i learned the other night that i suck at Wii baseball.... on the WiiSports game... I hold the record in the homerun derby training (7 out of 10).. yet when i played my girlfriend's brother.. he got a homerun at the beginning... then i went scoreless in the bottom of the 1st.. then in the top of the second he got a homerun with bases loaded.. making it 5-0.. then in the bottom of the second I was scoreless again and then it said.. "Mercy Rule".. Thats the game! I didnt even get to play the 3rd inning... needless to say.. im never living it down..

I don't find that ignorant, I find that justified. I mean.. go to any other country, (I'm going to take the U.A.E. for example since I have lived there) and you are basically REQUIRED to adapt to their culture. For instance when I was living in the U.A.E., if you were to eat out in public during Ramadan it was an offense which granted arrest and fines. Granted there are provisions for people such as myself... such as you can eat in a restaurant just not on the streets or another example being the liquor license, as long as you can prove you are an American, Brit, Spaniard.. etc etc. you get issued a license and can buy "spirits"... but I don't find it ignorant of anyone in that country to expect others visiting or deciding to take residence in their country to adapt to their culture. You say there isn't an American culture per se but I think there is, and its the melting pot culture... "E pluribus unum" .. From many, One ... if people are going to live here, yes we are going to be understanding and respectful of their heritage and culture, but they must also be of ours... being of Cuban decent I know what it is to need to blend in. oh yea... and hello all.. been gone a bit.. been having to deal with this: Nasty Weather in my region

See ya.. that's another thing.. i thought it was cool that the YT-1300 made an appearance being that it was a ship "used in the old days" when the back story of the falcon was constructed after the original films.. I thought what we were seeing in Ep. III was just that... a generic YT-1300.... and now.. i hear.. it was in fact THE Millenium Falcon... just before any of its relevant history began............ that kinda ruined it for me.. took away the "specialness" of seeing a random ship... at least thats how I felt about it... Personally I don't think Vader's ability to deflect/absorb lightning was called into question during RotJ... since he didnt have the opportunity. I'll admit I haven't seen it in quite sometime so I don't remember the exact series of events, but I would think even if Vader could deflect or absorb.. it wouldn't be linked to his hands. Plus Vader was mechanical.. so I always thought that since he is mainly metal he acted as a large conductor and just channelled that stuff through his body.. and I always thought that the lightning screwed his systems and hence why he was breathing hard and dying at the end. I think the only reason he deflected or absorbed the blaster shots in ESB is because his hands are metal. I dont think... (as evidenced by later transgressions) that George Lucas thought that hard about it.. and just thought it would be cool and menacing for Vader to deflect the shots... and when i watched ESB for the first time ever.. that was my only thought really.. ("Oh.. hes metal so he can do that.") you never really learn that much of the force or its capabilities.. (which I think we elaborated on only after the films for various reasons)
