I cheated at the weekend. I downloaded Windows Virtual Machine and installed Windows 95. BTW, oh my god what a relic Win95 is by comparison!

Just got me a new pc... Dell XPS 420 3 GB RAM (upgraded to 4 straight away) Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 2.40Ghz 1 TB Hard Drive nVidia 8800 Graphics Card 22 inch Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW Widescreen monitor Think that sums it up...

So, just to clarify (as i've just gotten a new pc with Vista 32bit)... What's the best way to get Rebellion working? Also as an aside, when i download RebEd, it doesn't seem to install RerbEd itself, only the help files... thoughts?

Which is fine, except that longevity seems to be an issue. Luke Han and the others are all getting on a bit, and despite the poor health coverage that Fett has received, they're all still going at it like ripe healthy 30 year olds... and that includes non-force sensitives. And yet we keep being told that there are 'new' generations... Exactly how long is a human supposed to live in this galaxy?!?

I just want a trilogy, not nine or nineteen books. It's too hard to follow everything. Bring back Zahn i say!

I'm not sure SOCL, i think it happened when they started doing prequel era books. After all, before then the whole clone wars thing was a rather different affair. It smacks of Lucas trying to take control. I liked the good old days when the books weren't 'cannonised' but Lucas basically said "yeah sure write what you want". Now it all seems to be back to, "yeah sure write what you want as long as it falls precisely within my overarching view of the entire saga as i may or may not have defined it when i allegedly wrote the first nine stories". Bloody control freak. Not that i'm bitter or anything...

You could have a later scene with BOTH Anakins... that could be fun...

Can anyone say plot hole? I think it's just typical Lucas trash, filling in holes with random characters because he can't be bothered to write a halfway decent story. God i hate RetCon

I know SOCL, i just didn't want you to feel it was an unrequited love scenario... Can't seem to find a darned copy of this book anywhere in Croydon, and web retailers in the UK all seem to have delays!
