  1. Wow, those Vong models look awesome! I, will need to get Hegomony now
  2. Awesome Hk, that was quick:D Perhaps you could post it up on the original shiplist thread or give it to Evaders
  3. Nope, if you watch closely you can see what he does - at least I could for the Kings and one of the tens Anyway, this is just stupid . . . **** 996, how I wish it were a Porsche though
  4. As the Rebllion I start off with mainly X-Wings, they're great all rounders. I tend to build a few Y-Wings for some more firepower - though end up scrapping them. After that B-Wings start to dominate. I find they get destroyed quicker than X-Wings when part of the same fleet - because they're targeted first. A goodmixture of B's and X's cuts through most Imperials. I still use A-Wings as Interceptors. The AI will alwaysgo for my B's, so by leaving them at the fleet, I can my A's to hit them from far away and then let the B-Wings loose when they're in range of my cruisers. As for favourite fighter: In Rebellion . . . and Rebellion era - B-Wing in the EU, it's the E-Wing 5 to go
  5. What?!? That's an absolute load of CRAP I agree with Mad, we should demand that he get put back into his old position.
  6. G'Day HK, and welcome to the forums. There use to be a sticky post on this, though it's been removed lately. Never fear though, I found it still lurking through the pages of the general discussion (Ok, I just searched for it ) Here it is,all 5 pages of discussion and naming Woo, number 993 post . . . getting closer and closer
  7. Perhaps so, I've tried again today and it works . . . just REALLY slow. Currently 8.3 k/sec compared to my usual 30-50 k/sec depending on site. Oh well, once its done I'll be happy . . . unless a new one comes out after it
  8. And what colour is your enchilada? Umm . . . I mean . . . ah Let's start again You said that that the shields have blocked your assaults - so like the Colonel asked, how many Shield Gens are there and what's the size of your fleet. Also, what forces are their on the planet and in your fleet (troops, characters and spec ops)? On the same tocken, what do you have in reserve or on call around the galaxy - so if need be you could bring in some addition troops and ships. I've experienced fleets of 50+ warships unable to lay waste to a apir of Gen Cors Is. I usually do one of two things, build more ships or try sabotage missions. It'll be hard if Palpis there, though with him injurred it shouldn't be too bad. Of course, it all depends on what else is present on planet. At least the Empire has a way to solve that problem . . . . Death Star P.S Olorin, PM heading your way
  9. Now, this guy is skilled with cards http://www.alldumb.com/item/11576/
  10. Welcome to the forums mate! ! Good to see you've gotten into RebEd and the card section - it's a great way to make the game more exiting and more challenging. I especially like lowering the production costs of everything by 75%, makes for great big fleets of over a hundred ships Hope to see you around the forum
  11. IC: (1138) The shuttle took off right within their grasps. Blast! I let them get away with the Jedi The thoughts of failure dwelled in 1138's head for a few seconds before a new thought poped into his head. "Everyone back into the cave before we get bombarded!" The Jedi and clone troopers responded instantly a began heading for the cave. 1138 quickly joined them and helped carry the legless trooper to safety. As the entered the cave, there was still the distant sound of blasters firing. IC: (3099) Still lying on the ground injurred, 3099 was now pretending to be dead rather than getting the attention of one of the field medics. Less than 5 metres away from him stood a Droideka, blazing away at the clone line. If it turned even slightly, it would notice him and he would surely die. 3099 didn't worry about dying, though if the droid turned he wouldn't get to detroy it. Slowly wriggling his way to a better position, 3099 removed his satchual of Thermal Detonators. As slowly as he could, he activated all of them and then attempted to stand. Pushing up of a bolder, 3099 got back onto his feet and was ready to throw the deadly satchual at the last droid in the cave. But he hadn't been silent enough, something got the droids attention and 3099 threw the thermal detonators straight at the droid as he dove behind the bolder he'd used to help him up. An almighy heat wave blaster around 3099 as the TDs exploded, the force knocked him to the ground and blackened his vision. Before passing out, he could hear the clanking sound of a droid walking towards him.
  12. As Afton ran out of the bridge and towards the cargo hold, Karn hoped that she could bring the jamming equipment online. If she can't get it working, we're as good as dead. Looking back to the sensor screen, for what felt like the hundreth time since getting back on baord his frigte, Karn looked at how his ship was faring against the Imperial monstrosities. His crew were mangaging to keep the figate inbetween both Imperial vessels, which resulted in them firing a lot less than they were capable of. Though the ISD was baring around on a straight run that would bring it up on their port soon. The Imobiliser was heading for the same postion as well, which meant neither would have to worry about hitting each other very soon. Sweat continued to dripdown his face, and his stress levels began to rise. They couldn't continue this game of cat and mouse much longer, they needed a plan. "Kre'nel - what's happening with those pirates?" "The fighters that struck at us were wiped out by the TIEs, though they were able to take a few with them. "The rest of the pirate force is being attacked by a pair of ISDs. They appear to be holding their own for now - though, they too will be over run in a few minutes." "Well, we don't have much of a choice. "Helm, change course and head straight for the pirates location."
  13. Ok, I'm going to let things pan out between Pytho and T'Char for now - unless you post something that involves me
  14. Rantar smiled to himself slightly, as he watched Afton take command quickly and easily. As she moved to the door to let Josson in, Rantar took it as his queue to leave things in Afton's obviously capable hands. He headed towards the command post, where his head of intellegence would be waiting for him to give a quick briefing on what's happening around their world. It was a boring routine, though a necassary one. OOC: Just to keep things rolling. Nothing really happens
  15. Well, speaking of the mod being "dead" - it's download links sure are. For the SWREbellion and LucasFiles downloads I get a Cannot Find Server error. As for the third choice in downloads, at ModFiles, I get a page that says that an Illegal Request has been made due to ModFiles redirecting to FragFiles. So, where can I download it? I'm still running 0.40 and NEED my update
  16. We're in this together now - Nine Inch Nails
  17. I use Windows Media Player - use to be just because it came with Windows, though I like it now. Prior to that, I used Sonique - which I still like, though I've been waiting for Sonqiue 2 for several years now and doubt they'll release it
  18. Except, instead of being carbonite - that's what some Stormies found on the bottom of an AT-AT's foot. P.S. Awesome pic, where'd you find it?
  19. Black Sabbath - changes
  20. My brother and I had heat problem with our last system - both were AMD Thunderbirds (mine was a 900, my brothers was a gig - and this was during the first run of the thunderbird CPUs) My soloution was simple: Powerdrill My brother did simular, though also added several fans - putting a total of 9 fans in his case. Was quiet loud indeed As for GAT's point on Xp-64bit edition - he's correct. That OS was crap, thus I havn't bothered with it. However, Microsith has recently released a newer version of the OS that apparently has fixed the problem that the old has. Now, I havn't had the time to verify this myself - I'm only going on what a friend told me. So there's still a chance that it sucks
  21. I've got two, maybe three friends who are going for the very first session - and I wished I could have made it [shakes fist in the air]Damn living out in the middle of no-where!!![/shake] Hopefully I'll see it about a week later.
  22. I got two wrong - the first question about the rumoured writter for Epidode III, and that's because I'm trying to leave as much as E3 a mystery as possible. So I had no idea there. The second one I got wrong was because it was towards the end and I wasn't reading the question completely. I saw Episode V, Han Solo and bounter hunter so instinctively put Boba down. Re-reading the question after getting it wrong keyed me into the question asking which bounter hunter wasn't there See, it pays to read things
  23. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't doubting you - I was simply curious on how things were different in other countries, as at the place where I work there was a 12-14 year old girl who wasn't legally allowed to work there. Perhaps it has to do with the food industry as well, I'm not sure as I'm not several years beyond that point in life. Nevertheless, I still assumed countries (or most modern countries) had a mininum age or something to that extent regaurding work.
  24. Personally, not a fan of Dells. So far, every Dell that I've encountered has broken down in around a month or two or are just shotty quality in all regaurds. For example, our uni just upgraded an entire lab with Dells - and less than a day later two weren't working (not necassarily the comps fault, could just be people screwing around with them). All of the cases are flimsy, plasticy crap that are already falling apart and don't even fit together properlly. They're noisy - and after getting a silent case and fans or a laptop, you'd be surprised how good a computer is when they're whisper quiet - currently my computer makes less noise than the laptop I'm using Perhaps it's just Dell Australia, though I've never heard of a good thing about Dell let alone experienced any As for making your own PC, it usually works out a lot cheaper - even if you pay the joint to put it together. My latest upgrade cost me just over $1500AU for a MSI K8T Neo, AMD 64-bit 3000+, 1 Gig of Kingmax RAM (not my choice, the place ran out of Kingston and I didn't want to pay the additional $100 more for Corsair), Antec Sonata case with 400W powersupply, Gigacube Radeon 9800 pro extreme (don't get Gigacube . . . not crap, they're just the "standard" - get Asus if there's a choice), a LG CD-RW for $40 (it was cheap ) and my dad got me some speakers and a subwoofer for around $60. They're Viewmaster . . . and yet they're really good If I'd payed $50 more, they would have put it together, and installed Windows XP Pro for me as well as giving me a 1 year warrantee - though jobless at the time meant that I couldn't afford those little luxuries. 2G would have been enough for a decent HDD, a 17" CRT a mouse and keybord (as long as you're not going for some high end Logitech peice of hardware) as well as all the other stuff. For me at least, it's great - I'll upgrade the CPU soonish just for a little more "grunt" and use the new XP 64bit pro that's been released assuming its any good.
  25. [Mr. Burn's voice]Exellent[/Mr. Burns] It's really bugging me now that I can't upgrade anymore, I need 640,000 to upgrade my defences to the next level. Though everytime I get over around 400,000 I get attacked and loose it all. Hmm, I might have to start attacking people - so far I've only attacked those who've attacked me . . .
