  1. On the surface of things 2 seems the best and easiest option, but you'd be stuck fiddling around with tiny units on the battlefield, which might get frustrating quickly. 1 sounds like a lot more work, but probably much more worth it in the end. I can't see much problem with having larger maps, except that you might have to explore more. A mix could work, but I personally think if you're going to the effort of changing the maps anyway, you might as well go the whole way with just 2.
  2. Thought I'd just raise this topic back to the top and point out we're on 348 members. Just to remind you all. Party time cometh...
  3. I still have an FX5200. It's fine, but I can see myself heading for a 6600GT as the price drops. That's probably the most my computer can handle and actually make a difference with without having to upgrade my processor.
  4. Very nice. I love the last one and first one. The first because there's a real melee going on there, and it just looks cool in my opinion. The last I like because it's got a great atmosphere, and as I've said before I like the weather effects.
  5. Maybe the cantina could be like a research building. Ok, so not exactly like a true research building, but more like commercial upgrades. Things to improve the resource gathering rates of a planet maybe. It's hard to say, they haven't really said very much on the purpose of the building.
  6. Oh yeah. It feels good to be right.

    SNOW!

Ah, but that's not true winter snow... It's got no christmas 'feel'. That's just some leftover stuff to make going in to uni more troublesome after a relaxing break.
  8. Fett I consider to be like Kyle and Dash are to the Rebellion as he is to the Imperials. He has sympathies. In terms of gameplay I wouldn't mind seeing him hired by either side, but if he's on Imperial only I can settle with that. It still makes sense.
  9. No engines? I think the best course of action is to bend over and kiss your arse goodbye. Seriously, you're a sitting duck. Now, if you had engines, it's still tough, but at least you can actually do something to determine the outcome of the battle. Here you just have to sit and hope the ships repair over time during battle. Even then you're just depending on the slow speed or stupidity of your opponent. Most likely they'll just wipe your ships out. All of them.
  10. Sounds good MyZrael. I think you're on the right track with going Terran and Protoss primarily. Zerg are much better off as replacing neutral factions in EAW, that is if you can find someone capable of making semi-organic models. I would hate to see them left out completely you see . I would help with ideas, but it's been a long while since I played the starcraft campaign all the way through, and my mind has sort of fuzzed over some areas of storyline and history. I like where you're headed with the agents idea though.

    SNOW!

Not quite yet we haven't. We had hail for a couple of seconds a week ago and apparently there was some snow that didn't settle about 1am some day... but nothing special. Quite frankly I hope it doesn't. I have no desire to stand at the bus stop at 8:00am, half asleep and freezing to death with snow gethering around me. The buses run so badly at christmas time even without snow. If it can wait until I break up for the holidays that would be nice... but since it's a holiday, I won't be in Kent anymore to appreciate it .
  12. What's the son's name again... Yeah, I think another draft would help. Firstly it feels very fragmanted, and this is mainly because you keep repeating Edward's name. If you were to put 'he' in replacement of 'Edward' for some of the more redundant places it would flow much more nicely. Of all this is probably the most distracting currently, but it's easily sorted. Your use of speech between characters could probably be improved upon here too, but again this is improved quite a lot simply by removing some of the 'Edward' references. You also tend to be 'telling' the reader a lot instead of 'showing'. As a result there isn't much description in the piece. Try to be a bit more subtle and introduce aspects which could show us the things you tell us. To be positive, I enjoyed it despite the fragmentation. Now this could be it's just close to home here, but in any case I found it enjoyable. I think it might be because you've got a good place to begin a story, with the training fight. Add a little more detail to the fight, but it's a nice place to start a story, and does get you instantly involved with the character. Again this is all constructive criticism here. I don't mean to offend or suggest that it's bad. The criticism is only intended to try to help it get better.
  13. And that would be me. ^ Darn forum kicked me out again. I don't know why it keeps doing that.
  14. I wouldn't say that exactly. As far as I was aware some of them had leanings. IG-88 though was anti-humanity, and Bossk was mainly anti-wookie more than anti-rebellion. I woulddn't know about Zuckuss and 4LOM. They ended up with the rebels though as far as I'm aware, so that says enough about their loyalties. I don't think I could class any of them as Imperial per se, they're just what they are, bounty hunters. In the end their primary reason for hunting Solo was for the cash. I mean, that's what it's all about there. If you're a bounty hunter you look out for yourself, and that means finding a client with loads of cash. It doesn't matter at the end of the day whether you love or hate what they're doing as long as number one gets number one's money... Dash I do consider a strong Rebel sympathiser though. Like Kyle in that respect. As for the Hutt palace, it does look out of place in that picture... but since I hadn't looked that closely at it before it's still nice to have a look at.
  15. Delphi already has in regards to the game. There is no SSD. End of story. Also you might want to watch it there NightmareKato. We don't want any flaming, even if the question keeps being asked. Some people just don't know.
  16. Welcome to the forums
  17. You wouldn't gain much by doing that anyway. The admin would still know. If you have a problem I would suggest you take it up with Cain or one of the other Admins, and until then not post anymore on this secondary account. By doing so you just make your case worse.
  18. Juggernaut's right. Blizzard are very good at getting mods shut down very promptly. Probably best not to start one, especially if there are only going to be a small group who will ever know about it. Kinda defeats the point of them contributing to the community.
  19. They've not got some EpII and III worlds yet. I figured they'd be some of the first to be made. In paticular: Kamino - Good fishing spot, I gather. Bring an umbrella. Mustafar - Not so good for fishing. Not great for diving either. Yowch. There are some others I could mention which aren't prequal ones, but since other members mentioned them before in other threads I'll leave those for them to post.
  20. Some damn fine work there. I especially like your take on the AF MkII. Can't wait to see what that looks like with a completed skin.
  21. The avatars are all going festive all of a sudden.
  22. I think the alerts to destroyed vessels can be turned off. It's one of those things I think they'll realise some people will hate. As for the ties, I think that's just a normal alert when a squad of ties is created. That seems no different from any other rts, and will probably have a slider to determine the volume like other games of this nature. However this is all guesswork on my part. Don't take this as being certain, because we really don't have enough info to go on regarding this. Also, welcome to the forums.
  23. If you plan to make a planet you'll have to map at least two battlefields bear in mind. That's only if there's only one space and one ground needed. It's probably not hard, but you would need to put a good deal of effort in to get something decent. I wouldn't have thought it's going to be as easy as changing a number in the XML files for example.
  24. I'm still here as I always was. True, I never post as much as Ghostly or Fosh used to, but I'm here. It's better than nothing.
  25. Ah, I do see it now. Pity Vader doesn't seem to have any animation for deflecting them. As far as I can see they just bounce off. Still, it does look pretty good. Better than him just absorbing all of them.
