  1. Yep, the sight of 40 incoming HomeOne cruisers will ... prove an interesting battle. I once lowered their construction cost to about that of a fighter to get all the names the AI is using. Of course I encountered massive fleets and a battle could sometimes take half an hour without a Deathstar.
  2. You remeber that black horse ? little boy: Fury, in two hours you'll ride to the Sheriff of Palm County and tell him to attack the bandits with a pincer maneuver. Fury: weeeehaha pfffrrr
  3. Can be , that's something we definately need to finish for the TC. I once downloaded quite a bunch of shipnames from a filtered search of the CUSWE, so Reloaded would also have right shipnames. Anyone with more material, please contact me as well
  4. Now you would never hear me saying "noob", cause true to the teachings of Confucius I think we are all learners throughout our lifes. But the answer is simple: I don't sleep I already tried editing the planets, but because I lacked a bright enough picture of Coruscant it came to a temporary halt. Editing them is easy, as far as I remember. vakundok already explained it in the release of his bmp converter. If you look at the palette from tactical, you'll notice some (about 86 I think), skin-colored tones. These are the ones you can use for planets. For each planet you need two bin files, one contains the planet image, the other it's palette. I don't remember the entry numbers at the moment (at work right now), but they should be somewhere above 5030, but it's all in vakundok's readme. So you just paint your planet over the reconverted, original image, to get the position, reduce its colors and convert it with the bmp converter to a .bin and a .pal file. The bin replaces the entry of the planet and the pal that of the, guess ... the palette.
  5. Oh, I didn't answer about the editing, 'cause he said he already knows that.
  6. Staind feat. Fred Durst - outside I'm on the outside, I'm looking in. I can see through you, see your true colors ... Next will be 'Behind blue eyes', still need the original from the Who. Pink's song is new and better than the one from Faithless in my opinion
  7. Random names ? That could explain the difficulties in mapping them. Here's an incomplete list of those I encountered so far: -Bulk Cruiser Deliverance Emancipation Reliant Salvation Rescue Enfranchise Brave Fearless -Gallofree TRN Haste Nimble Race Comet Eurus Quick Nova Eagle Agile Falcon Hawk -Bulk Freighter Wind -Alliance Escort Carrier Eagle Lightning Boreas Haste Notus Shooting Star -Corvette Arrow Hawk Boreas Nimble (double ?) 8. Elvis, that's the monster-remix, of course Ok, the one from Nelly Furtado is playing at the moment.

  10. Not really, they are normal wave files. If you copy them to your hdd and remane their extension to .wav you can even hear them with the Windows media player
  11. Got that with almost every disc in my spine and it used to unsettle a lot of girls during the lectures But as several doctors told me, that wouldn't mean anything. Although I concurr, since before I stretch and the discs slip loudly back into their place, my spine hurts and afterwards it doesn't. I had that snap-crackle-and pop thingy with my fingers a long time as well, but it mostly vanished over the time. Elvis, I still don't recognize that term, but it seems to me to originate from strain to your nerves, somewhere above your knuckles, like the shoulders.
  12. Well, this was among the first things done for the TC. I figured some reference would be the fastest way to find the locations for the stuff to insert. After this rough version, I wanted to have a more elaborate version, but it quickly turned out to be taking a lifetime to map these hundreds of entries and we gradually abandonded the idea. I just mailed it to ya and also added it to the downloads here. As the description says, it just gives you the direction, but that's better than nothing, eh
  13. I could've also said "follow the bouncing ball" Uh, let's talk about that 'like my father' thing Uh huh, there's also Access for boring databases and Powerpoint for watching funny stuff, that others email ya. 28.8 kb ? Oh, that would almost be enough Nope 28.8 means about 2kb/sec. The 5k you get is what mine should give me with the 56k connection, since that's the theoretical maximum for that kind of modem. Was that Miyagi quote from the third movie ? I don't quite remember that one. Have fun during the weekend, but if your wife looks kind of angry, then you forgot valentine's day, which is this Saturday...
  14. Just follow the white rabbit... Frontpage comes with Ms-Office. If you don't have it, another (and also free) editor would be Netscape composer, which is included with the browser. You upload the stuff most of the times via FTP, but I will get to that, once you got the page ready Same with my connection at home, only that my phone company did something to my line and cut it down to 28.8 most of the time And most of all, remember the little green Muppet's saying : Do, or do not. There is no try.
  15. I remember Adam Diggins, he used to post news occasionally. But that's been a long time ago, I think more than 2 years at best. Well, I guess it will remain a mistery, what ever happened to Mr. Diggins. (Yes, the last part is from the episode title of a scifi show, you can guess which one )
  16. If it's like you could draw a line from your palm/fingers back up to your forearm (and beyond) it originates from your spine. I've had the unfortunate opportunity to "know" a great deal about this stuff firsthand. But you can open and close your fist without difficulties, right ? Btw, what's RSI ?
  17. Nope, that's just the entries in one of the dlls. The character names are there, but their names, when they get ranks are seperate entries. The dlls I mean are in my "name-length" patch, there's encyctext.dll and another, that I can't remember right now Chimera, I also learned it this way But if you search a bit in the forums, you'll see that I warned others about the corrupted dlls. I think it's also in the new fighters tutorial.
  18. Building a small website is also not that hard If you got Frontpage, that would be the easiest way, cause it practically handles like Word. You just write your text, insert a few pictures, arrange that in tables (because this way you can arrange the stuff better) and for the downloadable files you insert a hyperlink. After saving everything on your hdd and viewing it with a browser to make sure it looks the way you want it, you upload it to your webspace and presto
  19. More than 12 months of editing here and it's still running smoothly Just remember not to have ResHack with an opened dll when you launch RebEd. Close Resource Hacker first and your dlls will not get damaged
  20. But if he comes with a black cape and says something about the children of the night: run like hell Labeled boxes, Dino ? Somehow I should've expected that I think all the boxes from the time we moved are still below the roof. After two weeks it occured to me, that it might've been a mistake to move those with my hundreds of Spiderman comics up there, first. Would be cool to browse through them again, but it would take half a day to even get close to them. Also I don't wanna see, what the mice did to them
  21. Bet you can't do a 720°, huh ? Which is something I cannot do as well Anyways you shouldn't do that too often, I could "overstretch" my fingers, when I was little. You know, keeping your palm flat (downwards) and moving the fingers up in an angle was never supposed to be. But older you will get and sorry you will be...
  22. Actually, I don't know. I'm reading "Remnant" right now and the team hasn't yet arrived in the unknown regions The bloodfire isn't listed in the CUSWE, but the design on the NJO project's page is definately a cool vessel. The design varies from the other StarWars ships, so that it really could've originated from the Chiss. I'd include it, just for the sake of having another great model for Rebellion
  23. Texas Fett, I can see it before me: you working as a navigator, giving the big birds orders.... Now turn left What ? Where did that F-14 come from ? Jeez that was close. ... after climbing another 1000 feet. You gotta let me finish my sentences, man Dino, isn't it said, that home is, where the heart is ? I've moved once, after living in a little village for 17 years, only to live in another (slightly bigger) village for a little over 8 more years ... As long as my bed's there, I'm fine. Although I wouldn't like to disassemble, move and reassemble all the furniture a few times a year. My spine would definately not like that
  24. KFE Good one, Jahled. That reminds me of something in the long lost German version of "Saturday night live", but that's not something for younger ears
  25. It's also more silent in your room, you can start the game, even if you forgot to put the cd in the drive, ... Oh yes and some people reported, that with the game running this way the music playback was working better, when it somehow didn't, while the ran the game from the cd.
