  2. DO NOT MESS WITH ME!!!
  3. Simply impossible. I would respectfully suggest you examine your watch on your wrist, for time management, and yourself for any unexpected changes! Because I think your grasp on the world is loosing the plot!
  4. Cool. Well Scathane's efforts further inspired me to continue seeing where I get with Lucas Arts. I composed this and sent it everywhere I could on the Lucas Arts site: I have been playing Star Wars Supremacy/Rebellion since it's release. It has remained on my hard-drive as a multitude of other gaming titles have come and gone. Thanks to a brilliantly conceived editing-tool, RedEd, I have been able to tweek and alter my Star Wars galaxy, inporting characters from the wider Star Wars mythos, even import new ship models; the game has been rejuvinated! It steadfastly remains my favourite PC game and my favourite Star Wars title. Why? Because it's the only title that enables my imagination to fully imerse itself in the Star Wars galaxy; command fleets of Star Destroyers, send Leia, Luke, and Han on missions, etc, I love it! Whilst I can perceive that to someone who is simply into gaming, and not the desire to bathe in the Star Wars universe, the game could be a less than thrilling gaming experiance; especially when compared to other Lucas Arts titles such as the sublime Jedi Outcast or excellent Galactic Battlegrounds, I am a member of a gaming community devoted to your original product. Without any commercial motives, our community has worked wonders with your title, enabling people to access an 'expanded universe' of gaming possibilities with Star Wars Rebellion. However, there are a few issues that we can't address without the game's original source code. (Addressing such issues as enabling people to play the game without the dreaded natural disarster, amongst other things!) Looking at the game's files, we've unearthed loads of things that obviously didn't make it into the final product; with the source code we would be able to unlock the final elements of the game's magic, for good or worse. It seems pointless just to let the game simply rust away, when so many of us have a very real continued interest in it! So I would respectfully ask for access to the source code on behalf of my fellow http://www.swrebellion.net members, to enable us to unleash further life and possiblities on your completely underated title, and in doing so, further strengthen our continued faith and loyalty to Lucas Arts. Please accept this request with earnest good-will; we are motivated purely by an old-fashioned love of the game! Jahled http://www.swrebellion.net
  5. Share a swimming pool with a polar-bear at your peril!! kind of stupidity... some breakfast I must have... ...English trafic lights meet Lord_la_forge...or Pucho77...

  7. Trej, what the hell does all that gibberish stand for in your signature? No references to Doctor Sardeen's site please....
  8. Help! I've been fiendishly abducted by a sinister squadron of space hoppers! God help me help! Holy chewing-gum frenzy! Someone shoot him!
  9. When? Oh Dismembered one?
  10. Invading and then scrapping is a crap tactic. I dread to think what nonsense goes on in multiplayer games. Call me a sad git, but isn't main reason why we keep playing this game because we get to build massive fleets, name each ship, assign characters commands, etc? What fun can there be if your game consists of your opponent, who has the tempory upper hand, goes around desolating everything? Yawn! I'd quit the game quicker than my cat senses me opening a tin of his food; we enjoy Rebellion because it allows us to be part of something epic! Not some sad conquer and deleate kind of crap! Now i'm curious, who out there has got a genuine game story of a truely long-lasted multiplayer game....kind of thing....
  11. Wooo! Hang on. My man fron the Uk didn't just trash our man from southern California in their game, but has tried to trash him as well; I think that's slightly unfair. If the player-versus-player game conditions are so crap at the begining, and chance, and a few mistakes, are the demise of the empire, or whatever; then choice of not spending an evening having one's arse kicked all over a crap galaxy is fair enough...the starting game conditions in multiplay sound like bull...
  12. Sadly, one of the great jazz greats, Herbie Mann has died aged 73. He was born Herbert Soloman in New York in 1930 and started his career aged fifteen. He was a seriously cool flautist who used a rich variety of styles from around the world to greatly influence entire genres of music, in particular, the jazz-fusion scene. Personally, two recordings spring to mind by him which will stand as monuments in music. The first is 'Herbie Mann at the Village Gate,' recorded live at the Village Gate in New York City. If ever you needed a recording to chill with a summer day, or spend an evening with your girl, that was it. Mellow and beautiful to the extreme. The other recording for me is 'Herbie Mann returns to the Village Gate,' which is also a live recording. This perhaps sums up the influence he had on the fusion and world scene before he actually got under way influencing it. (recorded 1963) Two tracks on side one, the second of which: 'New York is a jungle festival,' is perhaps the most mind-blowing piece of percusion-driven fury your ears are ever likely to spend twentiy minutes listening to. Chief Bey and Ray Mantilla blast away as if trying to obliterate each other, all the time Herbie's flute riding over them like some kite flying above some Biblical conflict. Awesome. Side two sums the genius of the man all up, being African-Arabic inspired music. And the LP was recorded in 1963! Beautiful, haunting, and inspiring. I would urge all of you guys to spend ten or so bucks and buying certainly the latter, it's just been re-issued on CD (when I was a DJ I had two copies on LP it was so precious to me!) The wierdest thing is SOCL sent me an email yesterday saying he had just recieved the five tapes I did for him, one of which was Herbie Mann Returns to the Village Gate. So ask him if you need a second opinion! So farewell then, Herbert Soloman, aka; Herbie Mann, you touched us and shall not be forgotten! RIP
  13. Ok, I think I just figured out what happened after extensive testing on two systems. There's a general on the planet. The Death Star opened fire and was damaged. It opened fire again and was further damaged/destroyed depending on the presance of an admiral. It just goes to show you you mustn't do somethings when you've had a few lagers. If anyone sends me to war, they better just give me the flag to wave.
  14. Oh dear, my apologies! I didn't realize you guys were asking me to reply. Ok, this was a game before I discovered RebEd so there was no editing; it was a completely 'clean,' game. The Death Star was on it's own, turned up at the system and I opened fire at military facilities. The LNR II on the planet Destroyed my Death Star, killing a few characters. I remember that much and also yelling very loudly in abject frustration at my own error, and not having saved the game for ages. I'm going to quickly test this with the game i'm playing at the moment. I'll be right back...
  15. Gosh! Well, I can confirm that a TIE pilot does indeed fall out when his TIE crashes into an asteroid in TESB having slowed the DVD right down to 1/8, covered in fire of course! Dark...
  16. Absolutely not! Multiplayer sounds like crap. Anyway my computer is shagged, it keeps switching itself off...aghaa!!
  17. Having never played a human player, I don't think I ever want to! Not what you two guys at odds about (personally I would have done what you did, and kill the game, I haven't got time to have my but kicked for someone else's enjoyment), but if the game conditions are so crap from the onset. Some Empire with one Star Destroyer! (There were three over Tattooine in ANH right?) Game settings like that at the beginning allowing for swift victories like you guys have been describing sound unrealistic, frustrating, and not that much fun! I'll pass on multiplayer I think!
  18. Good posts! I'm going to speak to Scathe and see if there's a way to open an entirely new forum along the lines of multiplayer games.
  19. Wierd shit! Have you actually tried to play the game to see if they're there anyway? (cheat game to test of course) I've been having a similar problem with the Allegiance Star Destroyer, it's there in the game, but RebEd crashes whenever I attempt to look at the rotating ship image. BTW: Both Viscount and Eclipse appear fine in my RebEd.
  20. This amused me.Nocternal Bulls...
  21. He's my little pair of fangs on the side...

One must refer to: http://www.illuminatedlantern.com/cinema/reviews/returnoffu.html ..and shudder in horror! Emperor Ming of Mongo.... Clickerty here you must, yes! http://www.english.uiuc.edu/maps/poets/g_l/hagedorn/ming/6.jpg What a dark and fiendish FIENDMASTER! Aghaaa!!! Flash, you're doomed!
