sense of all this and use a version of it here...

I'm for having a new logo, about a mascot... Unless it really is the fluffy Noghri with glasses I'd say no...
