  1. Considering that the Si-O chemical union is solid mineral, and their blood being melted metal. I wouldn't see the need of it. (I had thought they died in space, because of freezing). Where do I get a gun that shoots frozen diamonds? I don't doubt it. Perhaps Solo can scrounge some crazy ideas. That's the weirdest weapon I0ve ever heard of. True, but 900kg of solid silice and molten metals... oh well. Make them half as fast as a human and I'll be happy. You remember the scene in episode I where Qui-gon (sp?) starts to burn through the bridge blast doors. Think of that as the exoskeleton of this alien creature. Where's Corran and his longer blade when you need him. Thanks for the answers, and for the Encyclopedia.
  2. Yuck, silicium-base creatures, makes me think of giant mynocks. First Star Trek, now Aliens. Question time! Do this guys breath? Do this guys emit strong heat radiation? Drying out ambient humidity that'd make the Rapora not want to be too close to them? Are their eyes, joints and mouth any more vulnerable than the rest of their bodies? I'll take their blood is somekind of dangerous acid (Ã la Alien). It's fewer of them, than there's Rapora, right? Forcesensitivity? Melee weapon? Or do they just spit acid and attack with claws? How fast are they? at 900kg I wouldn't think of them as fast creatures. How do their bodies react to lightsabers?
  3. If you wouldn't bring them to every social event the Rapora are not invited, we wouldn't have to destroy them.
  4. Not necessarily, you could gain info on other missions launched from the planer the prisoner left which may still be in progress, or chars that would arrive at that planet. And even if it wasn't useful it'd be fun.
  5. As long as you don't travel at lightspeed from bar to your home, nothing wierd should happen.
  6. I'd still be more confortable with her being death. Why do you want her alive? Let's continue this discussion via PM. I never liked Kyp. And thinking of it he was always a good friend of Han, I want to see an angry Han. EDIT: Removed this form IC Thread. And I had to put it somewhere OOC: I killed Dorja. Breathes. I did not want her to live, it has been a while since anyone died. (Since Parck there have not been at least in Oreton's storyline any important deaths, Pelly is in deep coma, he might or might not come back, plus Oreton knew he already had a foot on the other side. Vana was quite the opposite.) So I actually wanted her dead. The one minute of silence was a silent way to let her die. Sorry for not posting this in the OOC Thread, but when I read she still was alive I somehow exploded. This about the fifth edit, one for each line I think. I'll edit this into something not OOC, once Dorja vanishes form the above post. Woo one more edit, nice thing about the 'Ewoks' I had not given much thought about it, it was more of a joke while I figured something out. Nice idea, nothing like a low-budget defense army to lighten up the day. As Jahled would say: Learn to spell, I must.
  7. The black and white drawing near the top of the page is the official Wizards of the Coast picture. So that's the official.
  8. Ugh. DS9... My ideas are dweebby enough that Stellar will find them respulsive enough not to use them. In the Gorathian shuttle: "All hail the mighty Klingon Empire, and its victory over the Tribbles!!!! " Hirotek murmured, then his eyes popped wide open. "Ilos, you okay?" Garik asked. "Yeah, I had somekind of nightmare." Ilos answered. "Klingons? Tribbles? What kind of nightmare was that?" Garik asked more to himself than for the sleepy man on his side. "I've no idea, but I will keep them from going back in time and rescue the damn buggers." Hirotek murmured, his last words were barely understandable. "I don't know if I should still take him to Ord or to a Medical Facility. Time-travel, that's even more absurd than the idea of reducing our body to atoms and teleporting them through space." Garik spoke out for himself, took a sip of his beloved Corellian Brandy and checked the consoles on the shuttle again.
  9. Let's cross fingers and hope that Mask comes around.
  10. They hunted them to extinction? I didn't know that! Knowing Stellar the Rapora will bom your base with over-eager-reproductive Tribble, that will be so cute they'll distract your troops while the rapora destroy them. Or you'll have Rapora-engineeres Giga-Tribbles which reproduce and eat away your provisions for a long ground campaign or Giga-Tribbles will turn out to be Droideka's with a wool clothing to fool GFFA/UDA troops.
  11. As I said above, learn to search you must. I found some rough sketches and early models within the first page results. It's from the XWA NJO Project, it's a fan model. Knowing WotC and LFL there's probably no official image of the Ranger these days, so enjoy yourself with the NJO project one. EDIT: One more find: http://www.swrpgnetwork.com/entry.php?s=45d1a015fadddd618b5ebcbbf6e31fb1&id=101
  12. Does it really for every superweapon you come up with, SM will come up with yet one bigger Rapora Superweapon, so we are only giving SM bigger guns. The GFFA still have numbers on their side. The Raporan army has formidable technology, but their warrior number is not that high. They cannot be everywhere at once, so happy raiding. Force sensitive, that's a problem. But both Jedi and Sith are not all too powerful, other than Palpy and Anakin I would like any super-ForceUsers (a la making moon blow up). The Darths, have not run into any Jedi recently, and the average Raporan warrior probably is not that strong in the force compared to a fully trained Jedi or Sith. They must still be vulnerable. Knowing Stellar, I wouldn't give him any advice (not even as a joke). Unless you actually wanted Tribbles to crush your troops.
  13. Learn to search you must.
  14. Ranger sounds more like it. A lot of the NJO don't have official pictures, so they are left up to your imagination. Some web artists may have done sketches or 3d models of them. Try googling "Ranger Gunship" and if you find anything, please post it.
  15. Yup I noticed that as well.
  16. This sounds a lot like some of the Reb 2 Daydreaming ideas. It might have been there. Torturing and interrogating prisoners would be a nice concept that we probably won't see in any SW RTS. Such is life.
  17. It's an e-book. I believed the included it in one paperback version of another NJO book, or they released it for free at the official site. It's 1 AM and I can't remember which one is it. Like this: http://www.wizards.com/starwars/images/sotg_gallery/40151_GS.jpg I had never heard of those, where do they appear. Couldn't find any good pictures. She doesn't look very good. If you insist here's a picture: (It's upside down, again late night scanning is not the best thing). http://img37.exs.cx/img37/3439/vergere8qg.th.jpg What's weird about it? Lots of people read 1-2 Hours every night. Each book taking 1-2 weeks? It depends, is english your native tongue? If it is not, and with 11 you are doing fine, if it is. There's always some vocabulary and unpronouncable Yuuzhan Vong names that might be forgotten and mess up with the story.
  18. Oreton rubbed his hands, and considered increasing the temparature of his office. He decided against it, as the images of flames on one of the monitors made his body warm up with anger. Anger at the Rapora for their seemingly insuperable strength, anger at the GFFA and the burning of the forest. Even if, Oreton had not doubt about it, he would have ordered the same barbarity. Oreton smiled, as he decided that the forest fire made an extraordinary funeral pyre for Vana. The tall flames danced with the wind obnoxious to the movements of the Rapora and GFFA Forces that battled in the area. Through the flames, Oreton believed he saw other creatures advancing, slow but steady. Ignoring the flames, as the flames ignored them. The image quality then became blurry and unclear as smoke and heat made even the GFFA scouts abandon their posts. Oreton made note of the creatures. Oreton analyzed the strenghts of the forces deployed in that area. The GFFA, aided by Solo's unpredictable tactics could hold enough to make a more organized retreat. Some of Oreton's walkers could make a difference in holding the hill area much longer, but once the fire died it would be an open battlefield and the GFFA troops would be in serious disadvantage. And the fire-walking creatures were still an unknown factor, walking through fire was an uncommon attribute in most races, showing such resistance to heat was to be noted. "At least I know you exist," Oreton murmured. With a voice command he called upon the database, and started some research into what could this creatures possibly be, and how to counter them.
  19. I still don't know what have your units have in special, much less their names. A consistent good Word Doc Rapora Annex could help. There's still a psychological effects, and at least the ground soldiers and light vehicles won't go through.
  20. Wierd. Did you use the original DLL or Mask's DLL updates?
  21. If that last comment is about the superweapons, I really meant what I wrote about that a few posts back. It's getting a bit overstretched, one superweapon is good. It adds an element that is a cause of dispair for the "good guys", but add half a dozen "I'll-kill-everything-you-can-come-up-with" technological gizmos, and it simply ruins the story. From what I read up here, I think Darky and Mad are with me on this. The story doesn't need terrible-über-superweapons to be fun.
  22. The latter one, taking a fresh unedited DLL and edit it directly through Reshack and not using RebEd for it.
  23. On Vareme Cruiser Morgoth, the Timeless One addresses his troops. "Nasty little Skywalkers, stoles it from us. He stole our precious, bring them to Her." "No, Skywalker was good to us. Skywalker likes us." "Nobody likes you." "I'm not listening." "Murderer! Thief!" "/&"!%$&$#!!!" Palpum.. Palpum..
  24. IIRC Hexcode would appear if you changed a Card's ency entry through RebEd and then tried to edit it through ResHack. As for the solution... pssst Mask?... [insert Mask's smart answer here] You could also copy a fresh encytext.dll from the CD and directly replace the contents in it through ResHack.
  25. Perhaps the Rapora can be turned into Orcs or have the Timeless one imitate Gollum's speech patterns.
