I could finally upload the quick reference to the dlls I made on my mapping expedition. So if you're anxious to get started, you can brush up your knowledge a bit of what's in the dlls.

 

If anyone wants to add or correct something in it, please tell me.

In both cases, it's the sole .txt file in there

If you wonder about the cathegories:

 

wav means sound files,

desc means general descriptions,

str is for strings that appear in messages

and diag just means dialogs.

What's in the EDATA.### files? The ENCYBMAP.DLL lists only strings that list the EDATA.### files.

Dagobah isn't a leftover, when luke goes to Dagobah, if you search for Luke in the Personnel FInder, it says Dagobah. Jabba's Palace appears in the Personnel Finder, when Luke Leia and Chewie go and look for HAn(Which I guess is in Jabba's Jail)...

What do you suggest Hermitage means? Could that be when characters are "retired"? I've never retired a character, even if they are betraying me (that's what suicide missions are for, right? )

 

If anyone is at home, and can test this, please retire a character and go to the "Personnel Finder" and see what it says. Thanks!

Nope, Hermitage doesn't appear when a char is retired. It appears retired... I guess it must have been somethign with Luke, perhaps if he had some confrontation with Vader before he goes to Dagobah?

Igor, as this is surely to be updated and edited and since I didn't find an apropriate cathegory in the Downloads section I just put it in a new dir on my site. There'll be a html that'll feature and explain our progress as well.

 

I think the hermitage appears, after Luke confronts Vader. There is a message in the dlls saying 'Luke was deeply affected by the encounter and has gone into hiding'. I think that's when it could at least appear

 

Trejiuvanat, thanks for the info ! The Edata should have the stats you change with RebEd. I think these files get changed when you use RebEd. I can't check that right now, cause I'm not at home

Compromise = I'll do the one's that are obvious to me what they are. If i can find the time. A complete directory would be very, very useful wouldn't it?!

 

If you want to, the rest could be divided to equal parts among the rest of the dll-team.

RL? We had a bit of snow yesterday too, which we hardly get. We normally get about an inch or maybe two per year.

If the ice and the snow would stay off the road, then I wouldn't have a problem with 'em as well

Aah, i remember when i was about 5 or 6, on Christmas we woke up, and it had been snowing all night long, there was about 2 feet of snow, we tunnelled under it in the garden, and i built an igloo which i sat in. My mum thought it was really cute and took photos, which i still have to this day.

I never have that much snow around where I live and since I got snow-shovel duty a few years ago, when I got 'old enough', I hope it'll stay this way, or get even better.

Well, that was about 12 or 13 years ago, so what with global warming.... actually what the heck IS global warming, and doesn't it mean that the winters get colder? I'm officially CONFUZZLED!!!!

Everything gets warmer, icecaps melt, there's more water. And the winter is not so cold like it was, cause the sunrays can't be really reflected from the earth again. A good explanation is in Futurama - crimes of the hot

 

 

OK, heads up people ! Since some of you've asked, when the work would start, it's now. Check our team's site for the update and tell me what dlls, you will be working on, so there will be nothing done twice.

No! Winter is colder than ever before, but we're not getting as much snow as we used to! Why????

Hmm, I don't know the temperatures in GB, but I've seen colder winters here. You also have to bear in mind that it's not always the same degree of coldness, there is a cycle, like in a sinus curve, with some colder and some warmer winters/summers/..., just to keep it ballanced and to keep us complaining about the weather

I don't know, maybe i feel the cold more as i get older. But yes, i have heard of that sin curve effect before.
