Wow, it's been too long since I've posted here! It just ain't right I tells ya! Part of a movie/animation project I did for uni - I did the scene work (all the animations, dynamics and textures involved there as well) and lighting. As well as optimising the scene to get it all rendered over a weekend, which was a tall order when a single frame took 20 minutes to render originally. I fixed his little red waggon good. My mate did the character, and her animations. Thing's about partners that can get annoying - him leaving all the work to you, expecting you to do stuff he was meant to do, using an old 3d model - and not doing the animation properly! (I spent hours talking to him over the walking, and he never fixed it, she flies ) Just two renders unfortunately. http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/419/river0ag.th.jpg Water uses Reactor's dynamic water so the fish that swim effect the ripples as well as has effect later on when the character throws something in. Just watching over the rock as clouds drift by. Final gather looks cool, but is a CPU killer. Some over the top glaring going on too. Here I used max to render out the z-buffer and then Photoshop to do the rest. It's faster and smoother - but lacks some realism as when the blur becomes to great, Photoshop can't see around the objects and the blur gets weird edges.

In how many SW novels and series is this not the case? Haha, good point I guess in that sense the NJO series is better and most characters have a sense of mortality. I'd like to read some of the Wraith novels. The only had a small taste of them, through the Enemy Lines novels within the NJO series. I found them easy to like characters, and very humorous - Kell and Face are great characters It would be great to read more about them.

I've read a few, and owned at least one ... All of which were pretty good when I read them. In retrospect, I have a feeling that the characters where too god like and capable of incredible feats of daring. But, to some extent, that made the series.

Ok, so you've obviously started the RP. What's the time frame here? You're on Nal Hutta, while evacuating it ... so I'm guessing around Edge of Victory in the NJO books? Where The Hutts betray the Vong etc. Or iis it another time?

Sublight speed determines the speed of a ship or fighter during combat. In this case, the higher the value, the faster the ship. Hyperspace value is for moving fleets around outside of combat, in the galactic view. Here, the lower the value the quicker it is for a unit/fleet to jump from planet to planet.

To my recollection, the lower the number, the faster the ship will travel. I'm about 90% sure of that. I don't recall the fastest I've gotten them (I had tried putting it to 1, which is obviously fast - but the time it takes to jump from system to system, I don't remember)

I remember that episode! There were actually quiet a few (the show was CNNN, and was a "piss take" of the news, current affairs etc.) of those segments, all of which with simular outcomes. Truth be told, they take the piss out of Australia more than anyone else, but America is probably number two on their list. I agree with you on principle, as in that it's the new wonders and to have something new .. but nothing new (that comes to mind at least) screams a Wonder of the world. They've got the Opera house .. which is semi-rescent. But that's hardly something that draws awe. It's pretty, and a nice feet or architecture. But, the Great Wall of China and the Pyramids - those truelly are Wonders of the World that still make people look at them with ... well, wonder My list: The Colosseum Easter Island Statues Great Wall of China The Pyramids Stonehenge Petra (That's the building carved out of a cliff face!) Machu Picchu (lost city anyone ) Now ... whether or not I actually vote is another thing, I'm not a huge fan of giving to many facts about my self just to register (Yes, I know that I can make it up )

I'm going to vote ... just not sure for what yet. What's the Sydney Opera House doing there? That's hardly a wonder of the world ... the Statues on Easter Island, the Pyramids, the Great Wall - those are Wonders. I'll edit this once I vote.

I'm up for this RP ... no character just yet though, I'll probably take on a usual persona of being a grunt just trying to stay alive ... not sure of much else right now. That is, unless I have two characters I'd really like to have a character on Coruscant after its fall, maybe by himself - maybe not, other players can choose whether or not they want to be apart of that. I still use it because it sounds cool and constantly confuses people with online games. "Hey, Crytoe ... Kreetose .. whatever the hell you are!" I personally think it's pronounced "cry-toss", that's how I say it, as well as several other people ... and it sounds best that way. Now, I am VERY intrigued to know where: "ElvisMiggell" came from
