  1. It most definitely should. As six squads could destroy a Lancer.
  2. I know. Sarcasm does not translate well on forum pages, read my reply to Cain in the other EaW thread.
  3. I wonder the same Jahled. What makes you think you should have moderator powers for Cain?
  4. Good graphics do not mean better gameplay, at 20 planets and no-3d combat I would not consider that game the heir to Rebellion. Instead it might just be a game directed to RTS neophytes, stop drawing conclusion when the game will not be in your hands for another many months.
  5. You should think what you write before posting, Cain. Just because you will not care for Rebellion once Petroglyph-oh-so-great-game-that-is-still-alpha will be released will not mean that all of us will mindlessly change Rebellion (and its mod) for a game, that some of us will not be playing at first. (Not all of us can afford to have top computers, with top video cards to play the most recent games). As for Reloaded, the project has had rough times. Lots of people coming and going, Tsunami, Pucho, Venix, smonica and others (including you Cain) other just taking some pronounced inactivity periods (Tk, myself) hurt the project, plus when Reloaded was first proposed it was not as total as it is now. Back then, there was no way to replace Tactical Models, and no Reshack either. In that sense the team (especially Mask) have been pioneering, and without (our)his efforts not even your Protectorates mods wouldn't have succeeded. To throw all that effort away simply because a new dumbed-down version of the game will be available later this year, seems stupid. I've read that you have already started to discuss a Mod for EaW, based upon the stuff for Reloaded and Warlords. Cain, the game is not out yet, you don't know what to mod. Either you are already growing tired o of modding Rome:TW or did someone ask you to help with the System Defenses Cards for Rome, and simply decided to move elsewhere? Whatever it is, have you approached Eville about his models? Because you have not approached the Reloaded Team, and if the posts above were your approach, you will not count with my support, for your mod.
  6. Admiral_Antilles used to play there, too. I think, though his ISP has been giving him trouble. (Not even able to log on the site). BTW, welcome to the boards!
  7. Please do, it would be most interesting to read.
  8. Reminds me of one video, where the Leia hologram was replaced by a dancer. Unlike Windu, old Kenobi was very interested.
  9. IIRC we have had up to one week without posts.
  10. Long time no see, DC.
  11. What is a Reman? Wow Krytos, you've been keeping up with us. That attack is only one page away IIRC. I didn't know anyone not involved in the story would read through those long textes.
  12. Good one, BS. Does that mean you actually just sit and read that thread Krytos or has word of that devious RPG spread throughtout the forums? That's a question I'd like to see answered. Empire in space, though the Romulan Cloaking devices might give them a hard time. Mandalorian on the ground, though if the numbers are massive, the Empire still has good chances. Romulans would be dead before they landed.
  13. I wonder how the got to know us? You had anything to do Cain? We missed you too. Even your spelling, which I must say is better. Will you be staying or this is a short visit?
  14. Yup... Just the same... Considering I have two accounts I should have 100 invites...
  15. In the Imperial Palace (aka Skywalker Ranch) Darth Ward (LEC President) leads a naïve Canadian Chiss to the Throne Room. As the lifts stop, the metal doors open to reveal a dimly lit chamber. In its middle a throne against a huge viewport, where he believes to have spot some Banthas playing with gungans. The Emperor's private petting zoo, he thought. Sitting on a throne surrounded by life-size plush Ewoks, flannel-draped Emperor Lucas waves his hand and the binders fall on the floor, followed by a metallic thud. Ward kneels. "Master, this is the Rebel that still speaks about Rebellion", Ward reports as he hands a small jewel case to the Emperor. "He was armed with this." "Ah, young Thrawn. The game of a fool. You must realize that Jim Ward here used to play Rebellion a lot, but he now belongs to me. Nothing you do will make him betray me. For him, and all others Rebellion does not exist anymore. In time, you too will acknowledge this, and call me master. " "You are gravely mistaken, the community is still, alive. There are mods, TCs, Cards," Grand_Admiral_Thrawn snaps back before he collapses on the floor. "You will find that it is you who is gravely mistaken, about many things. Your community will soon be crushed, and your game shall disappear from the face of the galazy forever." Lucas erupts in machiavellic laughter, joined by the metallic barks from Darth Ward.
  16. Like the what? Some rather brutal crimes get a lot of attention, because of people's morbosity. Newspapers, TV News, function just like anything else these days. It's a matter of rating. While the average viewer is already jaded by the eventual gore and violence scenes in entertainment( Movies, tv series, etc), they'll be interested that such thing actually can happen in real life and to the average person. It's the same mechanic behind reality show, and such. Always wanting to relate situations and event from fiction to "real" people, without living them. As GAT said some crimes get more attention than others. Brutal murders, serial killers, etc get a lot of attention. Affairs of public figures also get a lot of attention. And Iraq, afganisthan have become exclusively media wars.
  17. Here's mine I shall start a SWR Region. The name is SWR.
  18. Construction cost defines the build time. IT was a pretty simple formula. In one basic shipyard it takes four times the construction cost to build a ship, in an advanced yard it takes twice the construction cost, IIRC.
  19. Do not trust your eyes for they can deceive you... That Mon Cal in that post is not what he seems. http://img236.exs.cx/img236/1775/cliveackbar12pn0ie.gif
  20. I think I could build that out of some loose piece that are somewhere in my room.
  21. In some museum in Paris there is some metal bar of one meter in length that defined the system. With the years, I think the 1 meter bar has lost a few millimeters.
  22. Theme songs rule... Scrolls down the playlist until Trej finds the Theme Song he likes most... A-Team Theme Song (Full of childhood memories)
  23. Yeah, I liked both Predator movies, the Predator were portrayed intelligently. The AvP Predators were somewhat disappointing, and that ending..
  24. Already on board the Lambda Shuttle, had the pilot noted that the Rapora were landing their cruiser. Arien found that unusual, and began to form ideas how to use that most effectively in their talks. Instead of communicating back to orbit, and give some last-second orders she had the Colonel and his aide take some scans of the cruiser as soon as they landed. Across the landing bay Arien spotted the Rapora delegation leaving their ship. A venerable-looking Rapora (if it could be applied to the creature) a warrior and two droids. The hatch closed and the Vaathkree fighters manuvered over the landing area, waiting for the cruiser to depart. Slowly the cruiser began to hover away, it had been on the ground only for a handful of minutes, Yage wondered if it had been enough for the Colonel. Shaking those thoughts away, Arien began to near the Vaathkree planetary leader. The Imperial group advanced in a diamond formation, with Arien ahead wearing a cordial but distant smile. The Colonel and his assistant in the black uniform of a Naval trooper and at'Vek in his helmet-less grey Stormtrooper suit. Arien chose some words to greet the leader, but decided against it, waiting for the Vaathkree to address her first.
  25. It's easier to remember the prefixes than keeping in mind if an inch is a somethingth of a foot and so on.
