I said this is another thread a long time ago, and was widely dismissed by most, other than Scathe, who was filling in for SOCL being absent, and justified my statement with an extremely long and disturbingly thorough explaination. Having just seen the trailor, the Star Wars mythos has at last become clear. The Empire is built on clones. Not just Stormtrropers (no expanded universe title has been given permission to view their faces!), but any Imperial you see with a face obscuring helmet is a clone. TIE-pilots, Deathe star gunners, the lot. This would also explain why in the original movies such a low value accorded to any trooper's/pilots life by our heros. It seems obvious to me. But I resigned to one of you lot prooving me utterly wrong...

Gosh! Well I finally got to watch it day and by the time Imperial March sounded at the end was drooling and salivating so much over a key-board in an internet cafe, I was bearly able to stay in my chair. That has to be a Dreadnaught battling an Acclamator right? I did here the unmistakable sound of a TIE fighter right? Wow!

I agree with you concerning what to build early in the game; the Carrack Light Cruiser is a very dark horse if used how Light Cruisers are ment to be used (at least at sea in the real world's case during the age of big battle ships) which is as a support ship working in conjunction with heavier battle ships such as the Victory. Unless you are in some way cheating with the Rebellion editor, there is no way you are going to get anywhere sitting around waiting for the big Star Desroyers to be built in the early stages of the game. Carracks can be amassed reletively quickly, and once one has got multiple ship yards up and running, Victory's can be built also relatively quickly. They work very well together, and should in fact form the nucleus of Imperial fleets before you get more interesting options such as Lancers, Assault Transports, and Strike Cruisers. It took me many years to work out that you simply cannot concentrate on Imperial Class Star Destroyers, just because they're hard, and featured in the movies. In the second world war for example, most of the Battleships of renown were supported by numerous support vessles; and as the fate of German battleship Graf Spee demonstrated, that whilst devestating in firepower, were vunerable when taken on by lighter but numerable cruisers. The British took serious puinishment but inflicted enough damage to force the Graf Spee to run for Monteveido; aware of heavier British Battleships on their way. The combination is also very good at causing the rebels a serious headache early in the game if you pull up in one or two of their system, and make very effective blocading ships.

Leon is one of the most woo movies ever made in my opinion. There's a good uncut version where you get to see Matilda 'learning the ropes' of the assassination-trade and plugging people. I highly recomend it!

Two extremely valid points! Therefore I dedicate This picture of a well-known pop singer with a pancake on her head. The first is the most obviously overlooked bit of mis-marketing by that mob at Lucasarts. There are still loads of us who still love and play the game, however frequently or infrequently as the case may be. Why is this? What ingrediant has Rebellion got to stretch out it's life span so much when the game engine is so obviously dated? Is it anything to do with the game engine, but the shear concept of the game? The second point shows how crap depending on Lucasarts and the entire Star Wars franchise can be! Yes, why are they sitting on a title no longer commercially available, supported by only by one update, that only this website quite frankly has kept going with Revolution's editor. Corporate arrogance perhaps, I can think of absolutely no harm commercially for the public release of the game's source code. Perhaps they think they're something big* *Lucasarts may actually be something quite big.

That realy is rather woo M78 dear chap! I tried to cover the hampster Krytos brilliantly re-mashed in blood but failed and gave up! To cheer myself up, I played around with Natalie Portman (as any sane bloke would!) And came up with ten frames that were originally part of something far larger involving mercats, lions, a custard pie, a cucumber and a TIE Fighter; but it all got terribly confussing with the TIE Fighter. It's a bit crap compared with what you guys are posting at the moment, but everytime I see a new gif, there's some processing of learning I guess! Unfortunately this is because most of the alliance ships were created for the game, so you're not likely to find much on the net. However, the excellent Homeworld SW mod has incorporated all of them, and there is a gallery of screen shots somewhere on this site where fairly high resolution, and certainly high quality images of all of them bar the CC-series (I think) can be found. Explore you must!
