I personally don't have anything against women playing games as long as they don't start making noise about it like "Nyah! Haha, I am a girl and I play games, so what's up now!". When they get that attitude, I would prefer they leave immediately. It is even worse when they try to come in and take over like some posters on WoW complaining about how the character models (night elf and human) are too sexist and that Blizzard needs to hire female artists. (they have female artists and they draw the women that way too, by the way... anyhoo) I have never, not once in my 15-19 years playing computer games have had anything added to the experience by a female gamer that would not have been the same or better by a male gamer. The only things brought to the table that I have experience and what I have witnessed that are different than male gamers has been negative things. Not saying there should be no female gamers at all, the more the merrier except when they come in and try to change my experience, I say gtfo! (Get the Female Out) My girlfriend plays WoW with me and she gets irritated at the attitudes and actions of alot of female "gamers" like the situations I mentioned above. Not all female gamers are bad, like I said. But ones like my gf are the exception rather than the rule. Sad IMO, but it parrallels other areas too. Anyway, since this is the Bar, I guess topics like this are allowed, but if I were a moderator I would try to minimize potentially volatile topics like this as much as possible. Just a suggestion.
