Congrats Mitth . . . .yup, that's it [/spam] Oh, and remember - it's not the size of your post count, it's the way you use it

I agree totally with this SOCL. It's the same old tiring routine. Yup, that's correct - it was the tri-fighter, and it was all a ruse. The four fighters were being used to bait the YV into attacking the planet (Borellias, spelt better though), and the real attak came from a Star Destroyer hidden near Coruscant . This begs the question though, what was that SD armed with to both inflict a relatively ample amount of damage to the World Ship and at such a great range? The most feared of them all Well, the obvious answer is raw firepower. Though I'd say it's more than just that, looking at games that utilise Super Weapon classes (What comes to mind for me is the Command and Conquer series (Ion Cannon, Multimissile, Scud Storms and Nukes) and Earth 2140 annd 2150 series(Nuke, Long Range Plasma cannons, Meteor or weather storm)) and the real world. I'd define it a weapon that has a huge advantage over your opponent in some form, whether it be firepower, range, accuracy (as a combined feature) or accesability to the target. And finally, there's the awe and fear factor. All of these super weapons also have a presence, not just for the unfortunate soul on the recieving end - but also the one pressing the button. Half the purpose of the Death Star was fear, and the same goes for real world equivalence such as Nuclear weapons, Air Fuel Bombs, Crusier Missiles etc. I'd argue that a hyperspace capable, cruiser missile style weapon, in the SW universe could be an apt super weapon - as long as it also carries the capablility to destroy a cruiser in one shot or so. Sort of like a Galactic Gun, just without blowing up a planet in the process:wink: Also, in the case of the Eclipse and Sovereign being super weapons - I'd use a real world equivelence a warship or submarine carrying ICBMs, where the boat is just a carrying vessel - but the missile is the super weapon.

Empire at War: Total Realism v2.0 --- get ready...
Krytos replied to Athanasios's topic in Empire at War
Excellent news !!! After hearing some less than good reviews about the game, I've been less than interested in getting the game very soon - and was planning no waiting quiet a while before I bought it. But this mod sounds awesome, I'm downloading the demo of EaW now and might take the plunge into buying the game much sooner than expected -
The ISD erupted in a massive fireball of golden arcs, ripping apart its hull in the depths of space as bright red laser bolts tore through it's weakened hull. As the final Imperial vessel was destroyed, a sense of satisfaction rolled over Krytos. "Another victory under my . . ." But his comments were struck short as the tactical display's colours distorted as if infected by a virus. In an instant, the glorious battle became tarnished by the most dreaded message that existed came to be: This Program has performed an Illegal Application! "Son of a b . . ." Krytos grumbled, as Rebellion crashed again. "Might as well take the hint and get some work done . . . but first - a drink!" Krytos smiled as he found his never ending smoothy that he got from the TOP2, and due to a small glitch in the ship his smoothy never ran out - just like a real everlasting gobstopper. The smoothiness of the moment was halted as his computer made a familiar beeping noise. "Mail? Hmm, I wonder who that could be? Better not be some more spam or a bloody virus!" Sitting back at his computer, Krytos took his sweet time reading the first email he received: "Interesting . . . . seems as if I've been gone for a little too long. There's something unusual going on here. "Oh well, now lets look at this second untitled email from an email address I've never seen. I'm sure it's a harmless email." Krytos opened the email, his eyes widening - the horrors inside! My Little Pony’s everywhere, all in pinks and peaches and light blues! "Arrrghhhhhh!!!! Not again! Not this nightmare again!" Krytos screamed, like a little girl, as the memories flooded back. "Who'd send this email?" Quickly scanning to the bottom of the page, avoiding the horrendous pictures, Krytos found the email was ended with a simple four-letter word: MEOW. "No . . . " Meow rippled through the force, and Krytos' eye's opened wider again. The evil was awakened, more so than he'd known. . . how had he not felt its presence yet? Krytos now hopped that whatever the microchips that Mitth was sending him would hold some important secrets to the evil out there, and he hoped that Tex could fill him in on what had happened since Krytos' last encounter with Tofu, the laky of the great evil.

Exellent work there, that guy is really talented. The shot of "Hope's" face is extremelly well done!

Also, you can check out the modelling area on the forum. There are some examples of works there, and it's also the place to ask about modelling (how to do it etc. if some of the downloadable tutorials are to hard to understand) or even request models. However, for the later (requesting models) you probably wont get much fo a responce at the moment from the modellers on the forum - I know that a few of them are quiet busy at the moment with real life and other projects and simply wont be able to take on the extra work. Nevertheless, have fun with the existing models in the download section - there's a nice database of varying models from the movies and from the EU

OOC: Oh, how pretty - red text! Umm . . . ignore that Tex PMed me a while back, asking if I wanted to join this RP. My answer was yes, but for a minor character - or at least minor in appearances So, if this RP is still running, I can jump in anytime - just give me a pointer to what you want me to do. @Mitth: That ship's all Fishy's. I only started a 3d model of it, and havn't finished it . . . or worked on it for quiet a while *Wonders off to find where he lost the AFC (A Fishy Cruiser) 3d model*

Hey Ulic. I hadn't put my name down for another RPG due to time constraints - but, seeing as my new job doesn't exsist anymore I've got a handful of free hours a week Got a part for me? Unless taken, that rebellious Clone Trooper looks like fun

Personally, I can laugh at it - and I think it's funny. Does that make me a sadistic person? Maybe. Does it mean I can see the funny side to it? Maybe so. Does it mean I make fun of people with disabilities or disadvantages? No. I prefer to see the funny side to most things, rather than the negative all the time (not saying that people who see this as offensive are negative - just pointing out how I try to view things in general). Someone makes a joke, I'll probably laugh - and like Xan, if it's only in jest or in humour (not a fan of insulting people intentionally). Ever notice how blonde people also have the best blonde jokes!?! I've rarely met a blonde person who wouldn't laugh at a blonde joke or who wouldn't take over the joke session and lay waste to everyone else with their own blonde jokes. Anyway, seeing as this topic is now getting a little bit overboard, and personal - maybe it should be left alone?

I'm more interested in why she's arguing with her brother about this over a forum!. Instead of just doing to his face . . . . ok, interesting theory - not a lot of evidence backing it up though Cute bunny by the way

Taking this thread back on topic, my current job is laughable and doesn't deserve a mention due to it's utter crapness However, I am trying to get into the 3D modelling Industry - either within the gaming market, movies or independant contracting. I almost had one such job a week ago. But, I ended up dropping the job because it was simply asking for more time than I could commit due to my lifestyle and University studies. So, alas, I'm still waiting for my next big break into the modelling world where I can get paid for what I do (Excuse any typos, I'm a bit tired after chopping wood . . . I really need to get back into shape )

Whoops, didn't read this reply I'm sure whatever you get done will be more than fine, and you'd be doing me a favour - I just havn't the time to do much else other than Uni work at the moment
-
I'd put myself down for a CC-9600 as well. Built for a specific purpose, with the capability to fit a different mission profile (the unusual single regiment of troops . . . actually, that unusual quirk fits me as well ). Quality craftsmanship and whilst small, it packs a punch. It also fights for what is right (Or at least what I percieve as right). Given a greater range of choice, I'd choose my re-designed Majestic Cruiser for pretty much the same reasons . . . plus I designed and made it
-
Excellent find Jalhed I guess I should open my set I bought it as soon as it came out . . . but havn't really gotten around to actually opening the package let alone watching them
-
Your don't really grasp the concept of irony, do you? I guessed as much, but seeing as the tone of content always gets lost on the web I decided to explain it anyway
-
Excellent find Tex I kind of agree with Jahled though, maybe they're doing it too quick. Granted we didn't see everything going on, but there didn't seem to be much in the form of quality control and testing with exception of the guy in the pilot's seat (first vid - yet to watch second) testing the hydrolics
-
Which do you mean, man?! Er..., oh, wait, now I see, probably this one: It's colloquial. J, short for Jahled. Man, adjective for being cool or doing something cool. Hence, J-Man (Or Jahled Man) That's one of the funniest clips I've seen in a long time

Congrats on the 2000 posts Tofu, and before me as well I'd say and all without spamming . . . . but we all no that's a load of crap Keep up the good work DC One of you posts in worth 10 of anyone elses, or 100 of Tofu's

Bugger, bad luck B&R Surely if the card overheated of it's own fault the warranty would cover it?
