it's a CSS problem. One of those annoying elements of designing and making web pages and wanting them to work on both IE and FireFox (lets not forget the other browser out there as well - Opera, Safari, Net Scape etc. which will render things different again) and to work at specific resolutions. I run 1024x768 and get the same problem. But, for me at least, it's not biggy.

It's one of those annoying game elements that you wish there was a way to fix during the game. There's nothing worse than trying to refit a fleet, being told it'll take x days and yet 20 days later they're still building. Heck, I've had some that have taken almost twice as long as predicted. You wish that planet loyality played into it, the more loyal the more likely they are to finish on time .. or pull an empire move, not ready on time? Launch them out of the Death Star.

I'm using IE7, XP - 32bit edition, with no problems what-so-ever. I strongly doubt that the 64bit edition of XP would be screwing with IE's rendering engine. Have you tried right-clicking on the image once they get to the unfinished loading stage that you've show and clicking "Show Image" - which should reload the image. Not a fix, but should be interesting to see the result.

http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/6388/pencilyd8.th.gif So far, so simple - I'm probably going to keep it black and white. This'll allow it to work with most colour schemes. If you've got someone with photoshop you can also do simple things like invert the colours if need be or change the black to ... whatever you want . I should point out, I'm planning on adding led to the pencil, the text as well as making the pencil "chubby". Maybe some shading if I can get things to work how I want.
