ZOMG Double post!!!!1 Righto: I'm finally contributing something to this thread rather than just ogling. Here are my first 'creations' in 3Ds Max 9, made possible by FIRST Robotics, AutoDesk, and Mad's helpful skyping keeping me sane throughout the whole... erm, most of... some of the process. My first creation: http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a169/DarthTofu/Imalittleteapot.jpg It's a teapot (Standard thing that's stored on the program) on top of a pillar that I made and turned into a single object through several deletions of faces and attachments. My second creation: http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a169/DarthTofu/Toaster.jpg It's a rather crappy toaster that I made. Yes, I know that I managed to mess up the back end of it, but the cutting process is rather screwy involving vertexes that are connected. It's all rather inane (Not insane, inane) and screwy in my opinion- like having a really sharp knife to cut stuff with, but you have to grasp it using your elbow to cut. *Wanders off grumbling about how, if AutoDesk already makes Inventor, they can't just use the same interface for making 3D objects in Max* Edit:www.personal.utulsa.edu/~austin-hines/beach.mov That's entirely 3D. There are some ridiculously awesome 3D images on Facebook groups that people made...
