Well I just told on a PM, but this may be interesting for other "newcomers" :I'm counting posts, until I get to my next rank. Only a mere 199 more, my estimation about April wasn't that wrong, eh guys ? Ps: sorry Chimera, I just thought that after reading about Darth Revan
-
-200 A good and very thorough story, guys. The occasional spelling error, but nothing serious I already suspected, that the name Pazak originated from Kotor, but after reading about Revan ( ) I knew it. Keep up the good work, both writing and creating TCs

That's a big Woo to Hastings ! Was it that bit with 90 Hex for uninhabited and 92 for colonized ?
-
Now that you meantion it, I saw, that the pic used for Han Solo is also not, what they later used for his card. That ship doesn't look like anything I know from the Rebellion era. It reminds me more of the Old Republic ships, during the Sith wars.
-
I somehow still doubt that Killer Barbies, feat. Bela B. - candy
-
To the best of my knowledge none of these models make Rebellion crash, well they never did on my pcs and I haven't heard otherwise, so far. Are you sure, that there aren't two models (even the three level-of-distance models), that use the same texture file (the name is important) ?

Mmmm, forgotten I had, about this page. You know, these would look good as ... Thanks man, I already downloaded a few pics. It's just sad, that they focus mainly on Star Trek. But their 3D tutorials are also good

I actually wrote this line once before. Look up : http://cartoons.sev.com.au/archivepage.php?cartoonid=s222Back then, when the competition for the best punchline was running I was under the top 10 with the 'like my father' line. It's a bummer, that the list with the top 20 punchlines for each comic was lost, when JC had to switch to a new host. Ah, yes I've seen these 'experts' at work. Some of my last professors were that way. With the thumb switch they always activated the next slide and kept talking for another 30mins, before using that thumb again Hmm, they must've translated it differently here. Now where can I rent that dvd from ... ? satisfied from saving yet another head from the rolling pin, Mask went on programming

munching... Pardon me Doc, but need I remind ya, that my avatar is that of a cartoon figure ? So I'm virtually indestructable Die Ärzte - unrockbar

Well, I thought if a new editor would be made, then it should include everything from the old RebEd and all the new features, we've discovered. Like a built-in model importer, battlestations-patch, all the things vakundok found out, ... Although I had an idea on how to make a new card format, being able to read the old ones, would be the best and least troublesome way. The HQs have a fixed position and are always on the same planet, defined by that position, but all the other planets get distributed at random, to the best of my knowledge. I found the colonized flag once, but couldn't change the side with that. Hastings, you changed the coords in the .dat files, right ?
-
Good morning, 1. You can try to edit the name with RebEd's galaxy sizer window. If the name can't be longer than the original, then you'd have to use Resource Hacker on the textstra.dll and edit the entries there manually (don't forget to press the compile script button and saving afterwards) 2. Go to the downloads area, my model importer program does that for ya. Just follow the readme file closely. You'd also better download the new fighters tutorial, cause I explain the necessary numbers for them there and if you rename the .bin files accordingly you can also import them with the model importer. 3.While you're in the downloads area, you can also pick up the battlestations patch. It lets you choose, which ship to imobilize, so no other ship will be affected. The readme file there is also worth reading

Watching your latest posts, I became aware, that you sound a bit more agressive, than you used to. You must be halucinating from not drinking enough Coca Cola, or not playing enough Rebellion.
-
What are your favorite strategy games besides Rebellion?
the_mask replied to igorimp's topic in Outside Interests
Well, either they've had more coffee, or your version of the game doesn't like you. You know, this is getting some kind of a running gag -
Well, afterwards the pressure from the dislocated discs is gone and it feels better. So I don't think it's wrong. Although the therapeutics always tell you, that making these funny exercises will harden your muscles, so the joints won't be dislocated in the first place.

Probably because he saw no other alternative, than the golden path either. Maybe death was this alternative, although that also doesn't sound right, since he was surprised, that Leto took it.
-
So it's about me ? Sssssomebody stop him Yeah, but I got one question, Doc: if you plan to sacrifice all of me, what would there be left to reshape Vanilla Ninja - tough enough
-
Well, then what do you think was the reason for him standing still and waiting to be stabbed ? To end his myth, or religion ? To let his children take over ? I don't know, it feels wrong. But as I said, I never like my favourite characters to be disposed of in books

Drink more Coke, it's good for you... You will always play Rebellion. Zoot be thy master I don't know Scath, I never had the impression of that. How's the head, Socl ? I haven't read this, so I just came to realize the reason for you being gone. I also once had a concussion a few years ago. I was pretty sensitive to light for two weeks and had a major headache all of the time. For some time later I also had difficulties to remember the word "amnesia", ironic, ey ?

Now don't get any funny ideas about unscrewing my head I was in brief contact with Revolution, when I put Rebellion on my page (it had addons for more games at that time), but that was two years ago and he hasn't answered the last mail since. I told him about the new models and he was helpful in providing ideas to decipher the textures, although vakundok found his solution on his own, later. vakundok had too much stuff going on in real life to write a new editor, so he's also out of the equation A month ago I was contacted by a fellow countryman of Revolution, a ambitous computer scientist, who also had real life demanding all of his attention, when we were discussing writing a new RebEd. The values and the dialogues wouldn't be a problem for me, but I have absolutely no idea, how the cards are coded. I thought about the tons of cards, already available and it wouldn't be fair for me to tell you to make them all again from scratch, because I couldn't decipher the format of the cards.

Hmm, the dvd should be available in Germany next month, so I gotta wait at least two weeks, until I can finally see it. I missed it in the cinema. Last Samurai ? Some buddies of mine watched it and thought it was quite good, although they didn't like the end. Maybe I manage to see it, before it's gone from the screen.

Die Ärzte - schneller leben (translation: the doctors - living faster) You mean Tsunami has a Vong limb, Trej ? I got no implants yet, I just sacrificed my polyps and almonds (hope google translated that right, I mean the two things in the back of your throat) to Yun Yummka 13 years ago.
-
Well, it also seems to prefer those with better detection rating, the same goes for the fighters. I think it decides in that order : needed resources -> detection rating, ...
-
Trej, wait till I do a Vong with a human arm, with a spanish accent Sheryl Crow - soak up the sun Just switched to Vonda Shepard - searching my soul Ally McBeal just started

Well, all the time you see him as this super-being, who knows everything in advance. By that time he did so much things, survived so many deadly events and wouldn't see that guy from crowd coming to stab him ? I ask myself, if he wanted it to be that way, also having your favourite character killed is always unsettling The same thing happened later with Leto, although he saw it coming then.

Ok, I think I begin to see a pattern there. The name entries in Textstra.dll are grouped and I copied the shiptype behind the names I knew. Some groups seem to be used for different classes, as you guys already said. Although the shiptypes don't always seem to stay in these groups. For example, I had a Imp escort carrier called "Oceanus" in the group with the Carracks (Gorgon, Griffin, ...) but also in the group below with Nessus and Jaguar.
