I like Romney the best, unfortunately due to McCain's back handed political two-step, he's dropping out I don't like McCain, he's too egotistical, thinking "the world/life/US" owes him the presidency. Unless Romney is the VP selection I'll be voting with the Constitutional Party this year. More of a "no confidence" vote than anything. Maybe I'll "write in" Romney Billiary is way two slimy & slippery for my tastes, and Obama too naive and inexperienced. Huckabee reminds me of the stereotypical self-centered wanna-be: "Me! Me! Me! I'm the President, look at my power. Give me money and respect." Yuck Luckily he doesn't have chance for the presidency, but unfortunately he might get the VP spot for kissing McCain's arse. And another thing about McCain, he's too willing to change his views to try and make people happy (to get their votes). He needs to remember "You can't please all the people, all of the time", but he sure in heck is trying. Idiot

Well, it's been quite awhile since my last update (working extra-extra-OT and other RL events darn near takes all of my time ). It's hard to believe I started this project (and thread) about 10 months ago. Man, time sure does fly when you're old Anyway, there has been progress. I have reconfigured every system within its sector to better approximate the true SW galaxy. Debugging was a b****. My method for re-organizing sectors (though logically planned out) was flawed. Without an accurate "size" for the system and its icons, a lot of systems half fell off the screen Due to typos a couple of systems were scattered somewhere in the galaxy. I even "lost" an entire sector (due to conflicting data between the SECTOR file and SYSTEM file). But all of that has been cleared up. I'm sure I'll make a few more tweaks laters, but placement is a firm 99.9% complete. The last remaining things are planet icons and new descriptions for the encyclopedia; then do the actual changes in the files. So, as time permits ... One other thing; earlier I mentioned I was going to have the rebels start on Hoth. That's changed; things are back to the original config, Yavin is the starting point. Maybe another time I'll switch them around. Right now I just want to get this thing finished and working, before adding any more "features".

That would be exactly the type of game I would want! Hopeless odds and possible defeat! The shear joy of playing hours on end to beat the AI (again). Tough games are hard to come by, and are the most enjoyable

Run Rebellion in "Windows mode" and do a +, then paste into your favorite graphics program. Voila, you're done

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Criminals will get a weapon one way or another for their activities. They can care less about the government or its laws. Handicapping law abiding citizens by take away their "equalizer" isn't the answer. IMO, anyone breaking into a house has given up their rights, and deserve whatever fate befalls them. Have you ever looked at a saved game in a hex editor? I have (small galaxy) and it would take about 600 pages to print out. I would hate to image the huge galaxy. Unfortunately "hex" in not my primary, nor secondary language, therefore interpreting all of the data is very slow and difficult. The source code is the Rosetta Stone to figuring out how to change things the way you want

If you wouldn't mind sharing with all of us whatever you feel is OK, I think we would appreciate it (and you wouldn't have to repeat yourself several times).
