  1. I feel an organized chat comming on...
  2. This only goes to highlight the quick descent into chaos quoting from EU stuff, or in this case the official novals of the original films! It's easier if we stick to what we get to see in the films in this instance I reckon. EDIT: Stella dude: I brain has evaperated into numerical-meaningless! I need a cup of tea.
  3. I'ld say! Possibly the greatest LP to come out of Brazil in the last fifty years...? http://www.sternsmusic.com/cdi/fixedSize350x350/5181152.jpg If you see it in your local store (which is exceedingly unlikely); buy it. It makes a refreshing change! The Dandy Warhols-Not if you were the last junky on earth
  4. Keep him! He didn't die in the film so we can ignore the fact he dies in the book. Anyway, it was Hobbie's airspeeder that killed him and unless Hobbie jumped clear at about 300 mph we're be shagged for another character... if we're using him..can't remember..
  5. Yes. A crashing airspeeder takes out the bridge of his AT-AT after he detroys the generator. Where' my edit gone?
  6. Thanks Grand Moff! Actually, I don't know, since I've paused it couple of times because of the screenshots. But the Death Star could recharge about 2 times after the first shot... How did you speed up the DS?
  7. Grand Admiral Dude, my personnal question shouldn't have given the impression that the Thrawn stuff was consider more 'real' than other Eu stuff! If you think about it for a sec, it would contradict this thread's main point! I made the suggestion we not use the EU because by and large it's so the efforts of so many, so beyond GL's mind; where do you draw the line! For every well thought out bit of EU SW mythos I can come back and batter you with absolute childish crap from 70's Marvel comics, or utter rubbish like my dreadful experiance with 'Darksaber,' whilst floating on a boat of the coast of Spain. Who desides what's in or simply ludicrous as far as as the SW mythos goes? Personnally I think it would be wise to draw the line at the movies; all of you lot have of course the right to utterly disagree with my spontanious decision to throw my copy into the mediterranean in disgust; if you considered it a good read then well cool. There were obvious non-Stormtrooper Imperial soldiers in the movies; those otherwise rebel troopers if they weren't wearing black, unreferenced in the movies. But they were equiped with guns and stood on guard, so they must have been Imperial soldiers of sorts. Given we get to see so little of the larger galaxy in the movies maybe these are are mainstray Imperial soldiers other than Stormtroopers.

  10. Print screen and paste doesn't seem to work. And what is Hypersnap DX?

  12. What a visual feast and treat for the eyes! Remind me how to screen capture again?

  14. The Holy-Grail has to pop up at any moment!
  15. A brilliant example of an academic post comming to rescue this increasingly very interesting topic LF! Your last one is going on my wall. Brilliant!
  16. I have seen everything now. I can rest.
  17. Forgot to quote this! I wonder about this frequently; usually when i'm staring at my ceiling at the end of an evening!
  18. Err... if you watched Star Wars A New Hope, you would realize they were not 'guarding Tattooine!' They were searching and trying to secure some droids with the battle plans for the Empire's marvelous new Death Star. Obviously, raw recruits are the most logical military move in such a situation; after all the Empire has just made the most far reaching economic investment the galaxy has ever seen building the Death Star, so of course won't be interested in securing any weakness with proven elite troopers... Forgive the sarcasm! I think three Star Destroyers were present at Tattooine during ANH! Slight overkill on a shape of a civil defense is it? The troopers involved in ANH on Tattooine were obviously despatched from these Star Destroyers, as stated in the film's dialoge. I'll give you one final point to consume. Iraq. The British and North American governments have to pay war-level wages to their soldiers serving there. Clones on constant military 'conquest.' Makes economic sense doesn't it?
  19. He he M78! My personal favorite quote: FIDO F**k it, drive on! -British Army
  20. Indeed! Why relay on one clone-source; Jango Fett; when you can specialize on individual characteristics and clone for specific Stormtrooper types/mission profiles/specialists, sort of thing! Given the events in the prequals were before Darth Sidious has finalized his grand plan and executed an excuse for a military machine the like's of which the galaxy has never seen, (the Empire); it's reasonably obvious to assume that in the years that have transpired onto the original movies cloning has become widespread throughout the New Order. Why restrict it to Kamino? This also all makes my my SW sentimantality to go into overload when I hear Imperial March; for so devious has Darth Sidious been in creating the Empire! A work of genius! Create a war for an excuse to create an army beyond anything before seen, in order to subjugate the galaxy in the larger picture. The film critics who haven't seen this and go with the flow at trashing the new films should go and listen to Holst:The Planets. I recomnend Mars; God of War.
  21. * Fair enough larger point with your point dude, but don't ever loose sight of the fact that all the movies are essentially works of 'heroic-fantasy,' and the tale wouldn't get off the ground if Stormtroopers shot as accurately in the orginal films as they obviously did in what we're seeing in the prequals! As I said previously, the MFalcon wouldn't have got off the ground on Tattooine, and that would have been that! FOR GOD'S SAKE TO ALL OF THE BRAIN-DEAD SW COMMUNITY can we drop this growing spackoid theory that clones in the original movies were superior to those we got to witness in the original films! THEY WE NOT AIMING THEIR GUNS AT OUR HERO'S!!!!!It doesn't require to much insight to figure this out in an unrealic sci-fi kid's fantasy!!! Err..Let's be realistic and allow our hero's to be shot to pieces. Makes a fun movie! NOT. Imperial Evolution: "Good news sir!" "What's that, badly trained officer?" "The latest regiment of Stormtroopers have arrived; they are more crap than the first!" "Good, good; this makes obvious sense! Contact R&D to congrat them on their brilliant advances in decades of research!" "Immediately sir!" "Good, after that execute yourself." "With honor sir!" etc... *yawn* *aint aimed at you SM dude!
  22. Exceedingly strange... I think I shall stick to Lager...
  23. That's the best thing i've seen posted around here for a long time M78! Woo to you; for that actually made me unwittingly-maneuver a mouth full of lager onto my monitor. No worries about the mess! Looking forward to the nextiness episode I am! Anyway, being a rational-minded bloke, I find Natalie Portman exceptionally attractive*, Star Wars or no Star Wars; so am always trying to find ways to utilize her divine image in the slightest bit of nonsense that flutters past my transluscent thoughts. This involves a pair of mice, herself, and an angry kitten; work out the plot yourself! Quite frankly I realize it's probably a shameless excuse to concentrate on NP! BUT WHO CARES! http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0UwDrAh4bxa!O6jHI*!N3nwa8*XdWxfn0Kh26VyXCm3Wp1hDRk2yxeasPo3q1ImrWe9y496xlnPmZIR*y9W7YqDTq!gBmXuwXsvjhasbGuBXv7xiBAWIFLq!xLVSFyAxw/shamelessportmanexcuse0.gif *So does my girlfriend
  24. Being a bit slow, i've just picked up on this thread, and am stunned at certain dudes from Germany and Hungary have been disecting from the game's files... Any chance of somekind of of lovely little prgrame that might enable the challenged PC-wise(such as me) to exploit your discoveries in a game?
  25. ooh! Relax dude! I've been used to this sort of thing for years now. Anyway, i've been busy muching some toast some kind Jedi delivered in about 2/10s of an impressive second.
