  1. Didn't Napoleon actually crown himself finstead of letting the pope crown him, although he did bring him to Notre-Dame? As to which Emperor/King/Ruler the greatest was depends on the criteria you use to define it. There was Ramses, Alexander, Nabucodonosor, Caesar, Konstantin, Charles Magne, Barbarossa, Genghis Khan, Salah-Al-Din, Napeoleon, HEnry, Erik the REd, moctezuma, Atahualpa. All these could be considered great, all depends from your point of view. all that were considered great were considered tyrants by others. FRenchmen hail Anpoleon as a national Leader, Code NApoleon etc, Germans don't like him that much Although in the last century the governors have a greater tendence to tyranism than to greatness, (well from my poitn of view, that is) for example: Stalin, hitler, Mussolini, France, Churchill, the japanese one from 1945, some American presidents ( Ilive in Latinamerica, after all), Pinochet, Fidel, the argentinian ones, Hugo Chavez....
  2. That would be difficult there are te few images of Yuuzhan Vong, in teh new essential guide to characters, there are only images of Trsavong Lah and nom Anor and Vergere (It's not Vong but begins allied to it), on the net there are other (very few pictures of oother Vong), and none at all of VOng troops (Flamethrowers, or what their name is, and other troops) . There are not that many images of the ship analogs, thoguh everything that looks like Coral could be used. .. All in all it would be very, very, very hard to do a Vong - Republic TC for Rebellion.
  3. I'd like to go to england too, perhaps on one assignment for the New COokie Order our unit will be sent to supervise the enlgish cookie production...
  4. An eager and yougn pilot raised his hand to interrupt Commodore Fel's briefieng. "Sir, will these new E-Wings now accept somethign other than R7? Those droids may be better for astronavigation, but they are not as versatile." "Yes Lieutenant, the systems of the E-Wings have been refitted for R2s." Lieutenant S'Tor smiled happyly with a hint of unrestrained enthusiasm for the upcoming mission. Commodere Fel tried to remember what he knew about the lieutenant, S'Tor was the most recent transfer to his squadron. fel had yet to see him in a dogfight but the simulator results were impressive indeed, certainly not on Skywalker's level or Antilles's, but impresive indeed. Focusign on the briefing he wondered if the young pilots that now fille dmost of the briefing room were up to trials that they would face. As the humming sound of the holoprojector came to life, Fel focused on explaining the mission...
  5. Iulan S'Tor Homeworld: Coruscant Political Affiliation: Rebel X-Wing Pilot Force ability: unknown In the darkest of all hours you can always illuminate everything with a ray of light. There are no such things as rays of darkness.
  6. I doubt the battle will have an end. Although I have seen that you can't completely get their sublight speed to 0, nor hyperdrive for that matter. The Golan will try to meet each other, it certainly will be a sluggish match, wht I would suggest is to get the immediate result, if you have more starfighters or better starfighter I guess the attackers will flee the system.
  7. You know what you imperial son of Hutt, KISS MY WOOKIEE!
  8. Long live the First Cookietrooper Bataillon under commmand of Commander TK421 in thier struggle against the evil DLLs! Let's hope we don't run out of cookies nor Whyren's Reserve.
  9. I don't want to be a stormtrooper, and your cookies aren't worth it. Perhaps I will be a Clonetrooper, or a Dark Trooper, but no Storm troopers. BTW, I will help with the DLL Entries...
  10. As I remember from RebEd you can't give one side more units/ships/characters thatn the other. I know for certain that you can't give one side 31 characters and the other 29. I don't think that it wroks for ships. I'll try and see... BTW, what's RebSE?
  11. I want to help with the card dreation I even have some that could be used.( COrran Horn, Isard, elegos A'Kla(he has a high diplomacy rating) and some others. I wanted to know, though, if there is a way to create card similar to Luke's pre-Jedi and post-Jedi, you ccould have a Corran Horn pilot/ Jedi card.
  12. The time they got it they built one shield and stationes several troops. Before I returned I had continuos espionage missions there. Corscant gives a lot more intel about other systems. SO I got rid of an useles palnet and got good Intel for that....
  13. I know what you feel, Ultimely, stupid natural disasters are the worst thing that could happen, especially in COruscant. Once two I had to suffer two of those disasters on COruscant, not the best of days, I decided to move everything out of the planet and let the rebels have it. I bombarded it so it coul turn red, most of the sector was already red so I gave it to them and focused one my future glorious return to COruscant: the only Core planet with one free energy...
  14. Use Resource Hacker (the link should be somehwere in the forums) and look for the TEXTSTRA.DLL file in your Rebellion directory, then go to String table and edit from the 1297 to the 1310 (for Imps, that is) and from the 1314 to the 1326 for the Rebs. Somewhere there you can also change the ranks of each character, you can have it say GRand Admiral Thrawn or Wing General Antilles.
  15. Why not? If I did that I would have to sacrifice one other time of missions, hmmm perhpas the Guerillas. First, though I'll have to see if I find a way around the crashing...
  16. The Imperial main characters certainly should be Thrawn and C'Baoth. Pellaeon was around, and the rest of imperial captains that served directly under Thrawn (Brandei, Dorja, etc...) Also there was Covell. Clone Palpy was hidden in Byss, Isard iin who-knows-where plotting revenge. Krennel in Ciutric, clone-Isard in who-knows-where, Lemelisk in hiding, and HArrsk and TEradoc "warlording" around. For REloaded, I think that Imp stormtroopers and TIEs should be particularly cheap. Clone factories and all. There should be a particular bonus in leadership, but a small decay in the overall diplomatic abilities. The Rebs have Luke, Leia, Han, Mothma, ACkbar around. WEdge is Rogue Leader, Corran Horn has been identified as a JEdi candidate, and needs training. The Wraiths are an elite intel team, Kapp dendo and PAge have also very good intel teams. DOdonna is captured but that would be hard to recreate. Rebel should start with better starships, and perhaps have a diplomacy bonus.
  17. now that's weird, but still perhaps I could make the Rebels have some Noghri commandos...
  18. Thanks Igor for gettimg me out of my mistake, now I know what the difference is between Reb II and REb Reloaded. *.reb files from REbED are about 6 megs without any sounds and models. If all models are about 500k or more, and the TC will have new sounds, we'll get a 15MB+ package. By the way, the mon Cal models from mask work fine in big fleets in my Celeron 400 MHz PC.
  19. Will Reb II use the galactic map that appears in the front and back of the NJO books? Will ti be adjusted for gameplay, how many planets? how many sectors? which sectors? Will the Unknown REgions be around or WIld Space, or Dagobah, Byss, Korriban?
  20. It would be nice to have different messages from the different sides, too. For example, if you're an Imp and a neutral planet joins the REbels, you get a message saying: Yaga Minor has chosen the path of weakness, it joined the puny REbels. It is time to smash it with our glorious forces. If you're a REb it would say, The Yagai have chosen wisely they chose to oppose the Empire and join the Alliance of Free Planets.
  21. I agree with Evaders, changing NR with Imps is the most logical thing to do. PRoblem is with the main characters, or is the amount for main characters in REb II different from the one in REb. (2 for the Imps, 4 for the Alliance). If we change it the Imps would have 4 main characters, one would be Thrawn, C'Baoth, Isard?, CLoned Palpy?. And what about the NR 2 main characters, would you leave SOlo, or Organa SOlo, or Skywalker or Mothma out? I hope this things would be fixed for REb II.
  22. 1) The feature is in the capital ships section. As a matter of fact I have wondered about its purpose too. Anyone with an answer?
  23. I can think of some ships with gravity mass projectors. There was the Mon Mothma, one of the newer Rebel Destroyers, it appeared in Star by STar under WEdge's command. Of stations with grvitymass projectors I know only CEneterpoint, but anyway that would be useless, at its most. You can't move the station out of it's system, a gravity mass projector would only work there if you wanted to prevent ship from fleeing the system. (No one would even risk to send a fleet (unless it was a big one) to such a system!!!). Interdictors could prevent enemy fleets from entering the system.
  24. Hi again, I agree that Reb II ought to have more in common with the STar WArs universe, I heartily agree on a higher relevance of hyperspace. For example to deduce directions from their vector, and a more important use of Interdictors to take ships out of hyperspace. Also their should be systems you can't approach from anywhere unless you follow a particular hyperlane. I remember posting something about that in the semi-old fourm, but now it's gone.
