  1. Revan and the Exile have to be in for continuity, as they're supposed to "fight the darkness waiting in the shadows." Bao-Dur, T3-M4, and HK-47 are certainties for continuity as well. They are grouped as one conversation option when talking with Traya as she dies. You: "What about Bao-Dur and the droids?" Traya says something like "their paths are uncertain", thus meaning that YOU decide their fate to some degree in KOTOR III.
  2. its a hidden registry file problem. I've tried 1,000s of times, but if I do fix it I'll let you know. If you like I'll send you links to 3 of my maps. And my point was that your Rep. cruiser is incredibly realistic.
  3. From spears, arrows etc. not necessarily rocks. That's why a single blaster shot by Han solo kills a stormtrooper.
  4. They tried to add facial hair and facial shadows. um, could you add a little more hair to the republic trooper? Normally, the helmet extends down to cover the neck, so you don't see any hair; but they are not bald. When I first saw the "it's coming" wallpaper, I thought the Republic Cruiser was copy/pasted from a KOTOR screenshot. Excellent Job!! Nice Video, too! The KOTOR music works in perfectly! What game recording program do you use? I use Fraps trial version; free and high playback quality, but no sound. The full version has more options, though. Bastila's Battle animations were cool too, Wildcat. I liked how it varied and was complex, rather than just the upstrike or downstrike that Vader uses. BTW, let your mappers know about my Underwater map tutorial. Very useful for Manaan (Hrakert Rift specifically). I'd offer to be a mapper for you, but Map editor will not work on my PC anymore. Keep up the good work! This is going to be awesome!!
  5. At Ghostly Substance's request, what I have found is no ordinary spam. I give you... Satirical Spam! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmmONHRI6No !Muy divertimentido! ;D ;D ;D (Very Entertaining!) Oh, and BTW... SPAM
  6. Actually, its in the public useable Units thread by Ghostly Substance. I listed the models and there is a link. I'm saving up for a version of max; not the most recent, but it will do. BOT Does Kyle Katarn have the Raven's Claw and not that stupid Moldy Crow? if not, that is desperately needed.
  7. At Ghostly Substance's request, I give you not spam, but... Satire! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmmONHRI6No !Muy divertimentido! ;D ;D ;D ;D This was locked a while back; can we still post here? I don't want to get banned... :-\
  8. Edit: I added a little bit to my idea that I forgot about. One generic thing I'd like to add: since when do jedi wear makeup? (All the female character models that the main character can choose have heavy eye shadow on, and it looks really weird. :-\ ) I hate to say this, but... Jolee, Juhani, Zaalbar, and Mission are probably dead. In KOTOR if your playing dark side, you kill them. In KOTOR II, regardless of alignment, the Disciple says that he is fascinated by the holocrons of the adventures of Jolee Bindo. You don't read a holocron if the author is still alive because its better to talk to the author. That's why Bastila's mother only wanted Bastila's father's holocron after he died. Therefore, Jolee has most likely died one way or another, despite your decisions in KOTOR. Unfortunate, considering that Jolee, Mission, and Zaalbar provided a lot of comic relief. "Oh, I get it: let's play with the old man's head. 'he's half senile; he'll forget I said anything.' Wait; what were we talking about again?" -Jolee
  9. ...which is why GL hates it. And I quote: 1. "If I had the time and a sledgehammer, I would track down every copy of that show and smash it." 2. "The holiday special does not represent my vision for Star Wars." 3. "(hangs head) Right. That's one of those things that happened, and I just have to live with it." 4. "The special from 1978 really didn't have much to do with us, you know. I can't remember what network it was on, but it was a thing that they did. We kind of let them do it. It was done by... I can't even remember who the group was, but they were variety TV guys. We let them use the characters and stuff and that probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, but you learn from those experiences. I had a wonderful time on Young Indiana Jones. It was a great series. We did it for four years. I spent those four or five years actually working on it. That's really all I did during those years. It was really a great experience and I love television." End Quotes. Personally, the only reason I would watch it would be for reference; such as what the empire was doing at that time, etc.
  10. I was fighting over a certain planet (may have been vergesso). The Empire had 2 SDs and some other ships, and I had my fleet. Anyway, this is the best part: The Empire had decimated my fleet entirely, leaving me with just a lonesome Millenium Falcon. They had a full Health ISD spewing out TIE's. It seemed pretty hopeless, even after I depleted its TIE garrison; It's shield generator was still intact, so I couldn't get its shields down. Not one scratch. So I spent about half an hour playing cat-and-mouse with the ISD, trying to get it to fly through an asteroid field. Finally, It happened. The Falcon was sitting in a corner of the map, surrounded by a protective asteroid belt. The ISD manuevered 2 seconds too late. I really didn't have to do much; I waited for the shield generators to blow on their own in the asteroids, then moved in for the kill. ISDs are no match for the Millenium Falcon without its shields; Muahahahaha!! ;D
  11. You don't "run out" of force. theorectically, you would die if that happened. I know; but are you saying its in? One thing I don't like about FoC is the weird looking projectiles (like the spiraly ones the Avenger fires) And My first impression of the Ewok handler was that it was disturbing, pointless, and made no sense. Endor and Hoth were recently discovered planets. Hoth was discovered by Luke. Endor by the Empire
  12. Oh, Great. Now I want to open the link, but I'm afraid my PC will explode or something. :-\
  13. He's refering to his fanon rogue clones (which are just as cool as canon anyday). A good site for Fanfics: swfanon.wikia.com 1upD and I also have articles. Try searching for "Daniel Joseph Artenon" there. Any luck on Ship/planets?
  14. First off, Star Wars is based on common themes in mythology; GL was actually a student of sorts to Joseph Campbell, who studied mythology and religion and their similarities. So GL doesn't think that way; mythology thinks that way. and secondly, you DON'T think good should win? ??? According to that logic, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. would have failed in their campaigns of Civil Disobedience against unjust practices. In short, good wins plenty of times; you just have to look a little harder for the examples. In a Young Jedi Knights book, Qoryl throws a spear at this stormtrooper with the full force of his mechanical arm's servomotors; and didn't leave a scratch. In the BOE, the Ewoks didn't have to penetrate the armor; in a couple scenes, you see ewoks strangling stormtoopers with ropes (no armor around the neck). And you don’t have to penetrate armor to damage someone’s spine.
  15. Wait; is this a trick question? Was there another figure at all? I think I remember seeing him packaged by himself while sw image googling once. And btw; there are often different packages with different combos of toys that have already been released (for example; back in the 90's, I purchased an action fleet "dogfight package" that contained a TIE Interceptor and the Episode VI Millenium Falcon with Lando Calrissian; the TIE interceptor was also available separately).
  16. The plot should focus on the "great war" Kreia/Traya mentioned in her visions of the future at the end of KOTOR II. Revan and the Exile should be party members at some point in the game. Canonically, Revan will be male and the Exile female. voice for Revan should be the same as in KOTOR (If your character is male, he has a standard male voice for when he attempts tasks like slicing doors and planting mines. Sort of what JA did with Jaden's voice) My idea (some specifics): Text Crawl Intro cutscene start 3 Sith Cruisers approach the planet Arborfrost. 2 of them split formation to secure other areas of the planet. One keeps its course straight ahead, deploying stih fighters and freighters. The fighters begin escorting the freighters to the planet’s surface. (Screen wipe to Jedi Academy on the planet) The camera rotates a few degrees around the academy. Trees resembling enormous white birches with Dark Brown Stripes can be seen in scattered clusters around the academy, and a large forest of the trees can be seen in the distance. The sounds of birds can be heard. Camera fades out. End intro cutscene Load Academy map You start out in a Jedi Academy. You are the 18 year old padawan of a left-handed Jedi weaponmaster/historian by the name of Vandros Artenon. Your quarters contain a workbench, a large window, a bed, and a Large locker (containing some credits, your lightsabre, 2 medpacs your padawan robes, a comlink, and perhaps some miniquest related items). You go through a quick beginner's tutorial. Instructions are given by Vandros via comlink. He tells you to meet him in a training room of the academy once you've learned all the functions of the game. You have a full map of the academy. On the way to meet Vandros, you have some mandatory discussions with other students. These discussions should serve to determine certain outcomes of historical events; there are no "wrong" answers to these questions, it'd be sort of like the Atton discussions from KOTOR II. When you reach the meeting, Vandros (who's in his early forties, with dark brown hair and brown eyes) is waiting for you with his sister, Valdras (a few years older than Vandros, same color hair and eyes), and her apprentice (opposite gender of yourself). The apprentice is the same age as your self give or take a few months. You are to have a practice duel with the apprentice. Halfway through the battle, your opponent manages to knock your sabre (the color of which is determined by your jedi class) out of your hand. You now have two choices: L. forfeit the duel. D. get angry with your opponent and continue attacking, this time turning up the power of the lightsabre from practice mode to full power, which can kill an opponent. If you choose L, you are praised by Vandros for not giving in to your anger. The other apprentice admires your self control. you both receive light side points (up from grey). If you choose D, you wound the other apprentice, and Vandros and Valdras knock the two of you away from each other with force push. Your lightsabre is taken away by Vandros, who is disappointed with your actions. The other apprentice develops a grudge towards you. you both receive dark side points (down from grey). Suddenly, the roof of the large, circular chamber collapses in a fiery explosion. the debris separates you and the apprentice from the others. If you chose L, you have two choices: L1. Help the other padawan escape to the hangar D1. Tell the other padawan to find his/her own way out. If you chose D, you have two choices: L2. Help the wounded padawan escape to the hangar. D2. Tell the wounded padawan to find his/her own way out, leaving him/her to die with his/her injuries. L1 and L2 grant lightside points to both you and the apprentice. D1 and D2 grant Darkside points to both you and the apprentice. You head for the Landing platform to rondevouz with Valdras and Vandros. start cutscene A cutscene plays involving some dark Jedi leading Sith troopers into the academy through the breached wall of the training room. Commanding them is a Dark Jedi, who is conveying orders from his master, the Sith Lord (Perhaps member of the Sith species or a Chistori, Desann's species?) who has orchestrated the Mandolorian Wars and the Jedi Civil War from behind the scenes. He and his apprentice have at last emerged from the shadows. They slaughter every jedi in the academy in search of Valdras and Vandros. end cutscene You find a footlocker containing two training vibroswords, 1 computer spike, 1 security spike, 5 antidotes, and 5 medpacks. There is also a stealth belt (collecting the contents of the footlocker initiates the stealth tutorial). You encounter a computer terminal and a locked door. the appropriate tutorials are available on the terminal. you can either unlock the door via the terminal, or by using security on the door. when you reach the landing pad, you are met by a dark jedi apprentice armed with a standard red lightsabre with a squad of 4 sith troopers armed with various blasters. They are guarding the hangar. The dark Jedi is pleased by the opportunity to fight you, as you are an apprentice; you will be much more of a challenge than the padawans he's already killed (If you chose L1 or L2, the other apprentice will assist you as a party member. If you chose D1 or D2, you will fight them alone, and there will be only two sith troopers accompanying the Dark Jedi). start cutscene Once you defeat the Dark Jedi, a squad of 6 HK-50 droids advance towards you. You are outnumbered, and Vandros and Valdras are nowhere in sight. You have no hope of defeating them. Suddenly, a very familiar freighter swoops down to the landing platform, it's laser turret blasting the squad of droids to scrap metal. The Ebon Hawk lands, dropping its boarding ramp. end cutscene Bao-Dur runs out to you and tells you to get onboard before more sith show up. You say something like "What about the other Jedi?" His response will vary: If you chose D1, Bao Dur wil tell you that your one of the only jedi left, and that they have the other survivor, Valdras' apprentice, whom they found at the secondary landing platform, on board. If you chose D2, he'll also say that she/he's receiving limited medical attention on board. If you chose L1, he will tell you and Valdras' apprentice that you are the only surviving jedi in the temple. If you chose L2, he’ll also notice that Valdras’ apprentice is wounded, and tell him/her that the crew can supply him/her medical attention onboard. Start cutscene The Ebon Hawk lifts off from the landing pad and heads for open space. Smoke billows from the ruins of the jedi academy, and landed sith ships are visible. (cut to The Sith Lord’s apprentice; who is still inside the academy) A Dark Jedi urgently reports to The Sith Lord’s apprentice that a small freighter that was sighted entering the atmosphere during the battle is trying to leave the planet. A 7th HK-50 droid had arrived later than the other six, and had spotted you boarding the craft. After hearing this, the Sith Lord’s apprentice is furious. He force crushes the Dark Jedi, letting the corpse drop to the floor. He immediately orders the orbiting sith fleet to intercept the Ebon Hawk. End cutscene load Ebon Hawk map start cutscene (in space) The Ebon Hawk has just left the atmosphere. A sith Cruiser moves in to intercept the freighter, deploying its first wave of sith fighters. The fighters lock s-foils in attack positions and begin to tail the Ebon Hawk. End cutscene Bao-Dur tells the Exile (who is part of the crew) that they can’t jump to hyperspace because of the sith cruiser. The Exile decides to use the main turret to disable the Sith Cruiser’s scanners so that the Ebon Hawk can make her hyperspace jump. If they don’t, the sith willl be able to track the Ebon Hawk’s hyperspace coordinates to her destination. Load “turret” map Bao-Dur will fly the Ebon Hawk in a pattern around the cruiser. You are the Exile at the gun turret. Your job is to destroy the scanner system (which is located atop the Command Bridge) as well as any fighters that threaten the Ebon Hawk. Once you complete this objective, the Ebon Hawk may enter hyperspace. Start cutscene The scanning center erupts into flame. The contents of the top bridge level are sucked into the vacuum of space. As the Ebon Hawk moves into position to make its hyperspace jump, sith fighters attempt to trail it. Just as the sith fighters are about to close in, the Ebon Hawk’s hyperdrive activates, en route to Ithor. (Cut to the academy ruins landing platform) Vandros and Valdras Artenon board their Republic starfighters and make their escape, leaving the atmosphere undetected. They plot courses for separate planets until they can safely contact the Republic. (end of specific idea) -create your own lightsabres (just like the last game, except that the parts are much easier to find. Each lightsabre you make should have a casing design that is detailed, rather than just a smooth cylinder. Just select a casing, which can be bought, found, or salvaged from defeated jedi or sith) -Travel to planets such as Ithor, Sleheyron, Lok, Coruscant, Telos, Toydaria, Arborfrost and Onderon. -will you and Valdras’ apprentice become friends and save the Republic, or become enemies and drive each other down the path of the dark side? -Destroy the long awaited HK-50 droid factory. -interact with old characters such as Bastila, Carth, Bao-Dur, HK-47, T3-M4, Revan, and the Exile, as well as new characters. -meet new species like Bothans, Feeorians, Verpine, Barabels, Dugs, Gran, Mon Calamari, Chistori, Huk, Kaleesh, Kel Dor, Drall, and Chiss. -Fight the Dark Lord of the Sith who has emerged from the shadows. -Bring the Jedi Civil War to an end. And More! Well, what do you think of my ideas? (feedback greatly appreciated)
  17. He made a MAX model pack before disappearing. Check the public useable models thread on this site; lists the models and has a link.
  18. Correct! I didn't know they made one...I'm guessing around 1995 with either his Noghri bodyguard or Captain Palaeon.
  19. Q: In Episode IV: A New Hope, what was the name of Mark Hamill's stunt-double? A: Its a trick question; he didn't have one. According to "Empire of Dreams", ANH's budget couldn't afford stunt-doubles. The stunt director had to teach the stunts to Hamil. ROTJ, on the other hand, had a larger budget; and therefore could afford stunt-doubles. Q2: In which film does sound effects designer Ben Burtt make an appearance (What part did he play and what were his lines)
  20. True. Yoda only “lost” because his short arms couldn’t grab the railing. Had he not been so discouraged when he fell off the platform, he would have pulled Palpy off the platform (which he too almost fell off) via the force and finished him off. Does Bossk have the Hound's Tooth?
  21. Nope. Keep guessing (let me know if you want to give up)
  22. Who's that next to HK-47 in the pic? If its revan, I would say that his cape should be darker and less shiny. If it isn't, then never mind. Keep up the good work!
  23. OK; In Episode IV: A New Hope, what was the name of Mark Hamill's stunt-double?
