  1. Polar Bears are drowning in Antarctica because of being separated by melting ice bergs. The ice is getting thinner at the edges of the Arctic. When the Polar Caps finish melting, the currents will stagnate due to thermodynamics. The currents control the seasons; without them, the seasons won't change. If this keeps up we'll go into another ice age and end up like Hoth (please forgive the SW analogy). I think some countries haven't signed the Kyoto Treaty...
  2. Did Pallaeon side with the New Republic? or did he lead the Remnant?
  3. Noone has a right to anything they didn't make; this goes back to Native American Tribes living in the Americas (buying land from them with gifts). BTW, In Georgia, a Tribe sued the state of Georgia for invading their land. they actually won in court, but Andrew Jackson told the Judge that he could enforce it himself; neglecting his duty as the executive branch to enforce what the judicial branch rules. Naturally, the settling Georgians then pushed the tribe out of the territory (Jackson wasn't the most tolerant of people).
  4. Patrick: "Is Mayonnaise an instrument?" I've memorized several SW themes and can hum them fluently. Does humming count? ???
  5. According to Wookie, SWG is canon... : What's the absolute most recent book? I'm trying to wright an EU book to submit to GL (as ALL EU books are) I thought the latest book was when: (SPOILER below) Jacen kills Tenel Ka and his daughter "in the name of Galactic Peace". (Think Anakin)
  6. Actually, this thread is a good idea; if any one has the urge to SPAM!!!!, then they post here rather than messing up other threads. How many toes does a fish have? How many wings on a cow? I wonder; yep, I wonder... The Black Knight: "It's Just a flesh wound!"
  7. I just was added yesterday; It had five stars a couple of days after I started my account. Odd... Thanks for all the Info, though! ;D
  8. bah! I hate descrepencies between canon sources! >
  9. Ah. That would involve code editing the XMLs for Red Squadron, Death Star, and Factions (Empire AND Rebels) ...if that's not already in FoC's new code... ???
  10. I have a 56k modem; is that adequate? And how many characters can you use? universal profile name: Captain Artenon shortened version: Artenon
  11. Are the animations converted in the download to EaW format? or do I need to convert them via Mike's converter?
  12. Ok, there seems to be a problem here with my PC, then. The fan is running really hard right now, and all that's open is internet explorer. ??? any ideas why this would happen? It's almost like the PC's overreacting... I have a 3.0 gigahertz processor, windows XP, and an NVidia GT 7800 9X Video card with the video card update that came out this september.
  13. I don't have max...
  14. Crix Madine refers to them as Imperial Escort Carriers Madine: “Imperial Escort Carriers!” Wedge: “Imperial what?” Madine: “They’re not part of the regular Imperial Navy…” He says they’re used by storm commandos. How/where do I start a Wookiepedia account? (link?)
  15. I am also having the same problem; none of the models I've downloaded are showing their skins. They don't show up in .ALO viewer, and ingame, they show the petroglyph skin NovaRaptor was talking about. Even the skins of the frigates and corvettes, which don't have squadrons, don't show up.
  16. First, did you model the correllian ships? (can you make models?) If so, then perhaps you might consider adding Naboo units? Units made at Naboo N1 Starfighter NB1 Starbomber Gian Speeder Flash Speeder Gungan trooper squad NSF squad you'd have to control Naboo to make them
  17. Is that what you meant to say, Darth Trogsasea?
  18. I think that the Z'Ceptor makes more sense logically; If a ragtag group can't afford a whole starfighter, then why would they buy that much of an X-wing or Y-wing for the Y-tie ugly, TYE wing, X-TIE? The Z'Ceptor really makes sense because it looks just as though someone walked through Raxus Prime and picked up things just lying around and welded them together. It actuall reminds me of what happens when I have extra legos and decide to make a ship out of them.
  19. Yes; I just realised that. Rebel Strike includes RSII levels as cooperative (2 player) levels. I got a little confused. Unfortunately, those were taken by players with cameras; note the sides of the TV screen seen in the Fondor screeny. a downside to not having a PC version. I was looking over bailknight's mod's XMLs, and found this unit: - <SpaceUnit Name="Escort_Carrier"> The escort carrier is in the fondor screenshot. I have the Rebel strike player's guide, so I'll extract some info from it.
  20. 1.Oh. 2.perhaps the tank droid was based on the CIS artillary unit in SWGB, or vice versa? Because it looks very familiar...
  21. that's odd...I've been a member, what, 1 1/2 weeks? And I've only made 70...71 posts.
  22. Did this start recently? Lucasarts.com's "Yoda's Help Desk", tried consulting it, have you? ? ....... ? _____'' '' '' ''_____ ----( '___' )---- /| \/ |\ ? |(... ...)| ? Take you to him, I will...http://support.lucasarts.com// he he he he he!
  23. Mara's Ship was the Jade's Fire in Timothy Zahn*'s Thrawn trilogy, or should I say quintilogy(five books);D, though she may have a different ship at other points in the SW timeline *It's possible Tyber Zann may in part be a tribute to the EU author Timothy Zahn; just as Cin Drallig was turned into a tribute to the Austrailian who created the lightsabre fighting styles found in all three prequels. (the face looks a lot like him, except that in reality his hairline is...ahem..."receding"**. **Neptune: Do you know what this crown is for? Mindy: umm...it covers your bald spot? Neptune: Thinning!!!
  24. Try the Babelfish Translator. http://babelfish.altavista.com/ just retype into the text box or copy and paste. Talking about SW in other languages reminds me of a couple things: Rebel Strike: It was an interesting experience to hear admiral Ackbar tell me that "Our cruisers can't repel firepower of that magnitude!" in German with French subtitles. Lando Calrissian's Sullustan copilot: That is an actual language spoken in Africa; I found that out in the Episode VI commentary on the DVD release. When the movie first played in that region, people were delightfully suprised to hear a character in a widely popular movie speaking their language undubbed (IOW, he speaks that language no matter where the film was shown; unlike John Wayne movies and the like that are dubbed over by other people later on.)
