  1. Okay, son. Give me the keys and get out of the AT-AT.
  2. I tried to take out the Imps on day 200 or something on a recent game. Jumped into Sesswenna on one of my two friendly planets, sabatoged one of their vics, blew up the other two they had defending it, and watched helplessly as the recently-conquered Sluis sector was ripped apart by something in the order of seven Carracks and a dreadnaught(sp? Tex will likely correct it if it's wrong). Corruscant had two GenCor I's and three LNR I's. Me: I think I'll bombard Coruscant and see if I can't destroy the defenses seeing as all of my characters (Including Han and Chewie, excluding Luke) who get sent in either die or get captured trying to take out targets. *Saves game and conducts bombardment* Casualty rates: You lost three escort carriers and eighteen squadrons of fighters/bombers. Coruscant suffered no damage. Me: Load saved game! Load saved game! Finally managed to take it when I sent in a good four or five Mon Cal Cruisers and four or five liberators, all loaded with B wings to blast Coruscant. Wound up killing the seven Carracks and the dreadnaught as well. Lost three ships during the bombardment (One Correlian Corvette, one escort carrier, one Liberator)
  3. For some reason the site only loads at a decent rate of speed for me when I use the firefox computer at my house. Granted, the correlation is more likely between the fact that this compy has a direct hookup to the internet while the other one has a wireless... Note to self: Reinstall the wired connection to make the site actually load!
  4. Wow, Tex... Wow.
  5. *Gapes in awe* I'll have some spare time soon, I think. I'll sketch up some images and scan them, or else use paint to produce them. I'd engineer rough sketches in Max, but I don't have the skillz to do so. Speaking of which, I should really run off and download a tutorial some time soon.
  6. Gee, thanks Mad ... I think I thought of myself more as Doc Hudson though (or maybe even FRED, that really, really, really rusty car whose front bumper always falls off ) Did anyone else catch the "Easter Egg" of the popular NPR brothers who do the show "Cartalk" voicing a pair of minor car characters in the movie? I liked that, primarily because I think cartalk is one of the best shows on NPR. (Prarie Home Companion comes up rather high as well. Yes, I am one of the very few "young'ins" who enjoys NPR more than, say, poorly sung rap.)
  7. Odd. I always keep most of my diplomats together and send them off in teams of two. They never fail to get a skill increase, they almost always diplomacise faster, and it's always in more substantial incraments (sp?) than when I send them alone. Go figure.
  8. I don't mind that they practice their religion their way, BUT anything that they think must be enforced on others against their will really rubs me the wrong way I don't think the word "tolerant" exists in their (religious) world I'm sure there are some very good, moderate Islams out there. If Christianity were judged based on the Ku Klux Klan and extremists who have chopped off their children's hands in what they claim to be the name of God Christianity would get a horrible reputation as well. While Islam has a larger history of violence that is not to say that its followers as a whole are violent.
  9. Holy hell, he does exist! I always though the_mask was just a legend!
  10. I'd think you people would find a way to Combine everything into one portable, easy-to-carry item. I air soft... That doesn't really count as martial arts, does it?
  11. You do realize that it's the same pic, right?
  12. Ditto. Me: GYAH! What the hell is that gray thing? And why do we have R2 on the site, now? And what is everyone complaining about with blueness in this thread? And why does the banner obscure who I assume is Han? And, and, and, and.... Alright new design, I guess. I'm not crazy about it, but then again, I don't particularly care for change under most circumstances, so my opinion is almost worth negative points if it says that you did a good job. It looks professional, at any rate. Congrats, L.
  13. Impressive... Even if he did really die at the end. Fun Oblivion stuff.
  14. Nice sword... Too bad it isn't a lightsaber, though.
  15. I didn't particularly care for it, but differant stuff for differant folks, I suppose. I kinda want to see Epic Movie. I think I posted the trailer in the Randomness thread.
  16. Wow... I have to check out that vid to try and beat the game very, very quickly...
  17. Precision? Gah! I can't just make broad, pompous, order-like requests of you people and have them filled in exquisate detail? *Sigh* Alright, then, first thing's first, I suppose. How do I make a background and how do I make it look nice and dreary? I'll want something blackish-brown with a fair amount of very dark clouds if that's possible. Maybe even lightning- could I do that with a splin-atized lightning-like-shape with interior lighting throughout? Just guess work, there. I still haven't learned to do spline stuff, yet. I'll be checking some tutorials on those out, soon.
  18. It's all brotherly love, Eagle. I suppose the one thing that really annoyed me was the way the Ewoks managed to trip the chicken walkers with a bunch of logs and stuff. My idea of a better ending: The fleet sends in reenforcements and they come flying down with airspeeders or something and attack the chicken walkers. Or better yet, a couple of squadrons of fighters! That would have been great, too. Granted, they probably really couldn't be spared to much, but they'd most likely have a higher rate of survival if they were in the atmosphere rather than out in the middle of the fight...
  19. Swiss-man! Australian-man! Read this and tell me all about how to do the things that will probably be necessary to make the doomsday option! ... Assuming you have time, of course. February 16th... That isn't much time. Though on the upside that site has some tutorials available. I suppose I should get around to watching them.
  20. Link for everyone who doesn't feel like searching... I love how they describe Thrawn as an admiral when that's not all he can be, especially not when he was already a Grand Admiral...
  21. I remember that one- it was an insanely short time, primarily because the guy was rather cheap in my opinion. It was something in the ball park of nine minutes.
  22. I used to do that, but that was because I always afraid that the defending fleet would consist of eight SSDs and twelve interidctors, plus a Death Star and various other capital ships. Then I show up to maybe an SSD and two Imperial II Star Destroyers with an interdictor, two dreadnaughts (sp?), and maybe a couple of Caracks. It's always rather depressing when I have a truly massive fleet with which to crush them...
  23. Say, isn't that the same cartoonist who used to do Mad Magazine? (Yes, there is a magazine with your name, Mad. No, it is not named after you. Not unless you've lied to us all about your age, at any rate.)
  24. Somebody want to fill in the stuff on Multiplayer? I don't know how to get it to run... I figured I'd try sometime next week to get a game or two in... Just checking- can you modify a game (IE the stats on everything) and still have a multiplayer game if both people have the same mod in place?
  25. Where'd you get Apollo from? Was there ever an Apollo on SG-1 and, if so, did I miss it? Huh... Another name for you- Orion (The Ancient Warship's name in SG-A) I had fun with mine naming a huge number of SSDs after a favourite anime show of mine. I had a total of *thinks* eight SSDs running around, plus a Death Star on Coruscant. Hoo, yeah. Always good. Ever name your ships for body parts? I had the spine, the tail bone, the thumb, the pinky finger, the skull, the ankle, the spleen, the galbladder, the... Okay, fine, not really. But I think it would be rather fun to do.
