So I come on just now, post a topic, and all of a sudden the top of the site changes. I'm like "what the heck?!", did I mysteriously travel to a different site through a wormhole. But now I see that that assumption was incorrect. Kudos to whoever did this (I assume Evaders, but I seem to be on a bad run with my assumptions so I could be wrong again...)

I like it! But, at the same time I already miss the old SWR theme

WTB option to view the site like it used to be. This new look is just to... blue for me.

Background (the dark blue one) should be black. Other than that I must say I find it pretty cool.

Feel free to be more agressive on it it's beta anyway.

Yay! Well I love it! Neat and simple graphics with a fluffy Nogri Jedi thingy currently half obscured by a banner for quboom, and the colour scheme seems bright and friendly. Very Woo La-Forge!

 

EDIT: Can't the banner at the top of the page be shifted to the right, thus making our fluffy Nogri-Jedi obscured?

Hmm I don't see it being that extreme. There's a little more blue, but nothing fancy. The header uses more blue - the borders were blue anyway. Little else was changed except the left menu. All the content areas still remain the same.

Me: GYAH! What the hell is that gray thing? And why do we have R2 on the site, now? And what is everyone complaining about with blueness in this thread? And why does the banner obscure who I assume is Han? And, and, and, and....

 

Alright new design, I guess. I'm not crazy about it, but then again, I don't particularly care for change under most circumstances, so my opinion is almost worth negative points if it says that you did a good job.

We had a poll for it, and it was decided to be a fluffy jedi noghri guy.

It isn't a wookie (how did you come up with this) or a "gray thing". I have used comic book references to create him, so that's why he doesn't look like as they were in Rebellion (Reloaded will use a similar noghri appearance).

 

I still could place there an EWOK as revenge, if you want

I love ewoks, but it won't be that uniqe as this little guy. There were also attempts to write him a background story.

 

I'm not entirely satisfied with the logo however. If you don't like the droid (which is NOT an r2d2 unit) it could go. But let me have some ideas or sketchings then.

I don't recall a vote or poll on this. Was it between the SWR bigwigs only? But I do like it. It's unique.

Overall I like it, but am still getting "use" to it. The "header" is bigger than before, and the "logo & gray guy" kinda remind me of the Cartoon Network "Clone Wars" style. If this is going to be permanent LLF, make sure you check all possible page loadings (some of them looked messed up because the left side column is much longer than the loaded page. It looks like two different pages loading on top of each other. As an example go to the Main Page; click on OTHER, then click on GALLERY). Now that "blue" has been mentioned several times, I'm beginning to relate, but ... it still looks OK to me. And as J has mentioned: NO Ewoks ... please; keep our little Nogrhi friend (although, I never have read anywhere about Nogrhi being a Jedi ).

 

Keep up the good work to all of those involved!! I guess that means you LLF and any "helpers"
