  1. I'd like to see how Julia Roberts or Courtney Cox would look as Iceheart and for Mirax ... hmm ... Leah Remini One might wonder who voted for GL and the Gungans in the poll....
  2. Maybe I can send you some stills around the weekend to keep you busy
  3. That message appears, when the modelname is not either close, medium, or far. That is the case, if you only have one model and not three. The single model will be used for all three types, but because of that no texture will be imported. The thing is, if you have only one model for all three views (close, medium, far) and they are all relating to the same single texture, then the game would crash. The model is still imported, nevertheless and the transparency is something I could not overcome yet. The game's engine somehow does that, but I've had this also with some of the original models. The Overlord and the Allegiance have textures and therefore the program will not take that branch, where this message is shown
  4. Yeah, ask .... me What's the Polycount on the models ? No 1 should be the Radiant VII, two possibly the Acclamator and I've never heard of the third one, where does it appear ? You can either try the automatic unwrapping tools in Lith and then move the vertices in a way, that all the areas of the surface are neatly arranged besides one another, or atop, if they're the same. Then you can save that as a graphics file with Lith and paint your textures with a graphics prog. When you're done select all the vertices, import your new texture and apply it to them. Give it a try, it's easier than it looks If you get stuck PM me and I'll see what I can do.
  5. Well in my bookshelf it's exactly in the other corner But that's just subjective preferences. What I enjoyed was, that for all his scheming and "perfect reptilian" control he didn't stand a chance against the Emperor and Vader and only realizes that in the end, when it's too late. Also it fills the gap between Eps 5-6, you finally get to know where they were hunting for the frozen block, formerly known as Han and where Luke's new lightsaber was built.
  6. Yeah, when the evidence about the shrouded past seemed to harden I thought "what, he was with the Sith before ?". I didn't really think of R. cause you see his body in the cutscenes. True to Dune I wouldn't have counted him off, without seeing the "dead" body
  7. I see a few grinning crocodiles (lower half, in the middle), is that good ? Sometime I think I see one of the engines, but the rest eludes me, although I look crosseyed at it and "behind it". You sure it's just not a snowy Tv-screen ? Edit: now there's a comic-like owl-head in the center and my eyeballs hurt
  8. I thought you would be our "very foreign" language expert here Either it says something about the distance, magnifying level, or there are secret messages included ....
  9. Greetings, fellow editor It's good to see, that you haven't given up the trade. Um, would you mind my converting some of the ships in your TC ? Credit for creating the models would of course go to the original author. I haven't read the whole 15 pages in the Relic forums, but I assume you make most of them , right ?
  10. Remember the way he looked, when he fired the torpedoe, or his "concentrated" look, when he wanted to shift his X-Wing to a better parking position ? That's another two expressions without really having to think hard about it. I'd say he has at least 3 times as much facial expressions as David Hasselhof had, wich were about two, IIRC. Trej, what didn't you like about the Al Capone of interstellar crime ?
  11. Being on the light side of the force, I agree, that it's a shame that companies test their products on animals. Like a comedian once said: "I knew that a dog with lipstick looks ludicrous beforehand". The problem is, finding companies that really don't do that. I mean almost every company is somehow an "offspring" of a larger one, which is controlled by another one and so on If you look long enough I'm sure that even a company like Microsoft is involved in animal testing. It's a horror to see these pictures of mistreated animals and to know that this is real and not just the outcome of a sick special effect, but I don't know if we can really do anything about it
  12. only had the wobbly looking tape versions to look at. Now I'm really determined to get the dvds at the weekend
  13. That's right, my Dutch friend I think you can also see that in the first Dune movie with William Hurt and Alec Newman as Muaddib, when Paul is looking at the imperial palace, before attacking it. Been hunting for these dvds for a long time, about 2-3 years for the first one, only to finally find them both in a video rental a few weeks ago
  14. Sorry, nobody can legally do that. But if you look in the forums you'll see, that this question has been asked a few times in the last months and that some of the people here have found legal solutions for it, like auctions or online shops. I know it sucks to have a broken cd, but making cd images of the game available would inevitably lead to our great community being shut down by the authorities and for some people it would mean going to jail So, give it a try and you'll see, that you'll likely find another original, at a reasonable cost. Making a backup of that would not be wrong, however.
  15. The pictures certainly looks good, as I've already told you in private, Cain I've had so far no time to check the difficulty of the AI, but having a good struggle fom the beginning will be a good thing to have for a change. Jahled, about what I've wrote you, would it help, if I'd send you some pictures ? Ps: wasn't the original Dracula called Vlad Tepesh, or something like that ?
  16. Same here, dude, same here But Trej stilled hasn't told us, on what area of the pic the semi-identified flying object should be...
  17. Ah, now I see that avatar of yours Umm, search in the forums for a thread, where I talked about a program called Gmax. I also gave a few basic examples on how to begin modelling there.
  18. Thanks, but for most of them the credit to modelling goes to the people meantioned in the readme files. As for the textures ... ... I'm working on that
  19. Dunno, I got it after xmas and I just loved it The story's great, like all the numerous side-quests. And I didn't mind, that they had another couple of Siths terrorizing the galaxy, about 35 years after Exar Kun's defeat. There were always dark jedi, who could travel to Korriban and learn a thing or two from the ghosts there Ok, some things were a bit 'open to discussion', like when that one guy told Carth, that he'd just seen his boy on Korriban at the local Sith academy. I didn't think that such a smart move in terms of the storyline, but I can't complain about the graphics, or the way the planets were made. Also I had to laugh when I tried out the different outcomings of the discussion with Bastila in the Ebon Hawk's crew cabin. One time it was the other time around and she told my character to shut up and kiss her Also at the end I had to reload about 3 times before she could be turned from the dark side and didn't have to be slain ... women
  20. Hmm, I've never been good with these 3D pics. It's like with that guy in 'Mallrats', I keep staring and staring and ... nothing. So, where exactly is the 'object' ?
  21. First of all Dennis Lawson was in the Yavin briefing. He was actually playing Wedge, saying the 'That's impossible, even for a computer' line. It's just that you mostly see him with his helmet afterwards and therefore he's not easy to recognize in the one or two scenes, where he doesn't wear the thing. Second, there is a big factor that would sadly make such a series all but impossible to be created : the costs. Think about how much special effects there were in the last two movies. There was practically no scene in EP2 without a CG effect. Sure EPIV-VI didn't have quite as many, but remember when Rick McCallum said on the EPII-DVD that the CG effects were much cheaper ? McCallum was actually thinking loud about making other StarWars movies after EPIII, like Shadows of the Empire and they wanted to use CG actors for that as well, but I don't think that's possible at the moment or in the next 3-5 years. I mean a CG Luke would not just have to look like Mark Hamil, but also move the same way, use the same facial expressions, .... Let alone the costs and that I don't think it would look like a real human, it would also take forever to create I don't know, that's my impression of it.
  22. 48 Vs 12 ? You mean there were 11 more pilots What were they doing I mean in XWA I wouldn't go home until I finished the whole complement the ISDs had to offer and then the carrier as well. Such a series might be fun, but as you already pointed out, the actors, like Ewan McGregor's uncle Dennis Lawson are a bit too old right now. The only series you could make would be the NJO, that would fit with their age. Btw, Salvatore gave a good start to the Vong, but I can never forgive him for killing Chewie.
  23. Well, think about it. In EP1 JJB ruined Naboo, in EP2 he ruined the Republic, in EP3 ... I was somehow glad, that he went back to Naboo at the end of EP1, cause the rest of the galaxy seemed a bit safer from our extragalactic Urkel. But I just can't see why everyone really hated him so much.
  24. Are you confused in the way like some others where, that you think, that RebII is our Reloaded TC ? It ain't, btw.
  25. Yeah, Elvis wanted to take part as well, but then his uni life and strange things like water-polo games in the middle of the night took over and he was too busy then.
