I used to agree with you Mitth, but.. unfortunately for me.. in the area.. there is no local major league football, baseball, or hockey. Only basketball.. so.. its kinda what i HAD to get into in order to be able to talk local sports with friends and co-workers... oh... and nothing is more boring than watch golf.... in my opinion. I would agree.... but the teams i cared about are basically out of it.... i mean.. im down with the devils.. but the Spurs are a priority over the Devils... All I have to say is the Mavericks are playing the Golden State Warriors (1st vs. 8th) and the Mav's are losing the series 3-1! The Spurs are playing the Denver Nuggets (3rd vs. 6th) and the Spurs just won last night to make it a 3-1 series! I can't wait for the next round without the Mav's! Go Spurs Go!!! (sorry I dont have any cool smiley's or anything.. dont you Tex? I think you did last playoff season no?)

OOC: I apologize deeply for my tardiness in the posting of this story all.. but here it is.. for better or for worse.. It seemed my intuition was right, after the invasion and the temporary celebration of a victory I found out the truth in my own ways. Being the maintenance man around the base has it advantages, not many people expect much out of you and you can find out a lot just by what needs repairing. I found out that the boss’ office was obliterated, along with half the area surrounding it. I deduced this was the point of the attack. I started to figure out a plan of repairing all the damaged AB-uglies that were still out there, I thought, finishing the remaining enemies, when the evacuation order came. Great, I guess were just abandoning all this… I thought to myself. It makes sense now that none of the AB’s are back yet, I guess they’re heading to the ships; maybe I could get some repair work done on them there. In the meantime I’ll start repairing the damage to the ones currently in the maintenance bay. I had finished repairing a couple AB’s, much to the delight of a few of the pilots I had met during the invasion, when it was time for me to evacuate. I was in my quarters gathering the necessary things for an evacuation when all of a sudden: “Commander JediHunter?, this is control, you have an incoming message from Captain Harsh of Home Two.â€

... I have them.. and the guy just seems to be bitter about something.. it wasnt that bad.. I found them enjoyable (there are 3 parts.. hence 3 comics)well.. at least thats how I bought it back in the day.. it may now be one comic... (3 into 1).. but meh.. its good.. i think

Thats a really cool way to look at it Eagle.. I think thats really a perfect way to explain and compare our space faring technology.. anyways.. i would just like to mention now that perhaps if the planet were inhabited they wouldnt want to know us.. if they are indeed receiving our television broadcasts.. they would be receiving our broadcasts from 20 years ago... 1987.. they may think us a bit crazy with out "Flock of Seagulls" haircuts... on a more serious note.. Ahhh yes, Eagle.... you are talking about the most recently release DVD's... which are more true to the original form of the movie... any DVD released before the ones you purchased but after... Episode II was it?... has the Kiwi's voice for Boba..... blasphemers!!!!... they ruined Boba Fett.... he was my favorite... as he was... I'm not really that upset.. but still miffed...

Here I do not agree with you. Yellow ribbons and American flag stickers don't mean anything, in my opinion. Too many people with "Support Our Troops" merchandise without even realizing what it means to serve. It really just makes me sick. Living on military bases, I saw a lot of people with this sort of merchandise, civilian mostly, but did any of them stay up until two in the morning to greet the soldiers at they came home? No. I'm not trying to say I'm more patriotic than people who have this stuff--not at all; I just find most of it rather ridiculous and overdone, like some fad. And did you know the person who invented the yellow ribbon car-magnet, despite making a fortune, has done no real work for the troops? If you want to support the troops, be a pen-pal or thank them. Just my two cents. Thats basically my whole point SOCL.. dont misunderstand me... i was basically expressing my contempt with the American society.. i just didnt have too much time to type it out being that im at work.. and spent too long on the internet by the time i was posting on SWR... I chose to mention the magnets and stickers as a representation of the American Society's fleeting support for what really matters... and as I figured.. the person who actually made money from the exploitation of the American public didnt even give back with any amount of the profits (or so thats how I interpreted it).. and exactly... most people would put the magnets on their cars (or the flag) in order to feel better about themselves.. they never even bothered to ask where the money was going im sure... and let me mention i never once owned such a magnet... instead I did my part by housing sailors during the persian gulf war (90-91), when I lived over there.. and will continue to contribute to the support of the troops in various ways throughout my life when I have the means.. and opportunity.. and you qualified it perfectly... a fad hence why you dont see them anymore.. i rather doubt most those people ever actually did support the troops.. as you mentioned..

i had.. and still have.. alot of the old and new figurines.. back in the day i even had the chewbacca bandolier which held the figures for easy access (gasp!.. lol).... but yea.. not gonna get into all which i have.. its a little ridiculous really..

I've also heard of people on ebay selling you something and then sending you the PICTURE of said item... and then when you are all pissed.. they reference you to a line in the auction hidden in plain site.. that says something to the effect of "auction is for picture of item not item itself".. or something like that.. I agree that the media should move off the campus immediately and that the multimedia package provided by Cho should have gotten less distribution than it did. I do think however, the American media should remain vigilant on reporting real news and not Anna Nicole Smith and the fight over baby's daddies or spending six months talking about one stupid bitch who got drunk and hung out with the wrong crowd down in Aruba. Once again I cant help but agree here... and again the media is at it.. now the big story is Alec Baldwin and his private voicemail message to his daughter.. which somehow got leaked... it sickens me sometimes how obssesed this country is with celebrities and their personal lives... and how fickle we are with the news.. once something is no longer "sexy" (as I call it) it no longer is worthy of our attention.. its kinda the same thing with charitable causes.. like.. (dont damn me for saying this) breast cancer is the "sexy" cancer (i know.. no cancer is sexy..) hence it gets lots of "airplay" and support such as marketing and fundraising events... but what about cervical cancer or prostate cancer?.. nothing.. or close to it.. ok.. /rant ... just this society concerns me sometimes.. that sounds quite cool SOCL.. im happy to hear someone is taking action.. i mean.. anyone else notice that there arent nearly as many ribbons on cars or american flag stickers on bumpers anymore?.. i think we need to restate our support and patriotism.. and permanently..

I totally concur Budious... it is a tad on the wrong side.. thats why i kinda disagree with all the media attention this tragedy is getting... Because all our ships don't travel together.. they are spilt into groups which deploy around the world.. and we all know that a smaller group is easier to overpower than a larger one... maybe.. depending on situations of course.. but its undeniable that it would be easier
