  1. You get an official spiffy award for that, J. Did you make it yourself? If so I think you have just decisively won Mad's contest.
  2. There's always being killed by Zoot...
  3. Whine, whine, whine. Mitth, I have had a grand total of one, yes, ONE white Christmas with snow and whatnot. And global warming doesn't exist. That's one more than me... Well, there was the time I went to Switzerland- remember, Mad? The ice skating, and... Wait, Krytos was there, too... And he spiked the eggnog again... And then I proposed to- Krytos, you bastard!
  4. Wait... what?!.. there were girls?!?!?! and i was not informed?!!! Did you ever meet DinoChick? There was that time Tofu got so drunk he thought AI was a girl and... Good times. Good times. ... I thought we agreed never to talk of that. Ever again. Besides, it isn't my fault Krytos spiked the eggnog!
  5. I credit LLF as starting this little fad. As far as I know he started doing it last year. Then I saw J and yourself do some avatar mods and thought why not join the Christmas avatar bandwagon! http://smiliestation.de/smileys/Starwars/22.gif Seduced into producing my own holiday-style avatar because everyone else had? What? Me? Never!
  6. Oh my gosh... JH, I believe that is the longest sustained text you have ever written in a conversation-style post that didn't contain any elipses! I'm so proud of you, man!
  7. Hah! Other people's misery makes my day brighter...
  8. Nnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooo! Dang you Tofu, and your futuristic logic! Well the "Nnnnoooooooooooooooooooo!" prooves that you're taking it like a... I was going to say a man, but now that I think about it, your taking it like a whiny farm boy.
  9. Whaqt do you mean by learn them? Know who was involved, why the case was set up, the arguments of both sides, and the parts of the Constitution that supported them. Urg.
  10. Here is something my sister did... Vote for it and she gets a free supply of Irn Bru for a month... Which she promised to share with me...
  11. Here's a rather n00bish question I want to ask you 3D Maxer...s Is there a way to import a 2D image into the the software so that you can effectively 'trace' that image? In other words, if I were to take profil pictures of, say, a chair, could I import the appropriate views of said chair into the program so that I could copy over them in the isometric views? (tell me if you didn't understand that... It's kind of hard to explain...)
  12. That's funny SOCL. Back in my day they were paper rolls (not the kind you smoke) with punch outs for player pianos, then hollow vinyl drums for phonographs, then came along LP's (vinyl records); the great jump in technology was 8-track! and then eventually cassette tapes. CD's were like futuristic ... man J's around quite often compared to the others. I've seen The Mask logged in occasionally (not necessarily posting though), but Scath and Trej have faded away. Wormie popped up awhile back, but seems to be gone again What's this? Nothing about having to hire a band if you wanted music? Nothing about how the music sucked because musical instruments at the time consisted of people banging on rocks? What kind of crotchety-old-geezer are you, Tex? I'm sorry, but we now have no choice but to declare you "Semi-modern."
  13. Dude... That ought to be on a YTMND. What kind of ridiculous school hires a teacher like that? Most people know that a mile is greater than a kilometer, anyways...
  14. Very spiffy, Mad!
  15. I have my own opinions, but I by no means consider myself a 'bleeding heart.' I merely put things in context and try to deal with them with empathy. You may say that, in not wanting to attend a Christian church sermon, I am close minded because I feel uncomfortable due to not believing as they do. How would you feel at a Muslim sermon? I have a feeling you'd be rather uncomfortable. Christian faith is only part of the foundation behind this nation. It was also built off of the Roman civilization, ideals such a Hammurabi's code, etc. Saying that the Constitution is based on the Bible is like saying that America today is based on white, caucasian males. Sure, a lot of stuff in production today is produced by white, caucasian males, and a lot of this stuff was invented by them. But if we only take inventions from white caucasian males to be American, then we're taking out a huge chunk of what makes America great. In calling me a 'bleeding heart' you hide behind a mask of a complete lack of empathy, and give no speech on the matter. I'm telling you what the Supreme Court has ruled- if you don't agree with the court, that's your right. Odds are you aren't about to change it. I do form my own opinions on matters, and feel strongly about them. I believe in most everything the Constitution says, and feel much the same way as the Supreme Court did in many cases. My opinions are formed recently in some cases, but they are still based upon the same matter as your own. Just because I feel sympathy for someones' cause doesn't mean that I'm a bad or stupid person, by any means. I don't see why today's society has gone off and found it to be a bad thing to care for your fellow man. I enjoy bringing up controversial subjects, primarily because I enjoy debate as well as seeing everyones' views on a matter, and why people feel the way they do. BTW: On "There's way too many errors?" Really? There is too many errors? There are too many.
  16. *runs off to consult Wookiepedia* *Returns* Well I'll be damned- it keeps you on life support...
  17. Can we just start calling you "The Third" from now on?
  18. I'm talking Constitution, not pilgrims.
  19. I just want to point out that this officially makes Mad the biggest spammer. He has a year and one month on me in terms of joining date, and twice my post count, plus about another thousand. Congrats, Mad. You are the biggest spammer!
  20. Tex, I'm studying this in government class. Ben Franklin and Tohomas Jefferson were both Deists, and the most of the founding fathers agreed that, in effect, a wall seperating church and state in America was necessarry. As for the parochial schools offering their Christmas break in August: That's when Jesus was supposed to have actually been born, if I remember correctly. Christmas was moved to the winter to take advantage of the popularity of the Pagan solstice holiday. You have every right to believe what you want, and I'm not trying to encroach upon that in any way, shape, or form. I'm fine with it. Thing is, it's been determined that you can't teach religion in a public school as fact. Ever heard of the Lemon Test? It was derived from a Supreme Court case, and essentially says that the government can in no way fund the teaching of any religion. The fact that you are 'offended' by the use of the term 'winter' is your own issue. Winter is not religious unless you want to start making up your own religion where that's a dirty word. So yes, you got that pretty much entirely wrong. This nation's Constitution is NOT founded upon the Bible. It is founded on the idea of freedom both to for religion and from it. I have no problem with it being called a Christmas break, so don't jump on my case about being a bleeding heart- I'm just repeating what the government has already said. Edit: So I feel rather stupid, now. I just realized that Rob's in college, not High School, and that Colleges, being something that is not considered absolutely necessarry in the U.S. may, in fact, call it a Christmas break if they want. Everything I was talking about reffers to required educational facilities.
  21. Eh, you have some much cooler stuff on your account, Mad. Really cool beans! Why don't you post that stuff, Mad?
  22. "Even professionals were once beginners." - unknown (to me) "Today is merely tomorrow's yesterday. These are the good old days to be looked back upon during another set of the good old days." - Me. Didn't that sound poetic or something?
  23. Animusic is awesome The song is Pictures at an Exhibition. I played it in Junior High School. Their version is fantastic. @Krytos: That billing guy is an idiot. Edit: Edit2: How to defend yourself against an attacker armed with a piece of fresh fruit.
  24. You've never seen Bill? He's kind of like Thumper, or WraithOne (It might've been Wraith1, I forget which) who lurk here and are occassionally inspired to post. He's deffinately been around while you were here, though.
  25. I remember reading somewhere that at some point during the Middle Ages when a person got buried the gravediggers installed a bell in the grave. This was in case you werent dead and just unconcious you would pull a chain to ring a bell on the surface, letting people know you were not dead. I remember reading about that in a book called "Inventions no one mentions." I was in, like, third grade, and it was a short book. Anyway, they also installed an air tube... Then it turned out that the tube was way too small in diameter, so they ultimately died of asphixiation anyway. Another one I thought of- has anyone seen the beginning of "Cube Zero?" *Shudders at the violence* The guy is sprayed with a chemical that essentially makes his skin like Elmer's brand glue in the sense that when you rub at it it turns into those little rolls that pop off. Gruesome, violent, and disgusting. The first Cube killed you in some bad ways, Hypercube sucked, and Cube Zero was horribly violent (In my opinion. Of course this is from a horror movie weenie)
