Why! That's charming of you to say so! Here, argue about the Fours...
-
...errr...gosh, we indeed had consumed quite a few of Zoot's finest...i'll remind you exactly what occured, my staggered friend! When we left the pub we of course began singing loudly. Then we stumbled across some road works, at which point you spotted a tractor and before I could yell, 'Wait! Come back! That's a really stupid idea,' you had lept upon it and started shouting loudly about psychotic cats...then you somehow fired up the ignition and drove the bloody thing, sort of in a straight line, across the road works. ...I don't think there was to much damage... Anyway, it was only after I suggested it might be a good idea if you came down, that you staggered over to a traffic light and stood there muttering about how British traffic-lights were realy freaked out that I realized just how much we had actually drunk. At this stage our mobile-phones were ringing, from concerned (and sober) girlfriends, wondering where we were. Despite our bravest attempts to come across sort of sober and level headed; you had completely lost all track of time and started staring at some Japanese guy! When I wrestled your mobile from you and apologized to your girlfriend, stating it was indeed true we had indulged in a few 'ales' the situation wasn't as bad as it sounded. I also apologized to the startled Japanese man on your behalf, made our excuses, and directed you on. We continued singing. Then out of nowhere there was this evil combination of cop-car screeching to a hault beside us, and me realizing you were singing through a traffic cone. It was just before you put it on your head. 'as part of your don't f**k with a Force-user,' mummbling; that you put the cone to lips and uttered the legendry lines of: 'I can't hear you officer!' By this stage I was hiding in a burger joint watching you don the cone over your head and wave a rolled-up newspaper in the cops' direction; but after ten or so minutes of listening to one of your legendry completely useless points of information, I emerged as the officers began edging away scratching their foreheads.... for brother Elvis had indeed responded to my phone call..and agreed to come and rescue us...

[POLL] Your favorite Star Wars games of all time!!!!!
Jahled replied to a topic in Outside Interests
A just voted for Dark Forces. My first Star Wars computer game, and hence the one with the enduring memories of fascination, wonder, and shear thrill of being interactive with the Star Wars universe! Besides that, it is pretty crap by today's standards. -
A long time ago, in a hospital ward far, far away.... THE FORCEPS!
-
Good idea 44! Beware of the Jehovah's Agents... mind you...
-
....Gosh it's Wimbledon once again.... Elvis in the house!

Are they the one's from that Czech web-site? If so they are dreadfull, though you'ld be right in stating they would give a good impression of how an Allegiance might look.
-
WOO YEY! Simply brilliant! Here, have a balloon!

Well, I'm glad people have come to realize and acknowledge the reality and existance behind "The Good Guy(s) Must Win" Syndrome. Thats a typical american syndrome I german more often the good guy(s) is(are) killed at the end of movie "Das Boot" , "Steiner - Das Eiserne Kreuz", Dasboot! One hell of a cool film!

You left out the bit with the traffic-cone, the cop, and the 'I can't hear you officer!' Remark, SOCL. Do you remember when we met the Queen?

I burned it off some Japanese Fashion-House design outfit's data I 'intercepted' when I used to work in an international export office... (like UPS but smaller), and just remembered it was on some of my web-space, it's just reminded me of the entire CD I burned.... what else could be on there I wonder....emmm...

I only knew cause' Mask emailed me, and one of them does seem rather hard to find normally my friend! So because I was alerted to looking for two, I searched the downloads database by new, and woo! The Dauntless Cruiser- The Overlord Super Star Destroyer- Both with glorious textures.....ahhaaaa!

That's right Bill; just like the two new seriously cool ship models in the download section! Is the Overlord SSD the best yet?

Darth Maul loves to skip! ..or a case of budget cuts... ...either way I need another beer....

Ahhh!!!! Lampshade...err....because...err...it just came...err...sorry! Zootcard? Before you go searching...it's not posted because I never can seem to post any cards.... i'm sure someone has the creative talants to make the card given all the gibberish we've all contributed to the Zootwars over the last year or so... Hay, what's this!

The Shadow is all the Malice, Hate, and anger that is subscribed to Sauron and the Dark Side of the Force, Plapatine subscribes to....Gosh, we've come full circle! Emmm...In the histories, Tolkein's son Christopher basically concluded after ten or so volumes that his father never actually intended to offer the genesis and origin of Orcs from corrupted Elves Morgoth, 'Dark Foe of the World,' captured in the first days of the First Age. More creedance (and evidance) is given to them being trained from animal stock (no cuss on animals!). Despite this, your basic point is perhaps correct; both Sauron and his dark master Morgoth sort to desecrate all the beauty of the original song of creation as originally envisioned by Eru and the Ainu. (Long day...Quenya tricky....) Both Suaron and Morgoth did nothing else than corrupt, destroy and hurt the beautiful vision that Eru, God, attempted to bring fourth to Ardar. Bastards... Err...what other planets did Sauron have at his fingertips? The comparison I think is the planet Harad, the planet Shire, the planet Greenwood the Great...errr. Mirkwood....oh and the destroyed planets of Numenor, Scathane pointed out, and the entire system, Beleriand. (Though more the intervention of the Vanyar and the Gods of Aman....) Ask yourselves this....there is no comparison between Sauron or Palpatine! Both, somewhere down the line were seduced by 'the shadow.'
-
...which is where this poll has become quite silly.... the two characters are completely different and can't be compared.... how do you measure evil anyhow?
-
ELVIS YOU FOOL!!! Remember this?concerning ....this?that caused madness such as... this.......that caused SOCL Bin Lampshade to do this? that all resulted in Zoot Kong doing this.....on your head....when you walking to work the other morning? Be rude to SOCL! They used to be such good friends...... what happened was , Fozzy told a joke and Waldorf liked it but Statler thought it was crap

Well done Scathane! Nicely posed questions that didn't do two things; make out desperation or seem to beg for information! You phrased the questions intelligently and respectfully. Cool. I have not heared anything from 'the game developers' that dude, Jason at Lucasarts, said he would forward my correspondence to. Any ideas, any suggestions on how I should re-post my original request should I/we try to approach Lucasarts at a more senior level, stating our non-commercial aims as with our sadness they have not supported the game? Suggestions gentlemen. Scathane and myself both seem to have brakes along these lines with reasonable progress, it's to early to shrug Lucasarts indifferance and turn away mumbling about Lucasarts. We are just a small corner in a very large Star Wars gaming community, it may take time for them to notice us! Bare in mind one thing, the game is now about six years old. That, in corporate terms/thinking is very differant to the game being three or four years old. When JediGreg, or whoever it was, approached Lucasarts, that was THEN; let us be be optomistic about approaching them NOW, and see what response we get. I think I make my point reasonably clearly.... BTW: Scathane, dude, I missed your post asking for questions to put forward, my apologies! Damn!

I can't draw. Period. Can somebody please draw/source a picture of the Allegiance Star Destroyer as featured in the Dark Empire comics! PLEASSSSSEEEE! If somebody does, i'll be very nice to them.

Gosh, What a depressing thread! Well personally i'm not that bothered to much about major changes, as long as we keep getting a steady stream of cool stuff like ship models (which seem to be getting better...) and program hacks and things... If we get anywhere with the source code, that will be cool, but I reckon some folks around here are beginning to get to grips with stuff that's pretty deep in the game engine...that's the impression I get.
