  1. Any progress in the SW FoC minimod? Ah, and did you test the maps (the Peragus XII one and 'The Last Legacy') that I send to you some time ago? Ah, and did I send the Hoth map to you?
  2. JC, what about changing the HV gun, planetary Ion Cannon and the Plasma Cannon to be 'stronger'? The HV gun and Plasma Cannon should do more damage, the Ion Cannon stun effect should be more devastating. What do you think of the idea, Shak? Is that 'right'? (Asking to you because you are SotE researcher) I don't remmember if this was already done: are TIE Defenders/B-Wings able to do bombing runs? Or am I confusing with some other mod? 'Off-Topic': Jaydinator, I'm starting to think your gfx card is damaged. :-\ Last November, when I got this new PC as B-Day present, I wasn't able to play EaW/FoC because it was freezing a lot and after sometime it began to give me exceptions - I tried to download a bunch of drivers but none of them resolved the problem. Almost one week later, I couldn't even start the game and the other games stopped working too. I brought the PC to the store and after looking and testing, they said the gfx card was probably damaged. They gave me other and everything worked ok.

  4. I got it to work. While checking the sound code in SFXEventEngines I realized that I forgot to put the sound format after the sound name! Anyhow, thanks to people who tried to help me. Now, is there any way via XML coding that I can make the sound more loud?
  5. Nice changes! Did you use the large cut command center models? The Rebel one has many buidling tied to it and the Imperial one has some structures too, including a land pad. I think the Rebel name is ACC.alo and the Imp is ICC.alo.
  6. Yes I did. I got the Cloud Car to work... SidiousInvader helped me. It was missing Land Obstacle in LandBehavior tag.
  7. Hmm I didn't hear the sound during 6 minutes....
  8. They don't do anything (I put two of them in a map, one being Hostile and the another one Sarlaac just to test - the Grand Army of the Sarlaac Empire! ). Actually I tested the Kessel with ships around prop (it's the one you see in the 1st mission of ZC campaign, right?) and it doesn't make any sounds.
  9. If I edited no one would see... Can someone tell me what/where is that file - SFX animation map text file??
  10. Their affiliation is currently neutral Fire at other ships with the category capital set. I gave them the necessary Behavior/LandBehavior attributes, made the hardpoints, made a projectile for land that don't do damage (making them as unlimited background). Good idea, I'll try. If that's not possible, than I make those structures able to build that units. Oh I didn't know that Kessel prop makes sound... Thanks by the tip, I'll check it's code. ;D
  11. Uh... This topic seems a bit dead... Well guys, I'm really needing help with my "Bantha Docks" map... I'm very frustrated since I can't get the things to work! :-\ - The Cloud Car props that are supposed just to scenery aren't showing in the map, and I don't want to make the Bespin Wing Guard hangar again; - The land based Star Destroyers don't work; - I was also willing to make hostile structures that the will spawn hostile spacers (a squad that have many different kind of people that you would see in a dock) and other exactly same structures that would be capturable (is this term correct? If not, I wanted to say that the player would be able to capture it) and spawn these squads to the structure's current owner - if I had succeeded in this, I would code capturable "Droid Shops" (would spawn Astrometrich droids, Protocol droids, and others that would use the spotter and the gas collector droid models) to the current owner; - The alarm sound prop doesn't work. If someone that has knowledge in modding (I lack in that) could help me, I would send the files to he/she takes look, since there are too much codes to be posted here (not that much, but more than 5). Of course that if someone help me, I'll give a special thanks in the file's read-me when ready. ;D
  12. Nice! Just some suggestions: - Don't you think the 'Jet-Trooper' (sorry, I do play the crappy Battlefront II ) shouldn't have the uh... 'skirt'? - Phase I is pretty good; Phase II is also good too, but I think their helmet should be bigger... At least the visor textures...
  13. I'm glad to see you aren't giving up. Wish you and SotE team good luck in continuing the project. Ah, and if you are having too much lag yet, turn down the shadow quality level, I did this and it reduced the lags too. Keep up your great work!
  14. What?! SotE is cancelled? JC, do not give up, you're doing an amazing work, do not let these small things in your way stop your work. Every project have it's problens, and we may try to solve them. Really, do not give up. Unless that will be better to you. :-\

  17. Did anyone have this idea yet? Some big ships, with some triangular design *cough* ARC-Hammer rescaled *cough* could have this ability! 'Squash' small ships! Would it work? Or do the ships need some kind of mesh to do that? If so, do the game's ship have that mesh? : : :
  18. Hey guys, do any of you have the BFII map editor? If yes, could you post some screens of it? Because I wanted to learn how to map for BFII, although FPS mapping is times harder than RTS mapping... And I'm not going to download the big file until I have some idea of how is it... ;D
  19. The mod is pretty good, I'm still testing it. There's a large veriety of units available to buy, nice models, textures, etc etc. ;D These are the bugs I experienced until now: - Some engine glows of some fighters (i.e.: Y-Wings) should be smaller - if possible; - I can't use some heros in land (like Jerec); - Rendili can't connect with other planets in campaign Revenge of the Empire.

  22. In terms of our reality vs. SW reality, yes that's impossible, but who cares? If you know how to mod, you can make many things that you like! Modding is, in other words, unleash your creativity!
  23. Hmmm.... Don't think so... In terms of SW realism, how could someone repair an ISD engine in the middle of the battle?! :-\
