  1. I play a Monk. Mo/R lvl20. They're pretty cool. I'm heavy on the heal, and I'm so far the only primary monk in our guild. It sounds cool the role of savior, but with so many W/Ms around with no idea of the amount of things I actually do... and they then think they can take on anything with their cool builds It makes me mad sometimes. But on those occasions I can always simply stop healing
  2. My guess is you need a file for the model, one for the ship specs/sizes/weaponry/shield etc and one for the textures. Say you want a customised star destroyer, you would only need the one file because the modle and textures are already in game. Then you just open up the file for ship specs and adjust it as you see fit with custom size, weapons etc... It's hard to say, seeing as we don't ahve any real info on this aspect of the game other than it uses XML files and is easy to mod.
  3. Space vessels that were destroyed stay as part of the scenery don't they? If they do then it's very likely that the bodies and tracks will remain.
  4. You have to capture them from bosses. You can only have one elite in your skill selection at a time though because they're usually pretty powerful. It's a lot later in games so I wouldn't worry about it just yet.
  5. sorry, got to this a bit late to help. But yeah, I know where you are now. You'll probably find that the Charr drop quite a few sets of thier own armour you can't wear and probably sell. They tend to be best in the area to salvage bolts of cloth from, and you'll probably get tanned hide from them as well.
  6. Yup everyone heard december. I heard early like Naja, but the truth is it could be any time between now and February. With any luck the FAQ LEC_Rogue is making might clear this issue up once released. One thing's for sure, there's bound to be a demo.
  7. Salvaging items give them. I forget which specifically, but if you get a normal savage pack for 100g and use it on the useless junk you pick up it should eventually give some. Stuff specifically for salvaging usually gives the best results. Usually as a rule, the higher the level of the salvaging piece, the more resources you'll get out of it. Where abouts in the game are you? If I had some idea I could look into what local drops gives them.
  8. Welcome to the forums, Lordstorm.
  9. Against a human player they'd probably notice the different colour markings. Team colours tend to usually give those things away. I suppose they might not notice, and if the enemy ai is programmed not to attack similar units (ie: Imperial units never attack other Imperial units no matter what side they're on, unless ordered to) you might get away with it. This is really a long shot though. That kind of ship ai just doesn't make sense, two imperials vs each other in a skirmish would always have to order their ships to attack. As for playing solo against an AI opponent, they'll just know their own units. They always do.
  10. I've only played the Eldar scrolls III, but it's pretty good. Truth be told I've modded the hell out of that, so it's better for me now than the original stand alone game by far. I'll try to base what I say on things that are in with the original game. It's similar to neverwinter in some ways, but I find the fight system has more freedom, and is generally much faster. If there was any one thing that drew me away from NW, it was the long roll based fighting. Not my cup of tea. One thing I do like about morrowind that I didn't find in NW, is the sheer amounts of rubbish you can pick up. I claimed a house after I got a mission to kill all the inhabitants, so now I store all my stuff there, weapons, potions, clothing, candles, books, pillows, goblets, paper, buckets... basically all the useless rubbish I find, and I find a lot. I also found NW to be very plot driven with the quests etc. For morrowind you can go into a stupidly large amount of dungeons scattered on the map where there is no point to it other than perhaps to kill enemies and find treasure. It feels more like you're making your own plot rather than following a set one. Still, I'm probably being unfair to NW. It's hard to compare, because it's so long since I last played NW and I only played morrowind yesterday. Yeah, for me it just has more freedom and appeal than NW. I suppose that's just my personal preference though.
  11. No question. Offical warning. Then ban. Let's get rid of him before he begins to stir up trouble. Truth of the matter is, if he doesn't like what petroglyph is making, why the hell is he here? It's got to be to stir up trouble. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't Cheese or one of the others who are being ousted from the LEC forums...
  12. I played the original Neverwinter on my computer for about a month. I can safely say it's one of the few games I think I will never get back to. Not that it was bad, I just found it lacked any momentum. The battles I fought seemed to last forever and I just grew tired of it and never returned. If I want something like it I now turn to things like Morrowind instead. Still this is just my opinion, I know some people who really liked it.... I figure they're just crazy though I'm really going to neeed a good review from a reputable source to convince me to get NWN2. A good boost in speed and the ability to draw me back to it every couple of months like most games would be a welcome change.
  13. I think it's the one sentence post to an old thread which doesn't contribute to it. Like saying 'Yeah I agree' to a thread that's well over three months old. I can see how that'd get annoying fast. Having said that, I do agree with you on the revival of old ones over making repeat topics. Repeating topics in a new thread when we've already made our arguements elsewhere seems unnecessary. Still, I believe Juggernaut and Fosh know what they're doing. If it really gets out of hand I'm sure there will be discussion on the matter, but as it is now, they're just maintaining the forum as they see fit. No point interferring over such a small issue at present.
  14. Why should British be offended by the American revolution now? It's something that happened and is part of American history. Besides, the analagy you use is pretty decent for the two. The 'rebels' are surely going to be on a weaker footing simply because they fight against the imposed 'government', which as a rule will always have stronger methods of maintaining control. Oh, and there's probably only about 30-40% British here in terms of regular posters. We don't rule the forum. All in all it's pretty international, which is great for different points of view.
  15. It caught hold of me a while back. I'm one of the first to complain about the way BFME1 turned out, but it's LOTR, it has a certain atmosphere that I enjoy. The second one seems pretty cool from what I've seen, so I'll most likely get it and give EA another chance. The 'War of the Ring' mode doesn't appeal to me too much, but I too look forward to the create a Hero mode. I found a nifty naming thing a while back for LOTR, and I can guarantee my heroes will use some of those names. Pity you can only have 1 custom hero on your team at a time. The other thing I like is that you can build wherever you want. I wasn't a fan of build plots and set castles. Now I can build a huge fortress of epic proportions... it's true. Isengard now gets walls... Oh, if anyone's interested that naming thing I mentioned can be found here: http://www.barrowdowns.com/middleearthname.php
  16. If you're looking for smallest, I'd agree with you about Squads. It is probably the best size wise if you're looking for smaller, but is also small enough to make an early game force out of. You might want to consider how those 30-40 in a platoon would take on the 8-12 squad. Something in my head suggests if done wrong the platoon could lead to be overpowered. Same for the gap between company and platoon, and similar thing for the vehicles. My advice is go for what your gut reaction is. Since it's your concept, you have a better idea of what you want out of the mod.
  17. Every single reference to Jar Jar is an enemy of the universe...
  18. Can you give us any idea of what each of those means in terms of numbers?
  19. No, surely not No really, it's just forum running stuff. Telling the mods what to do etc. It really isn't that exciting, trust me.
  20. See the subforum named P02. It stands for Project 02. It's just a name for what Petroglyph has up their sleeves next.
  21. Welcome to the forums. It's a good first post, but you might think about renaming the title to reflect the purpose your first post. That way it would probably help new people to the site more. Just a thought. In any case, again, welcome to the forums.
  22. My Imperial flagship I think will be renamed 'The Pretty Bessie' after the Dark Jedi's star destroyer in the machinima project I write. Either that or I'll name it after our Grand Moff's one. It hasn't been named yet. Like I said elsewhere I'll name one Enterprise, because I tend to name at least one ship that when I can. It will most likely end up my Rebel flagship unless I come up with something in the meanwhile. Most of the others will probably remain the same as they get when they are built. Only my veteran units will get renamed after those first two.
  23. Agriculture I'll think you'll find
  24. Seen 'em all. Even was very active on their forums until the whole thing shut down. It was a shame too, one of them was talking about a spin off set in an imperial run restaurant. I skinned some characters for them too, but their group all fell apart before anything came of it. Having said that, they gave me advice regarding what types of mods they use and their methods of filming. As for the series itself, it's very British in its comedy, and some stuff is quite blatently based heavily on Monty Python and other works, but all in all it's pretty damn funny. I love their emperor in that. Ep19 is a real winner.
  25. Don't worry about it. I think all the regulars here know and accept that. It's more about the mere presence of you here than any potential new information you post. Good luck with the large amounts of work. Don't forget to get some rest occasionally. That goes for all of you there.
