  1. Great shot stormfury_2! Looks awesome! P.S. It's a Eidolon Strike Cruiser
  2. IC: Karn almost lost his footing as the CC-5500 banked as hard as it could to avoid an incoming topredo run. One of the three bomber squadrons that had laucnhed was attacking his ship, whilst the rest attempted to engage the Republic's Envoy. Fortunately they were being held at bay by a squadron of X-Wings and a lone YT-2000. The Reckless Wonderer's port side batteries unleashed a mass wave of fire across the Bombers path cutting a pair of TIEs in half. The frigate then continued its role from earlier to bring it's undamaged side to bear the next wave of Bombers. "We're not gonig to last much longer of this. Our shields are at 23% and dropping." "I noticed, Captain. But we can't run without leaving the Republic's Envoy to fend for themselves. We need a plan - something that'll catch the Imps of gaurd and give us the upper hand." Karn began thinking hard - what could they do. They were being overwhelmed by fighters, his frigate couldn't take much more hits before the shields were gone and the Imperial fleet was just waiting for them. The Republic forces were now only a minute out from firing range - but would they last that long? But why did the ISD hold back - it could have attempted a chase and some long range shots - all it would need is a few good shots to help turn the tide. Unless . . . unless the diplomats weren't the real target? The Imperial force here is to small to be a real threat to the Republic, and now the Republic's fleet has split, with several ships dealing with the Strike cruiser and gaurding the planet while the rest come to attack these Imperials. To make matters worse, the Imperials were screwing with their sensors so the Republic gunners couldn't choose their targets easily . . . "Ok, lets add this up," Karn said turning to Captain Kre'nel. "The Imperials have weakened our fleet by splitting it, they've created a two front battle and they're screwing with our targeting computers. If they wanted they could send twice as many fighters and destroy us in a few minutes - we're not the target, the fleet is. There must be a second Imperial fleet waiting somewhere ready to pounce." Kre'nel paused and took several long seconds to ponder Karn'ssuggestion. Raising her head, she replied in her usual flat tone. "That would explain also why the ISD didn't even attempt attacking us. So, now what." "Well, we cover the diplomat still and get as far away as we can from what's about to happen. Oh, and we should also tell the Republic General incharge what's really going on." *** "Are you certain?" "I'd say so General - it all points to why the Imperials are still holding position and not throwing everything they have at the diplomat's ship." "Hmm, we'll need ot holt the fleet and regroup - will you and the diplomats be alright?" "Yeah, now that we aren't fighting to get to you we can pull off some better manouvres and feel less presured by the Imperial fleet. I'd also suggest recalling the fighters in the area once those TIE Bombers are all gone." "Very well. Good luck Major Karn, and may the force be with you." The hologram cut off and Karn turned to Kre'nel, who nodded and began ordering the ship's crew to begin new manouvres. OOC: What's the name of the New Republic's General incharge of the fleet?
  3. Well, after my last game (as those dreaded Imperial dogs - sorry Lina ) and the new update patch for Warlords I made time in my bussy schedual to play some Warlords! So here's my latest escapade: I'm the Alliance (as it should be), no tech limits, normal number of units, two enemeis (1 Imp, 1 Alliance). The main reason I was playing was to find the differences in the game, and to try out the new Bulwark. After building a few CC-9600s, Balalus, Sacheen etc. I started on a Bulwark. Well, I ran out of money before it was half built - so I decided to attack the Imperial base anyway. It was great timing as almost all the Imperial fleet had just left to attack the Alliance team - leaving it ripe for the picking! Well, there wasn't much competition at the start, though the Imperial forces eventually returned and produced a Harrow while I was fighting them - which made me retreat for obvious reasons. Well, at least I tried to - the other Alliance team had a CC-7700 headed for the Imps and pulled me out of hyperspace before I was far enough away, which left me to simply run away with a brand new Allegance on my heels. Anyway, by the time my forces got back home my Bulwark and Republic SD were ready and a DSD under construction - so I went back. The battle went well, as I had a nice sandwitch effect going. Me on one side, the Alliance on the other and the Imps in the middle - their Allegance was destroyed in a volley of torps from my 14 E-Wings. Their ISD mk II was cut up by my RSD, Bulwark and an Alliance DSD. Eventaully I started battling the Imps homegaurds and the Alliance trying to get to them through me. The Imps were crushed rather easily - though I lost all my fighters and most support units - so I moved on to the Alliance. They were equally as easy due to two reasons, 1) most of their forces had been attacking me already and had been destroyed and 2) a pair of DSDs joined my fleet Well, the new update makes the game even better Keep up the work Eville

  5. "Well," Karn said putting the Stormtrooper helmet on the ground, "Afton - your droid has found a way out. But, you guys aren't going to like it . . ." A few minutes later, Karn was ripping off a grate leading to a sewerage system that travelled the length of Bespin - it would allow them to get to the other side of the city if need be, and if they could stand it. Karn turned to see the faces of his colleges. All had the same grim expression. Sib spoke up first, "You're kidding right?" "Told you you wouldn't like it, " Karn replied. Before he could laugh, a sizzling red blast ripped into his right sholder, knocking Karn to the ground. A squad of Stormtroopers was heading down the corridor they had just taken, blasters raised and some firing. Karn had the wind knocked from him thanks to the bolt, though he would only have a minor injurry thanks, ironically, to the Stormtrooper armour he was wearing. The Imperials must have watched them with survalance cameras - and Karn had left the helmet behind. Even with her injurred leg, Sib took the initiative. "Time to go guys!" Soon she was diving through the hole and into the sewers. Ulric followed straight after, though Afton seemed content on covering their escape. She had a blaster raised in the air, and was firing wildly - already the lead trooper lay on the ground with serious injurries. "Go on Karn!" She yelled. Karn half lifted himself up on his left arm, and quickly pushed himself down the tube. He slid down the pipe head first, and for a few seconds couldn't see anything except darkness - until he landed into what he hoped was water. Quickly moving out of the way, Karn let out a cry of pain as he used his right arm to hoist himself. Before Karn was completely out of the way, Afton came crashing down ontop of him. This time, Karn used his left arm to push himself up. Without a word, the group moved away from the entrance and into the darkness.
  6. Rantar hit the ground hard as he dodged the blaster fire. Rolling onto his feet, he quickly lept forward and took cover around a doorway. Rantar was in a small building on the outskirts of Vathonir's major city. He was there because he had coached the thug that taking him to be killed into telling him where he could find who ever was incharge. Instead he had sent him to what appeared to be a base of operations for the group beseiging his planet. When Rantar had entered, things went smoothly, he had found the location of the "Organisation"'s, as they were calling themselves, second in command. As he attempted to leave, he ran into security. A green blaster bolt ripped through the wall half a metre away from him. "Anti-armour weapons! Sith spit!" Rantar leapt down the coridor as a second blast turned the rest of the wall into rubble. He was up again, running down the corridor as more bolts screemed over head. Rantar skidded to a holt and swung behind a metal container. Pulling out his blaster, he leveleld it down the hall and let loose several shots. None hit the enemy, as they moved for cover themselves. Rantar stopped firing and waited for the first one to pop his head out, it came quicker than he had expected. The large reptilian creature, looking like a Trandotian, fired his anti-armour blaster once before Rantar sent him flying back to the ground. The large green energy bolt raced past him and hit the door leading outside the builing. The door itself ceased to exist, leaving freedom a mere two metres away from Rantar. "Thanks morons!" He yelled as he literally dived out of the building. Quickly picking himself up, Rantar ran to the nearest cover. Dropping into the shadows, he looked over his shoulder as mercs and other scum spread out of the building as if it were a hive under attack. Slowly, Rantar moved away from the builind - keeping to the shadows. He knew were to go now. Now, he would get some answers.
  7. Tne Reckless Wonderer shuddered as a TIE Interceptor crashed into its shields. Karn ignored the impact and focused on his sensor screen. It would still be a while before any Republic capitals could assist them, and now an ISD had entered the fray. The rest of the Imperial fleet began positioning themselves for impending fight against other capitals. To make matters worse, more TIEs were heading towards the battle, and the ISD began to position itself. "Interesting, the Star Destroyer isn't chasing or firing on us. It looks like we were able to manouvre out of their way just in time," Captain Kre'nel said in her usual flat tone. "Yeah, though we've got half a wing of incoming bombers - and there's only a squadron headed for us. We need more cover or the only way the diplomats are going to see the planet is if they burn up in its atmosphere." Karn continued to watch the battle unfold. "Move the frigate into the middle of the battle and get the attention of those Imperial fighters. Order the Republic fightes to intercept those bombers." Soon, all of the 200 metre long frigate's weapons were blazing away at the swarm of TIEs. Only a single squadron of X-Wings were able to break off their current engagment and head off to engage the bombers. "Blast, we need re-enforcements!"

  9. Found this on the TCUSWE: Dyas was one of my favourite twists in Episode II. Why would a Jedi order a clone army? Better yet, how could he if he were dead? Hopefully we get a nice answer to this rather than something simple or out of place.
  10. Karn watched as the mixture of escort units for the diplomats peeled away and accelerated towards the Imperial forces orbitting the planet. Scanners shwoed that currently the only ship still escorting the diplomats was his own frigate. Karn crossed his arms and thought hard. A signle Strike cruiser attempting to hold off the Republic's fleet? Who ever is in charge is eithe crazy or . . . . The idea entered Karn's mind so fast he almost forgot to react to it. "Sensors, scan maximum range and keep an eye out for any hyperspace signitures - no matter how far away they are. Comm, I wont to speak to . . ." Karn's order was cut off as the officer at the sensor post yelled over him. "Sir inbound ships! Multiple targets, at least 5, including a large vessel." Karn sprinited across the small bridge to the senor station as the hyperspace signal grew. Within a few seconds live contacts were dotting the sensor screen with Imperial contacts. Karn's heart missed a beat, and his stomach rose to his throat. Bearing down on the diplomat's vessel was an Imperial fleet headed by an ISD. Right now they were the only thing standing in the Imperial's way, and they wouldn't last long against that kind of firepower. "Send out a distress signal to the fleet now! We need assistance ASAP." The diplomat's vessel was already breaking off towards the Republic fleet, though the Imperials were launching fighters to slow it down. Fighteres, now my frigate can take on fighters with ease. "Captain, get us infront of the Republic's Envoy and have weapons only target fighters. With any luck we can punch a hole through them and get away from the Imperial fleet before it gets within firing range." With a lurch, the CC-5500's engines propelled it towards the Republic's Envoy II . Keeping an eye on the ship's sensors, Karn could see the Republic fleet breaking into two armada's to battle the two Imperial forces.
  11. Nice story GAT - I'm now in the mood for a nice long Rebellion game Though I have one question: How did you get screenshots? Everytime I've tried to take images, they come out black with a few colours floating in it - really annoying!
  12. True, though I've seen the same actor in other movies, such as "Jingle all the Way", and in my opinion he's a far better actor in that movie than in Episode I. Also, he wasn't the only actor that had to be picked for the role, there were others auditioning for the role and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they would have been a better Anakin. Nevertheless, I still stand at Episdoe I and II were good movies, though they could have been better.
  13. OOC: Been busy lately with Uni, so this post is short and also to bump it up IC: Kanr reached the cell again. Checknig to see that there were no gaurds near by, he crossed the corridor to the cell door and entered the room. As soon as Karn had entered the room, he could see that the group had been busy. Ulric had several bandages on now to cover his wounds, Afton was in deep thought and Sib was tending to Ulric. He also noticed an unfamilur blaster at Ulric's side - undoubtably, someone had gone to retrieve his blaster for him. "Ok, what have you been up to while I've been gone - it was only twenty minutes!" Karn waited for a responce . . .
  14. "Ah, another factor to fighting the good fight: morale." Karn continued, keeping a worried eye on Ulric. "After Endor, the Empire's self imposed image of being invincible fell apart like the super structure of the Executor as it collided with the Death Star II. With the obvious fact proven that the Rebellion could dish out a lot of hurt to the mightiest the Empire had, they lost a lot of the will to fight. That's probably a main reason why they fled after the Death Star blew up - I mean, they had enough of a force to destroy the Rebel fleet still and yet they didn't. "After that, the Imperials fell in battle mroe and more, and so did their moral making it easier to beat them. It's only as of late that the newer Imperial factions like the Remnant that have been able to reinstill the Imperial pride back into their personal. Personall,y I'd prefer it if they all surended and the war was over tomorrow so I could retire to fending off just pirates."
  15. The new Jedi fighter looks more of a lot more Imperial, good to see the change. Grevious doesn't look tough enough - for someone so powerful and deadly, he looks harmless. I like the look of Anakin though, very dark - obviously heading towards the dark side.
  16. Personally, I think the original trio are the best. Nevertheless, the Episode 1 and 2 both were alright, though some things put them down: Jar Jar, bad acting (Anakins!), and stupid scenes like the dinner in Episode II with that stupid droid. Other than that, I think they're enjoyable.
  17. "Ok, mate." Karn said as Ulric walked off, there was something wrong with Ulric. And if Ulric wanted help, or someone to talk to - Karn knew that he would do so of his own accord. Turning back to T'Char and Tython, Karn continued his prior conversation. "Well, B-Wings are great as an Assualt fighter - though their lack of speed makes them easy prey for a nimble craft. Though, as you and Tython pointed out, it's also dependant on the pilot. A cunning pilot can easily best a superiour fighter piloted by an inferiour pilot. That's half the reason that the Rebellion has gone as good as it has, in my opinion at least. We've got pilots who are not only highly skilled, though also adament about their cause - a winning combination. "Now, capital ship battles are a little different. There, your depending on not just the cammanding officer, though also the rest of the crew. A good captain can be undermined by an enept crew, worse yet an enept captain with a good crew. With a bad captain, the skills of the crew can never be pushed or used to their advantage. Even the strength and firepower of an ISD can fall claim to a bad crew. For example, my frigate use to have a terrible gunner in one of the laser turret to the aft of that ship, and it was no surprise that after a while pirates were taking advantagfe of that by attacking that spot the most. So, I replaced him with a better gunner and put him in a spot with plenty of support until his skills with a laser cannon . . . well, that's by the by."
  18. Karn took the little droid in his had. Without hesitation, Karn exited the room holding the droid behind him and out of site. He was heading off to find a computer terminal so the droid could find out a way to escape. It took several good minutes to find a terminal - and it was right outside an Imperial service desk. Oh great, how m I going to pull this off? Karn slowly mooved up to the desk and placed the droid down near the terminal. Without so much of a hint of what to do, the little machine was plugging into the terminal and searching for their way out. The two officers at the desk ignored Karn as the went through records and other files on a series of data pads - from what he could see, they were investigating Bespin cities records - I wonder what Lando was upto? It was time to act, otherwise they might get suspicious of Karn. Clearing his throat, Karn spoke up over the comm system in the Storm trooepr's helmet. "Excuse me sirs, I was told to inform you that a Stormtrooepr patrol stumbled on a hidden cache of datapads that appear to have records of one Lando Cal . . Calrissian's purchases." The two officers stopped as soon as Karn purposely struggled with Lando's name, looked like he was right about what they were looking for. "Well, were were they found?" One of the officers asked hastily. "Sector 4, subsection 21, sirs." "What, that's over the other side of the ship and in a maintanance area!" The second officer yelled. Karn began too sweat - had he just screwed up his lie? Did they now realise that he wasn't a trooper? His mind was quickly put to rest as the first officer spoke again, "Of course. Calrissian would have hid those files, no wonder they were hidden in a maintanance area. Good work trooper." Both quickly headed off towards Sector 4 - or at least he thought it was sector 4, Karn actually had no idea where or even if there was a sector 4. A small object bumped into his leg, and he could see that Afton's droid had finished its job. Picking it up, Karn began heading bak towards the cell as fast as he could without being suspicious.
  19. Sorry for not posting earlier (been busy with Uni and Doom III ) Well, my trial as an Imperial has ended with victory going to me - though not without some scares. The game involved little strategy - I was trying to get into the Imperial swing of things, big fleets and that's it Unfortunately it prooved more difficult than originally anticipated due to price increases, and after the first Titan rolled - or should I say flew - out of the production yard I was bunkrupt. Not that it mattered, the Rebel force nearest to me could only muster a Mon Remonda and the Imperials barely had anything built. I continued by trying something new out - mine fields! Well, apart from the two fields putting even more load on my computer they didn't do a thing because during the entire game I couldn't get an enemy ship to fly through it (so anyone who has used mines effectively, post a reply - are they any good?). Well to cut a long, build up story short - the Imperial team built a Vengence and destroyed the Rebels. They waited poised to attack my base - though appeared affraid of the mine field. Eventually my force of 1 Titan, 1 Tyrant, 1 Alleginace, 2 ISD mk IIs and a Dominator, plus the usual assortment of support vessels, attacked the Vengence and destroyed it with only loosing two Bayonets, an Enforcer and a Lancer. I then completed the construction of and ISD mk III and moved in to destroy the Imperial base. Over all, it wasn't too exciting - mainly a lot of guns. So, it looks like I'm back to using the good 'ol New Republic to battle the tyranical reign of the Remant Empire.
  20. "What, already Ulric! We've bearly talked!" Karn said anxiously - he'd barely said a word to his old friend all this time. "Come on, what have you been up to lately? What infamous adventures for the Rebellion have you gotten yourself into in the past . . . umm, well however long it's been since we last met!"
  21. Rantar sat camly at the table, with the blaster restingly heavily against his temple. Rantar gave a very audable yawn as he and his captor waited for who ever was coming for him. He'd kept a careful eye on where the were for a later reference - if . . . no, when he made it out of this he'd be coming back here. His yawn caught the attention of a few near by aliens - all saw the gun visably pushed against his head. None cared either, Good. Hopefully they wont care if I kill anyone either. Out of the shadows emerged a very large and mascular alien - of a species he couldn't identify. The creatures skin was red, and it looked more like a monster from some hidden world or hell. It walked up to the table and took a seat - staring straight at his captor. In a incredibly deep voice, that made Rantar's headache worse, it spoke. "The boss says good work mercanery. Here's your pay." It's large red hand slid across a pile of credits, to his surprise his captor didn't look at all happy with the amount. The creature continued. "The boss says to come back here tomorrow to recieve the rest - he would like to make sure that the human makes it to him." It was obvious that they didn't trust the merc. She nodded while glarring at him - a silent threat. Slowly she walked off with her credits and left the building. Turning to the creature, Rantar spoke first, "Well, I thought she'd never leave us alone - how about y..." He was cut short as the hulking creature reached across the table and grabbed him. It then proceeded to lift Rantar into the air and take him out a back door. They were out side now, the night was dark and there were no lights in the alley behind the bar. The creature firmly held the link between Rantar's binders as it lifted him along. A quick grin crept onto Rantar's face as his escape commenced. Pulling free one hand from the sabataged binder, Rantar removed the vibroblade and in a sweeping motion cut the wrist of the creatures hand. It tosted its head back screaming and dropping Rantar, and as expected no-one came to see what happened. Rolling onto his feet, Rantar turned around and kicked the eight foot tall creature between its legs - dropping it to the ground. Quickly moving, he punched it in the throat and moved behind it before it could even grasp at it's collapsed wind pipe. Once behind him, Rantar quickly cupped his hands and clapped the creatures ears causing them to burst. It fell to the ground in agony. Nodding at the effective incapacitation he'd just performed, Rantar put his knee on the creatures spin and rested the vibroblade on the creatures throught. "Now, lets talk . . . " EDIT: OOC: Is that dramiatic enough
  22. "Well, Bespin is sort of like a very large building - in the sense that there are floors above and bellow us. So, the way I see it is that we can try and find some access shafts or some way of going up or going down and out of this Imperial base" Karn said while stroking his five o'clock shadow. Karn turned to face Afton. "So, you and your little droid have prooved exceedingly well at this sort of thing - care to do it again?"
  23. OOC: I had planned on jumping into this after it had started, though seeing as no-one has gotten into this RPG (which sounds really good by the way ), I'll jump into the fray. As it's Rebel/New Republic, I'll be using my Character named Karn Macen (details here). IC: The Reckless Wonderer slowed down as it followed the diplomats ship. Karn's vessel hardly ever ran escort these days, infact he hardly ever did anything these days - so when New Republic High Command offered him a high paying job to escort diplomats, with the support of a Republic fleet, he pounced on the offer. It felt good to be behind the reins of his ship again, being in control of his crew and seeing all his old friends again in the same ship he had met them. His thoughts stopped drifting as a tan female Bothan walked in front of him. "Major, we're still in escort position of the Republic's Envoy II - though we've halted movement here until fleet makes sure there are no Imperials waiting for the us at the planet." "Very well Captain Kre'nel," Kanr replied. After a short pause, he continued, though quieter. "Ahh, Biree - make sure we have all units at their post, I've got a bad feeling about this." "Sir, you've always got a bad feeling when we're on a job." "And all of our jobs have something that goes wrong when I have my bad feelings." Biree smiled and began to walk off, "Yes sir, you are very bad luck." Karn grinned as she left. They had been friends for a long time now, and they were use to insulting each other. Walking over to the front of the bridge, Karn stared out of the view port and waired for what ever came next . . .
  24. OOC: Welcome to the conversation Phytho "Ah, looks like we've got a debat on our hands, " Karn said as a smile arced across his face. "Well, I wouldn't jump the gun there. I agree fuly that the LAF-250 was hardly a desired fighter in any respects. It's poor performance was hardly out weighed by it's cheap cost. Though the newer H/LAF-500 is a different story! Fast, agile and with a bit of fire power to back it up. It's not real match for the heavy duty military fighters of the Empire or even some Rebel fighters. Though I'd take one over a T-65 or TIE Fighter any day."
  25. Yoda Stories - I always wanted that game, though I've never seen it in Australia I really liked the demo, I thought it was a great desktop game - well, the demo at least. No, it doesn't seem to be on the website anymore, although you can still get an update patch for it through support.
