The fighters were taken out for three reasons - one, they flew directly at the SSD and into the incoming fire of the SSDs broadside, two a lot of the remaining fighters crashed into the SSD in one sweep. And three, what was left of my B-Wings either got shot down (one or two squadrons) or crashed into the SSD on another attack run, fighters in the older versions were real kamakazi junkies. Since version 0.26c, I've only taken on a Vengence SSD - which was taken out by 8 DSDs and 3 Mediators, just to be safe The Picketships didn't destroy the SSD without taking losses or in a short peroid of time. A lot of the smaller vessel (frigates or smaller) circle around their large targets - in this case, the SSD couldn't hit them easily because they kept moving around, and not directly towards it. Still, I probably lost five or more before the SSD was finally destroyed, which in itself was probably 10 - 20 minutes, seemed more like an eternity though!

Nice work Antilliles. The 60 Standard Minutes is becoming a favourite for me - keep up the great work! P.S. Nice avatar!

I was just looking at the shiplist, to see what new vessels to expect in the next release version. Anyway, I noticed that the Empire can/will be able to build several Corellian warships - Corellian Destroyer, Corellian BattleCruiser, Corellian Light Cruiser and Corellian Battleship. Why not make it so the Alliance can build them for faireness, it gives the Alliance another super capital, pair of cruisers and another destroyer helping to level the gap between the sides large warships. If these vessels are able to be contructed early on, ROTJ or earlier, for the Empire perhaps you could allow the Alliance to build it in a later time scope ie. Dark Empire or pre- NJO - after all, story wise, the New Republic would be able to get Corellia to build the warships if need be due to them being the new dominant goverment etc.

An MC-90 can house 6 fighter squadrons, or two Republic sized Wings.

I guess I'll go second. This was one of the first games I played, in version 0.26c. I had set the build limit to normal, and a time limit of ROTJ. As usual, I played as the Alliance - which you'll probably notice as a trend in my games. This is a long read, sorry, so if you want the sumary jump to the bottom(Exuse the chose of writing style, just finished a good novel, and it's rubbed off on me a little ). The game started off relatively easily, allowing me to produce my fleet of Mon Cals and support vessels. After getting only raid style attacks on my refinery ship, I sent off my first attack. My task force was met with little resistance as I attacked the Imperial units crossing through the centre of the map. I used this new foot hold to launch a fighter strike against the Imperial base, only to find it being gaurded by a single ISD plus some small frigates. Seizing the moment, I gathered my forces and made a quick strike at the heart of the enemy. As soon as the last fighter was destroyed, I began mopping up the base. By the time I got to the second last space station, a cruiser shipyard, I realised why my opponent had such a small fleet. Within a blink of an eye, the entire stretch of the sensor screen was filled with the dreaded image of an Executor SSD. Knowing the assortment of MC-80s that I had were no match for the new enemy, I retreated to my base in an attempt to rebuild my forces and use static defences to help. Of course the behemoth followed after me, and soon its tip was at the centre of the battle field. Not long after that, it began bombarding my outer perimetre anti-starfighter defences. Releasing that the ship could easily destroy half my base while engaging my fleet, I moved my force off to meet it in a hope to delay the enivitable. My MC-80s couldn't stand up to the firepower the SSD poured over them, after each salvo of Imperial weapon fire another cruiser fell. Once my main offencive units were destroyed, the SSDs fire moved over to the smaller vessels circling it. Fighters were fairing the best, as few weapons trained on them. Trying to take hold of the fighters advantage, I built up an armada of B-Wings to strike the enemy. By the time they were ready, my last Nebulon-B fell to a hail storm of warheads. Once the B-Wings were in position, I ordered a them to fire their topedos at the massive warship. Assuming that the small, nimble fighters would be able to dodge the fire of turbolasers, I figured if I kept re-enforcing their position with more fighters that the battle would be mine - wrong. As the B-Wings flew straight at the SSD, it opened fire on them, by the time the last torpedo was launched less than half of the fighters remained. On the continuing attack run the remaining units were all but wiped out when the forgot to change flight path AWAY from the multi-kilometre long ship (no debats on the SSDs length ) and ended up becoming kamikaze pilots. The battle seemed hopeless, and defeat inevitable. That was until I noticed that the only units remaining, the only units that weren't being demolished by the SSD were 4 Corellian Picketships. The small vessels were very hard to hit, especially while spread over the length of the SSD as they circled it. With that, all resources went into producing picketships and the occational gunship or heavy corvette. As each vessel was constructed, they were sent off to battle - jumping them there was no longer needed as the SSD was at the door step of my base, ripping apart my static defences and firing on shipyard from long range. After a pain stackingly long time, the armada of smallest support craft evential destroyed the largest of warships. My base, too, had been literally halved and I was only left with a Fight Factory and Destroyer yard. Taking the initiative, I repaired what was left of my support ships and built up a pair of MC-80s which returned to the already crippled Imperial base to finish it off without any more loss of life. In short: Rebel fleet attacks Imp base. SSD is built and destroys Rebel fleet. SDD goes to rebel base and gets destroyed by picketships. Rebels regroup and destroy Imperial base. The End

By now, most who have played this wonderful mod for Homeworld 2 have battled many foes, both artificial and real. Here's your chance to spread tails of your spoils of war, or your terrible defeats in the galactic civil war between the Empire and the Alliance.

It's the same model, just a different angle. The Battle Dragon is a disk shap, so from behind it looks shorter - it's really exactly the same length

Actually, the MC-90s where the New Republic's "big kahunas" only for a few years, with the possible exception of the New Republic Star Destroyer (refitted ISDs), until the Black Fleet Crisis peroid. The New Republic, lthen, built other warships like Republic class Star Destroyers, Majestic class Heavy Cruisers and Defender class Star Destroyers (the really big kahunas until the Viscount). Just before NJO, there was also the Bothan Assault Cruiser and Mediator class Battle Cruiser - which was Mon Cals next cruiser design after the MC-90. All of these were more powerful than the MC-90. As for the MC-90 vs. ISD mk I - yeah, I've changed my vote. The advantage of speed and maneuverability vs. a little more firepower, makes the MC-90 an obvious victor - assuming the ship's CO isable to exploit these abilities.

Nah, the Mon Remona was an MC-80b - basically a military production version of the MC-80, it was Mon Calamari's first warship. The MC-90 was Mon Cals next creation. It was armed with 75 turbolasers (of which, each turbolaser produces only %80 of the power and ISD turbolaser produces), 30 ion cannons (of equal damage), 6 proton torpedo launchers and 8 tractor beam projectors. It could hold 6 fighter squadrons, 1,700 troops and 30,000 tons of cargo. It's sheilding and armor matched that of an ISD. It was faster than an ISD, and 3 times more manouvrable. Over all, an ISD mk I can deal out more damage while the MC-90 has speed and agility - it's actually a pretty good match. Going back over the stats has me thinking again, an ISD is only %12 more powerful over all, has the wedge shape and that's it. The MC-90 is less powerful, has torp launchers, is faster and more manouvrable. Hmm, now I'm can't decide

Ok, now lets spice up the argument. An ISD Mk I vs. MC-90 My money is still on the ISD - though not before getting a pounding from the MC-90.

Congrats on hitting 2000 Darky! ADarkJedi44, the Dark Spammer - has a good, oh I mean evil, ring to it

I guess there are only two options, like Jahled said, search the internet until you find a pic or make it yourself through photoshop or some other grpahical program (I used 3D Studion max for mine) There are, however, limits to the avatar which are shown in the profile area:

I've been making a bit of a list of some bugs and other things I've seen while playing Warlords as of late. I figure it's easier to look at a list of problems rather than posting everytime I see one little thing, so it's a pretty big list. Here it is (I've tried not to double up on any bugs already mentioned for version 0.29): System Patrol Craft doesn't appear to have any real or proper texture; The Lamda Shuttle's top wing isn't connected to the hull; Heavy Corvette's lower turrets aren't on the hull properly; Can't dock with the XQ-1 Space Station; The explosions/fire on a XQ-1 move away from the station; If a group of fighter squadrons are ordered to dock with a Golan III, only one squadron will - the others must be ordred again, individually; When docking, fighters fly backwards; The Alliance Carrier's hangar light efects the top of the ship; Flickering Textures (mainly on LOD models, zoomed out far) for: Corellian Patrol Craft, all MCs (including the Mediator) except MC-40, Harrow SD; Model problems (such as areas where the model has dark patches): A-Wing (Dark zones), Defender SD (Dark zones on LOD model), Mediator (LOD model's nose has a section jutting out), Harrow SD (Dark zone on High detail model), Corellian Light Frigate (weird LOD model), Grav Well (Dark zones on LOD model), Repiar droid (dark zones on the tanks on its back), MC-90 (textures and lighting makes it seem less "real" than other ships, kinda superficial though); Fighters tend to crash into these objects more than usual: Executor SSD, Vengence SSD, Cruiser Shipyard and Refinery ship; Can't build: Enforcer Light Cruiser and Escort Carrier That what I've got so far - I'm yet to really try the Empire out or try to figure out what causes the game to crash - though it might be worth noting that the game will hang for about a second before crashing.

I've re-checked both the stats that I have as well as doing a search for more. All web sites, except one, aggreed that the MC80 has 48 turbolasers and 20 ion cannons while Home One has 29 turbolasers and 36 ion cannons. This includes the infamous Star Wars Technical Commentaries! ! I agree that one would assume that a larger vessel, that serves as the command ship of the Rebellion Navy would have been better equiped - though it appears the Home One was more a heavily armored carrier (able to hold around 10 fighter squadrons) and was also spacious for - this is part is only an assumption - troops and breifing/ command areas. After all, it would suit Ackbar best if the ship was suited for the 'cammand' of a large scale battle. Any way, official stats (Including the official Star Wars Fact File) definitely say that an MC-80 has 48 turbolasers etc. and Home One has 29 turbolasers etc.

Hehe, Unagi353 you don't have to tell me how good KMFDM is As KMFDM toured the US and Europe recently (just found out today ), did you get to see them? Roots - Sepultura & Pavarotti EDIT: And in case you were wondering . . . KMFDM Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid Translated to English means: No Pity For The Majority or No Remorse For The Masses Not knowing German - I can only assume that this is right

I can also do very High Detail models And hopefully, soon I'll try low detail models

What are people's 5 ESSENTIAL wants for Reb2?
Krytos replied to Chimera's topic in Rebellion 2 Ideas
I'm not sure about a totally customisable ship - though I'd defintely wan't modular (been thinking about it for a while). And for all ships, with different ships having a varying degree of modularity, such as a Neb-b beeing very modular and an ISD being the opposite. Modular compartment wouldn't just be weapons as well, rather equipment etc. I'll post what I've thought of in a few days - hopefully (damn uni!) YES!!!!! That would be great! Perhaps also veterancy/experience for all units that increases during battles and battle exercises/training? ? -
Witch Hunt - MDFMK Most of my KMFDM tracks are MP3s - I've only got one of their CDs, Symbols, and I havn't seen any others around Almost like trying to find a Bill Hicks CD!

Missed it too Sorry to hear that ElvisMiggell. Good luck for what ever path you choose in this journey called life and know that you have many friends that you can turn too for help. And while this is the end of one stage of your voyage, think of it as a beginning of another - and as they say in The Life of Brian "Always look on the bright side of life"
