  1. Interesting stuff! However, I got lost in hyperspace comming back from the pub and read this last week.
  2. I love a good general notice!! Have you tried http://www.google.com Star Wars Avatars I found This
  3. I'm not really bothered about a few million years in the future given my bones will have long returned to the essance of the cosmos; but, isn't this an achievement of the joint European Space Agencies working together? Don't call me an old hippy, but what more could be achieved with North America's massive financial resources, Russia's, China's, and India's not least. Working together.... ***throws beer can at CD Player playing 'Imagine,'*** Stuff like this only increases my tatered faith in humanity, in some wishfull thinking way. If only....
  4. I must confess to agree with JI on this one. The Allegiance SSD that appeared in Dark Empire was simply drawn slightly wrong. A ship of a SSDs size will never be absolutely identical; they are miles and miles in leangth! All the rest is simply fan input from our sometimes over active SW community.... Anything larger than a Star Destroyer is 'Super,' sized in my book, and that's without a month's diet of McPalpatine junk food.
  5. Doubt you get him over in the States, buuuttt: http://www.alan-partridge.co.uk He's a spoof TV Personality. Twej: Very helpful! To my horror that software opened things up effortlessly!
  6. WOOOOOOOOOOOO! Nice one Trej, i've got what I wanted to hear from x-wing Alliance; though at 39 mb I might well need what you mentioned about mp4 conversion. Owe you for this.
  7. I thought we already achieved succesful teleportation... You use the word 'succesful,' rather liberally my friend; what exactly was teleported?
  8. I can't believe nobody has said it yet.. because that would only destroy all life on the planet, not turn the planet itself into a few rocks! Also the planetary shields would probably slow that ISD down enough.. you have to remember planets aren't as defenseless as Earth is I forgot to mention the initial salvo of SD turbo lasers taking those shields out. These mile long 'engineering marvels' that inspire 'dread and terror,' where ever they went. But as with all things SW Universe; like the fact I counted about 26 SD at the battle of Yavin, any resembalance of any possibility of common sense is entirely lost in the collective SW Universe. Given TIE Fighters are crewed by clones; Wedge and Skywalker would survive about five seconds in combat with such bred automations trained tirellesly for such a role. I've been boring you lot for years now along these lines, but take my word for it, any pilots you see in Ep 3 who arn't Jedi or wierd aliens, will be clones. It's obvious. Deviation or what.
  9. Which begs the question; where are all the aliens? Surely if your going to make contact with an alien civilization (ours) surely a farmer in midwest North America wouldn't be the choice target for an advanced intersella civilization. Also we would have detected traces of alien civilizations, through radio waves, signals, their equivelant of popular media. I don't go for an international conspiracy either hushing everything up because someone somewhere would have blown the whistle by now, human nature being what it is. Given the age of the universe and our relative late emergance/development, even considering our little Tattooine like planet, our own galaxy at the very least should be teeming with advanced civilizations, with the hyperspace/faster than light capability, if such a thing is possible. Which leads me to assume it isn't.
  10. Which kinda begs the question why did the Empire build a Death Star in the first place. To destroy a planet all they would have to do is neatly line up a mile long Star Destroyer, do some nifty finger work, and evacute all staff.... A mile long object impacting on a planetary surface should incinerate all life.... circa our T-Rex's sudden departure... You just missed it dude! Not enough space for take off dude!
  11. Been watching as much as I can of the footage over here M78!
  12. Hyperspace is a conveniant way for SF authors to escape the concrete fact matter can't travel faster than the speed of light. The energy requirements red-shift into infinite, the radiation leakage would be unhealthy at the very best, and it would create a 'disturbance in the laws of physics' once you get to where ever you were going. You would be existing in two points of space at the same time, given if you looked over your sholder you would still be at your point of origin. However, given that the laws of physics break down utterly at the singularity within a black hole, where anything and everything may happen, i'm going to stick to beer and remember to be polite to any 'wierd looking types' I may stumble across travelling home from the bar.
  13. Cool! In all honesty we've neglected the sound side of things of late, but as my previous post up and above outlines, there is still stuff to be done. Simply chasing the tactical lines in exhausted me enough to virtually quit. Loads of people promised this and that and half proved to complete thin air! Anyway, such is online life. Kaja, record me something simple relating to what you hear in the game at any point, and blast it my way just so I can grasp how you sound. Keep the file packaged up with a rah file and smallish, i've not got broadband at the moment, and we'll see where we can fit you in. Photoshop skills most welcome as far as i'm concerned! And that goes for anybody out there who is confident with such imaging skills. Things on this front have slowed of late due to real life being so rude as to impose itself on our beloved game and upcomming mod! But I will be frank. Most of the upfront stuff you would want to work on, like ships, troops, characters, has almost been done (with a view outstanding exceptions), so whilst you would be free as an equal to comment and thus cintribute on anything once you see the fabled depot, your efforts would be chiefly directed at the .dlls you see ingame, and similar. You will of course need to know how to use the resourcehacker tool, and an understanding of what it's uncovering in the game. Give me a an email if you want to establish anything. Me is not this project's boss or what not, otherwise I would have faded into cyberspace long ago. There is only one Mask as far as the models go. There is only one La_Forge as far as the artwork goes. For detail, Trej's rescripted and reshaped galaxy is to beheld. I appreciate Reloaded is taking bloody ages but stay the course; to much has now been put into it to achieve nothing. But give me a shout if you think you can help out.
  14. It was one of the funniest moments in the movies when C3-P0 defended his suggestion...
  15. Two bloody grand!!! *trying to picture an astromech droid in living room*
  16. Well birthdays these days just make me feel like an old fart, but dude; enjoy, and congratiness!!
  17. I asked him to send that prog to me, once I have it I'll send it into your direction J, and of course to anyone else who's interested. Wooness Trej! Can't wait!
  18. *also smacking head on table* What I find amazing is that the tracks you can play were obviously original to Jedi Knight, but also obviously the work of a proper orchestra! How many other Star Wars game, or even non-sw games go to such lengths! Nice link Mask! I'm going to see if I can crack X-Wing Alliance music files now; which doesn't work in a normal CD player!
  19. He's never been the same since he plugged himself into a power switch on cloud city...
  20. Don't you hate being ignored? Sorry dude! Missed this one.
  21. ***gives GAT a cyber hug*** IT WORKS!!!! http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0PgAIA18S4jeSu22lX1dHrbOdKtHfMgrQR76nKX3!uzdkzMm2fkydjFkD*bKx92EvC6W1yAhZpUMDHmrz69J!AGvOHbZPLRo7/ap.gif Thank you dude! It is just completely beyond me why I dodn't think of this about...errr... three years ago when I first thought of this. Guys, you can listen to the ingame music simply by inserting the disk into your stereo system. And if you were curious, about the second track is what I was after. Excellent.[/url]
  22. The nonsense we find on the web! I found this. In a perfect world we could combine both for some thrilling lightsaber hampster slicing action; all with some music to sing along to! Me like both lots!
  23. Umm...errr... Part of this is just my feline sense of curiosity not being able to achieve a result. I can't recall it from the original movies, so I guess it's exclusive to the game. I kinda wanted to replace some stuff in Rebellion with it. If I drink enough tonight which is unlikely i'll record me whistling and send it to you... Suddenly M78 appeared and made me all happy. I'll have a look at the ingame movies with smacker and see if I can pin point something....
  24. Which I suspect is probably the right answer... However one attempts to adjust stuff with the editor it doesn't seem to have any effect on the Death Star. I once gave the Death Star a 360 degree laser cover of about 2500; range about 49 or something and one still got blown up; all for the 'added bonus' of automatically eliminating a capital ship at the start of a tactical battle. Since 1999 i've only ever had one battle where the Death Star has fired twice. Prehaps i'm to paranoid and should move it from Coruscant more often.
  25. This is an old question that I can't seem to remember if i've read an answer to. Anyone know a way to speed up the Death Star's Super Laser?
