  1. Excellent J! And now, another ...
  2. Uh, Mad ... ... what gives? --------------------------------------- http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/4295/madpicturejg5.jpg --------------------------------------- I hate liver
  3. Not "it", "is"
  4. I hate your Gungan accent Rob Oh, and ... hello and welcome new members
  5. I just heard this on the radio today: new computer monitors that are also speakers (yes, the monitor is the speaker; not separate inbedded speakers in the monitor). http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/2877205.stm If you check the date of the article, it came out back in 2003. Apparently Sony & NEC already offer a couple of monitors like this. The technology is labeled "SoundVU".
  6. What are you saying Rob? Get a giant chunk of asteroid, hollow it out and pack it full of explosives, then hurl it down over California and airburst it over the forest fires? The explosive force would snuff out the fire like the candles on a little kid's birthday cake (although, that might even work on one of my birthday cakes )
  7. Why aren't you happy Mad? Won't they make Switzerland even more "neutral" if given the chance. I heard they want to re-pave all of the roadways in Switzerland to be one long continuous road. That way everybody has to go down the same straight and narrow path, and not be tempted to turn "left" or "right"
  8. You did take into account that the "gaps" might be where starfighters get researched, correct? I haven't installed Reloaded, but even in the "vanilla" game if you looked at capital ships only, there would appear to be "gaps". But if you look at the starfighters, then ... the "gaps" are filled
  9. Oh believe me it's possible Besides if the people who wrote the manual programmed the AI, then this would explain a lot or, even vice versa. @J: It sounds like you had wonderful fun Hearing such wonderful things about the game brings out the hope that I might have such a good game someday. I'm going to have to work on my Galaxy Configuration some more now (it's been getting a bit boring lately ). But, the light at the end of the tunnel has shined again, pushing me on Keep on discovering new and curious events!
  10. Well sort of ... it's not exactly the same, it's been "upgraded" since. It's now called Star Wars: Special Edition.
  11. Interesting find there J
  12. I totally forgot to post this earlier, but Sunday was Carrie Fisher's birthday! Happy Birthday Carrie! better late than never, I always say
  13. Good post Def! It was like receiving a small refreshing shower after a long drought
  14. I like Samuri Jack. He needs to make a comeback!
  15. I think sublight 1 is the default value as RebEd will not let it be 0. I believe this was mentioned in the BattleStations mod. Isn't that the "point" of the DESTINATION selection when constructing the Golan at the shipyard? When it's complete it goes to the DESTINATION and is then stuck there (hyperdrive = 0). Your method allows Golans to escape if confronted by a large enemy fleet, instead of fighting to the death
  16. No, the debate is over and "the condemnation" measure was defeated easily (quite the waste of time, taxpayer money and good international relationship with Turkey, don't you think ). Now, the "cat fight" starts between the (Democrat) Speaker of the House (Nancy Pelosi) and the (Democrat) Senate Majority Leader ("Dingy" Harry Reid) on who is responsible for letting the vote fail; each blames the other ... typical.
  17. Watch the trailer for the new animated 3D Clone Wars
  18. Originally I planned to put this in the those whacky scientists... thread, but it's under lockdown
  19. I think the "evil" post killing word is ... Union. Just be careful
  20. Does anybody remember Sliders ... Parallel universes exist - study
  21. That's Don Adams Mad. But I see the resemblance @Def: I like the trains (was this picture "reversed"? the lettering on the trains is bassackwards); can you say "FUBAR"
  22. The only thing consistent in life is Death and Taxes
  23. Of course not, so why say the Ottoman Empire is the same as the Turkish government of today? Of course not, so why say the Turkish government of today should take responsibility for the Ottoman Empire? Thanks for proving my point SOCL PS The current US Democrat controlled Congress has no morals
  24. So this whole Republican notion of supporting democracies abroad is nonsense, then. Thus, Republicans are flip-flopping. Let's take a look back at US history shall we? Ever since the end of WWII the US gov't (whether Democrat or Republican) has supported dictators for use against the Soviets during the Cold War (with some pressure applied here or there to make them "appear more democratic" to the average US citizen). And I don't see the US gov't changing its course anytime in the near future (Democrat or Republican). Otherwise, that great Democratic philanthropist "Slick" Billy Clinton would have changed all of that since the Cold War was over But, he didn't! As for the Armenian issue: First, I think the whole thing is shear and utter nonsense! (Stupid @ss politicians ); second - you just said the Republicans "tried"; I guess that means it failed then, as opposed to actually passing this time in the Democrat-held Congress! I think the Turks should do exactly the same to the US Congress; What? The US gov't actually sanctioned/authorized slavery (and other deplorable acts) of human beings until the 1860's, and discrimated more so for another 100+ years. What about all the crap done to the Native Americans? The US Congress should be ashamed of themselves! At least the Turks have a completely different gov't now than being the Ottoman Empire. The US Congress can't say the same. I just wonder if they'll now condemn Germany, Japan, Russia and who knows whom else for all of their historic skeletons What's the point?
  25. Arnold has said that while he is The Governator he would not do any movies, other than cameo appearances with him "as the Governor of Kalifornia" (use Austrian accent for italicised words). When he decides to step down, he would definitely fit in for the "older" Conan with other adventures. Have you read any of the stories/books? They are quite good (with some better than others, and a couple of ... slow ones ... here and there. But definitely good overall )
