  1. From what I know of the EU and it's purpose, it sounds like a good idea. In th eend the unification of nations under one banner, without borders or nationalism, will create stability in the world. The idea of patriotism is obserd since we'r eall human beings. The concept of a nation is a little archaic. Ok, got of topic. Good idea. Good for European economies, brings people together and all that.
  2. I don't think that there was anything that could be done to improve TPM. Because it was actually the first of a series, it had to set up the plot and introduce us to new characters and factions. Even in the original trillogy, while ANH is a good movie, it's not the best of the three. The only think I wish wasn't in TPM was most of what happened on Tatooine. The pod race was nice, but pointless other than establishing how Anakin escapes slavery.
  3. Wow, not only is that double posting, but it's spamming, and reviving a postthat has been dead for 6 months! It'll be no time at all until you match Trej for posts.
  4. Recently he has been posting less often, so I have to say congrats Trej.
  5. I have to agree with Scath. If there were an all-encompassing Top Five chart, it would look like all of the others, because Pop, Rock, and Country are the most popular music right now.
  6. You forgot the one word that described his mood best: Mexico (or Mexican).
  7. Ich Hatt Einen Komeraden - Erm, some Nazi composer probably...
  8. There aren't any conflicts, but if you want to do a Windows Update, or pretty much any sort of Live Update that uses an internet browser, you'll need to use IE since Firefox tends not to load those pages.
  9. What I have heard on the radio conflicts with what I find on the net. I hear that Avril Laveign is still #1 here (or, at least her CD is), but she's not on most of the lists I find.
  10. You can get a referbished 21'" Dell Trinitron for $150. Sure it's used, but if a monitor lasts for a year, it'll usually last forever.
  11. Either name the server after SWR (good publicity, and you may even have call for a Battlefront section to be added), or [sPAM] Clan Public Server, or some such.
  12. Every chart I see for Canada is different. I'll update when I find consitency.
  13. I also completed my collection a while ago. I don't think that there is a Star Wars novel I don't have, save the Young Jedi Knights series... I just couldn't bring myself to go into the childrens section...
  14. 1. Well, just visit your nearest electronics retailer. It's a Microsoft game, so it'll probably be on the shelves for a long time to come. If that doesn't work, check Microsoft's website and see if you can order it from them. 2. The game was released in 2003, but I must admit that the graphics are better than one would imagine. Think of it as Homeworld 2 in a flightsim, only better graphics. 3. It's no larger than most games today, aaround 1.5-2 gig, plus whatever mods and whatnot you may feel the need to get.
  15. That's probably true. As yet I have to experience the problem again, though I'm going to try and play around with the settins again and see if it happens. I'm sick of not getting the most out of my card.
  16. Did you also get the final book, Starfighters of Adumar? I've found that it is increasingly difficult to find.
  17. Those are some of the few features missing from the game. Wingmen tend to act of their own accord, and managing factions is basically done by getting on their good side. The 90 meg mod also adds a lot more weapons and sectors. I did have trouble deactivating it, so I had to uninstall Freelancer and the Mod Manager. I'm looking for another mod that was much smaller that also added capitol ships.
  18. There is one newer mod that adds 75 new ships, including SW universe ships, as well as making the capitol ships buildable. Here is the link. It's a big download, 90meg, and there is something in their instructions about deleting your Freelancer folder and then reinstalling before installing the mod, but I'm a little wary of doing that, so I just did it the old fashoin way. Be sure to grab the Freelancer Mod Manager v1.31 before you download the mod.
  19. I find that it is easier to use than IE, and it is less pickey when it comes to a pop-up blocker. The only thing i don't like about it is that the left-click "save as" feature doesn't always work as well as IEs. I still use IE for some of my downloading.
  20. My Radeon 9800 Pro cost me $249, though that was through Future Shop, who has a deal with ATI. It also came with a $50 mail-in rebate. If I were to buy it from ATI it would have cost me $349.
  21. There is an odd conversion for monitor/TV sizes between Europe and North America. a TV that passes for 32" in Europe is only considered a 27" here. Just thought of this. In some cases CRTs are better for gaming, but if you geta high-quality LCD, your image will be much clearer. If I had the money I'd switch to an LCD monitor, but they're just too pricy.
  22. If it performs at the same level as an ATI Radeon 9800, yes, it's a very good choice. I'm not sure of how good MSI cards are. I hear good things though.
  23. There are two reasons why you may not be having any problems. First is that difficulties only arise when you force programs to use settings that you define. For example, setting your card so that, no matter what, it will use AGP 8x and AA 6x may cause a VPU Recovery error. Also, from what I have gathered, the errors only seem to occur with certain games, which change depending on what card you are using. I found that I only had problems with my card while playing Lineage II, but I was using the Catalyst Controle Centre to force overclock settings. After I set my card to allow programs to choose the best settings, the problem dissapeared.
  24. Well, I'm not sure if it's just ATI, or the Radeon cards in general, but there are a lot of people hacing VPU Recovery problems. If you can, get it from another company than ATI and I doubt you'll have problems.
  25. Ok, I know that we've got a lot of polls going on, and a lot of topics alive, but I want to know what size your monitor is. In your post you can also tell us what brand, and whether it is CRT or LCD (or plasma if you've got lots of money). I personally use a 21" (is it ' or " for inches? Sorry, was raised on the metric system ) Dell Trinitron CRT true flat. It's a nice monitor, but I'm sort of worried it will break my flimsy desk .
