  1. Orange aye .. maybe she should see a doctor about that @General: Glad to see people using my sigs
  2. Three different jobs... Impressive. Maybe... It's really more a pain than it sounds...unless it sounds like a pain already... In any event, it's not much fun juggling three jobs and university all at once. Basically, I work at Borders the days I don't have classes, I work at the bank when I do have classes (after classes in the evenings since the bank is close to my university, except Fridays), and work as a receptionist Friday and sometimes Saturday nights (I am one of three, well, two now since one of the receptionists got sacked for losing some paperwork, but there are supposed to be three: one full-time, day-time receptionist, one part-time evening repcetionist, and one part-time weekend receptionist...me). Yeah, I'll second Mad's statement - more on the grounds of the fact you've got 3 jobs and can stand it I know people with 2 jobs and it drives them nuts, let alone 3 different jobs. Umm...did I read right? A drive through bank? That's new to me! Woo for you D16
  3. Me? I call myself Krytos And I see no real point in having a "nick name" to cover people who like SW. I mean, take this forum for instance, I'd hardly call most people here even close to Star Wars fanatics ... come to think of it, it's been a long time since I've even talked about something Star Warsy, I spend most of my time in the Outside Interest area (and outside of the forum, it drops off to about nothing) Further to the point, in general Star Wars seems to be more popular with a large and diverse crowd of people, with some people just liking it and getting into some of the additional fiction (aka. novels and games etc.) and others being fanatical ... the latter can be a little scary in my opinion Basically, this means that people who just like it will probably take offence from being called something like a "Warsie", conjuring up the image of a nerd wearing a Darth Vader costume while sitting in the dark at his computer (wait, did I just describe myself? ). Likewise, those fanatics probably wont like to be classified with the people who think that Endor was the planetoid/Moon that was fought on in Episode 6 (Forest moon of Endor - yes, lame of me). Of course, the same could probably be said for Star Trek .. they've just been scorned with an ultra nerdy image over the decades. And in real life, I go by my name - just my name ... well, actually I do accept: "Master", "Awesome guy", "You rock", "The best at *insert word here*" and so forth
  4. Perhaps they need to learn maths this way? Who'd have thunk it - making maths easy, and fun (No, not a typo with "thunk" - just a reference to Bill Hicks)
  5. Wow ... that's ... umm ... wow That's realllllllly dumb Reminds me of this: Already posted in the Random Thread

  7. OOC: Oh crap! Sooo sorry Jess I'd completely forgotten about this RP due to uni and other crap Umm, yes - so I guess a discussion of the plot would be an idea I'm up for it, though it will have to be a slow progress where my character won't realise it until .. well it's obvious. But he'll still stay distant and dark, a hurt character relating to the violence on the planet and a prior love ... Other than that, I think we need to start the action again and do some hit and run style attacks ... of course, with just the two off us left to write the story do you have any ideas of where you'd like to head?
  8. Congrats on getting things working again SOCL Drivers can be a pain in the ... butt. Oh, and as for using IE7, you've got one supporter at least

  11. YEAH! Thanks Krytos! My pleasure Tex Erm, yes ... well going through both Uni and High School I've met a few "idiots" in my time. Truth be told, no stories jump out at me though, which is a crying shame because I knew at least 5-10 brickwalls in high school who would struggle with basic ... anything

A user banner for anyone that wants it: http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif Side note, should I put it in the stick topic "WANTED: Images for SWR" in the General discussions area? 14. Now, it's been a while since I've done chem ... 3 years since I've looked at a chemical equation in fact. But, either you've written up your balance wrong in the browser, or something doesn't seem to fit. Mainly the fact that your balanced equation isn't balanced, you've got two sodium atoms and only one bromide now, and yet some how produce two molecules with it BEAKed? (That one's for Tex) For those who don't know how to balance chemical equations, it's really simple. Especially the one above. You're basically told the types of atoms used (usually told that you have several of one type as well), and the end product. And basically you need to make the equation so there are enough atoms for a full reaction. So the equation starts off with a single Na (sodium) atom and a single Br2 (bromine) molecule and when reacted they produce NaBr. So if you look at the equation, the Br2 molecule will be broken to make 2 Br atoms. Then only 1 of those atoms is used in the reaction, leaving a Br atom behind. To balance it, we add another Na atom to react with the left over Br atom, create two NaBr molecules.
  15. I've got a friend who LOVES Heroes, she constantly gets her dad to download it, and just the other day (yesterday I think) there was a comercial for it coming on TV soon! So I'll be watching it eventually

  17. Pretty close there undertaker, -14F is -25.5 C ... very, very cold. -12 Degrees C is 10.4 F. And 0 degress C is 32 F. ----------------- EDIT: This has to be, without a doubt, the most FRUSTRATING conversation I've ever, ever heard! Behold the stupidity of people! No video, just sound - and long. You needn't really listen after the person gets put on hold during the middle of the recording unless you want to hear another stupid person make a fool of themself.

    Treats

Oh, an s2000 - nice. I might make the suggestion, though, if you're not much of a manual driver go for an auto or take a few test drives of a manual before getting it. The clutch and transmission are fine, but the engine is rather torqueless - even more so at low revs (and given the rev range, red lining up around 8 or 9 thousand RPM, those low revs could be quiet high relatively speaking) and can cause massive headaches trying to get moving. It would probably be fine on flats, especially after getting use to it - but hills could be a curse I know my brother's manual RX7, back when it was N/A, suffered a simular problem with little to no torque at low revs and was just a pain when starting on hills. Other than that, that's that and the NSX are the only Honders I like Good choice @LLF: Tough choice there LLF! That's an awesome keyboard - my brother was looking at getting one a while back, but ended up settling for a wireless keyboard instead. Tablets are great, and I could imagine them making life more interesting for you and graphics. Cool ... ah ... not my choice of words @DarthRob: Good luck with the leprechaun

  23. I'll take this opportunity to answer this - being a junior member, I rarely (if ever) talk about reloaded. But I figure I'll take this as a chance to let some people in on the workings within the project. First off, we've still got our targets set on 2006. If nothing else, a release beta should be ready to go (don't hold me to this) before the year is out. Secondly, I'll just give you a rough overview of the workings within the Reloaded project, and more importantly the ever popular question: Why isn't it ready? As many of you know, LLF has often (and repeatedly) asked for additional assistance from the community with help in various areas. Most of these request go un-answered, or turn into an empty hope where the member disappears or doesn't end up being able to do the work (don't get me wrong, there have been calls for help in areas such as voices of which we got a lot of support - but can still do with more if you care to lend your vocals to the project). Currently, there are only a handful of people working on Reloaded (I'm not mentioning who or numbers, but if an RR members wont, voice who you are). Over the course of the project there have been many other members - some who have nothing more they can contribute, others who disappear or leave. The latter of which often cause a bit of turmoil and have ultimately aided in the time it's taken for the mod to develop. There's nothing worse than an online community working towards something when members just disappear and you're left trying to fill the void and get your head around what they had done (conceptually and physically). Currently, I'm working on a movie and when it's well under way I'll be moving onto another task for the project, working simultaneously. After that, there will be more for me to do - assuming my limited skills are of use. Likewise, other people have their tasks - some of which are needed to get done before advancing. Which lends to the "online" problem. All members live all over the world, creating massive barriers for things as simple as a discussion (that being said, I know many of the senior members have gone out of their way to stay up later, get up earlier or whatever to have proper real-time conversations). Recently, we had one of our larger set backs (I can only base this on my own experience in the team). When the servers crashed for the forums, and everyone lost 4 months of posts and work - well, they weren't the only ones. The RR team suffered set backs from lost conversations, to the more dramatic lost work of a team mate. Valiant strides were made, and that bump in the road has been smoothed out again, and as such we're back on track. But it is a slow progress. Rebellion, to create a truly Total Conversion, requires a lot of work, with thousands of image files to be edited, models to be changed, videos created, making new voice overs, conceptual discussions on what's going to occur during the game, ships and units balanced and more - not to mention in the end, everything needs to be tested. This all takes time, and with a handful of people to work on it ... well, you get the picture. So in closing, we're still excited about this project. We are still working on it, spending our own free time between studies and work and other real life moments like health problems to get it done. And we will get it done.
