Bear in mind they might be saving some things to surprise us in the demo. It was unlikely that they'd give us access to everything in one go when there are still 2-3 months left until release.

It's probably released on the the 10th here in England because games usually come out on the friday. Just an educated guess though. I have no idea what the usual release day is for the US or the rest of Europe.

I was just thinking how months ago everyone was complaining because we all wanted the DS to fire upon capital ships. It doesn't seem quite so important anymore, does it? I must admit I love the weapon, but I did also enjoy the breaking apart effects on the station afterwards. It's probably the normal break apart animation all at once, but it does look cool. Probably one of my favourite clips so far.

I didn't notice him deflecting shots, I just saw them hitting him and him taking the punishment like in other rts games. Then again, the rocket explosions do obscure him when they hit. I think we need a close up of this before I jump to any conclusions.

I never thought of it that way, but you could well be right Nevets. That lack of Ep3 planets I just figured was LEC not revealling all the planets yet, saving the stuff they would see as good publicity for the run up to the actual release. But yes, now you mention the chance of it being an expansion, it does seem more likely.

Maybe depending on the unit we get different time frames for how long the persistency lasts. I mean, every unit has some persistence, whether it be for 5 seconds or 20. Maybe the AT-AT just has a longer time to fade away than the troops etc.

It must be a western european tradition, because I'm afraid I've never heard of it. Having said that my knowledge of specific christmas traditions in other countries is decidedly scetchy. Anyway, the decorations around Canterbury seem all to be up again, and have been for a while though. They even had christmas things in some stores before haloween. Now that's taking it to crazy levels.

The concept art seems to suggest that. As did some of their older pictures they had on the previous version of the site. We have only seen the one station so far though, as far as I can tell anyhow.

Huzzah for Tarkin. If there's one thing that has come from all this revamping to be the most exciting it's got to be that. For me anyhow. It's looking very cool though. Let's just they keep it updated now. By the way, I'm late looking at it because I was previously stuck with an old version of flash. Damn thing didn't want to go. EDIT: I'm still looking through the new stuff, but I love Darth Vader's force push now. Much improved over their earlier work.

I don't think the downloads of old games for the revolution are free, but I'm willing to bet they'll be quite cheap. Think of it more like downloading music (the paying legal way, not the dodgy way).

Yeah, I agree with you Garbageben. As a statement for a demo, that really doesn't inspire any confidence. Sounds like the kind of statement they would make if they didn't have one planned at all. One thing that brightened my spirits slightly was the fact they say they'd start confirming other heroes very soon. I'd be interested to see if they'd show us some 'minor heroes' so we have an idea of the difference between major and minor ones. The only thing we've got so far to judge where the line is drawn is that Jet Porkins is a major one. Plus I'd very much like to see a screenshot or to of Tarkin in game. That'd cheer up my spirits no end.

I saw either this or something very like it two years ago. Didn't scare me then... I was expecting it this time, so wasn't much of an impact this time around either. Dark side indeed.

The time of year is getting to everyone. Even I thought about giving up my position so I could concentrate on work in the real world, and the influx of immature blood to the forums isn't a help. Hope the break does you good Fosh. In the meantime, I'll do my best to keep up the British side of the forums... what, what. Tally ho, etc...

Little.B has played the game demo (A game demo I should say) at one of the german games conventions. Compared to the most of us, his experience of the game is better because of this. Therefore what he says is probably based on his observations from actually playing an early version of it.

RE-VO-Lution... I started with Nintendo. I sure as hell ain't going to stop now. Just imagine the potential for a revolution Zelda... and I can dl all the oldies... Yeah. This will be the most likely one I'll buy. Having said that I'm more a PC person now. Oh the shame. I probably wont get the others. Not that the others are bad, they just aren't my consoles.

HEY . I have two female characters. I don't consider myself any less of man for it. I have two male characters too. I just consider it as not being sexist that's all. If someone in game asks me if I'm a male or female I'm going to tell the truth, since by lying I'm... well I'd just be crazy in the head or sommat. I know where you're coming from Swift though. Guys pretending to be female for kicks is... well it's kinda creepy. But I figure you can have a female character without falling ito that category. Next time I'm on I must remember to add you to my friends list ghostly. When I do go on I keep forgetting.

The upside of our guild is we're all connected in real life. The leader is my friend and housmate here, and all the members are friends of ours, siblings...etc. then they ask their friends to join and we get to know them too. It works quite well that way. We're small and not in it to be number one. We just have fun and help each other out with the game.

He's been given a warning before and it hasn't really done much. He had his account deactivated even and he still came back. A cool off period seems like a good idea, and probably a strongly worded PM. There's nothing wrong with posting, but he doesn't seem to contribute much, and it is mostly complaining about lack of information.

I managed to make a map out of it, but it really did take a whole load of time and was slow in parts. I have 2gig ram here, I hate to think what it was like on slower cpus. I never found the trigger stuff. I found very little in the way of tutorials so I just gave up. Hell, I stayed on the warcraft 3 editor longer than I did the BFME one, and I never really had the slightest clue what I was doing with the W3 editor.

They're good. Not the best models I've ever seen, but they're good. Maybe if they hadn't made obi-Wan look like a giraffe I might have gone for excellent, but to be honest they fall a little short. But to be far, so do most games.
