I've not seen it online, but the readme files of the game (on the disk) are reasonably comprehensive and contain lots of detailed stuff like the shortcuts etc..

True... but it must be considered that GL is still far from retirement and has mastered the 'make huge amounts of money,' thing from all the SW films he's done thus far. There is in fact a cardspace update download that gives every character card the leangth of Darth Vaders and their name as well... it should be in the downloads section, but is definitly on The_Mask's website...

I'm torn between suggesting you finding it amusing seeing people struggling to survive the torrent of water, and you finding similar grim humor in people throwing themselves out of the twin towers 9/11, for example. I don't know what media access you have access to, but what i've seen has been pretty bloody grim; ie: people loosing that struggle to survive in front of your eyes. Not very nice. Whilst it is good the globe is addressing a very natural disaster, and doing stuff like they are; your comment on humanity's own stupidity shouldn't be to lost, and if viewed when stood back, shouldn't be dismissed out of hand in this context; despite the fact I still find it hard to understand your amuzement at seeing people struggle from the oncomming wave. Why does it take a disaster of such magnitude to mobilize the world's financial resources into action? This is humanitys' own stupidity. Poverty is still the biggest 'cull' factor in the world, as Trej pointed out, there is an AIDs epidemic about to utterly destabilize the African continant at least.

Annoyingly, the game doesn't want to work on my current elderly machine these days... However, my mate who lives in China was around today (plus noisy five year old daughter), and reckons a Linux program called magic might be able to identify what the music formats are... and he just happens to have a linux disc with him (but not on him!) soo when he pops round again in a day or so we might just be able to identify it using the disk in my E-drive..

Playing the game on anything later than Windows 98 unfortunately doesn't give you the option... though i'm probably wrong.

Anyone! It can't be that hard to convert these music files to something I can listen to away from actually playing the game!

Err... right I think some of the original music from X-Wing Alliance and the original Jedi Knight games are cool and want to have happy lives in my HD where I can listen to them. I've established how to get at the .GOB file containers, and extract the files I think i'm after (Nar Shaddaa the Vertical City chiefly...) but how do I convert them to WAV format? X-Wing Alliance is even more confussing, the music scores are in .IMC format; so i'm utterly stumped here. In particular I like the background music in the family transport with Wee-Gee or what ever he's called infront of you. Any advice oh kind people?
