Attention US/World Populace: Prepare To Run For Your Lives
DarthTex replied to Darth_Rob's topic in Outside Interests
What?? I'm sorry Eagle, I don't know where you get your facts, but you're completely wrong. The US economy has been growing yearly a good consistent 3-4% every year with "W" in office, AND unemployment has dropped to the lowest levels in quite a loooooonnng time (it got down into the 4.?% rate). I'm not sure where it's at now, but the US it quite better off with "W" than "Slick Willy" when it comes to the economy. Bush's "tax cuts" have stimulated the economy (as proven by JFK and Ronald Reagan), while reducing yearly deficits on the US national budget (getting closer to a "balanced" budget, but Congress is the purse string holders and wild spenders. The President recommends a budget, but Congress funds it). The US would be much better off getting rid of the IRS and income taxes all together, and going over to a "consumption tax". The price of consumer goods would only have a maximum change of maybe +/- 1-2%. For a thorough explanation, see http://www.fairtax.org. You'll be surprised at how well this would really work. As for Rob's original post: Hillary is the Anti-Christ! Doom! Doom! Doom! -
To think it was for rent!!! People wore this SACRED ROBE at stag do's whatever... It's too late now, but ... a devious person (had they the knowledge at the time) could have "rented" said cloak, then replaced it with "another"
-
Yeah, it was probably a bit over the top. But I wanted to post something of a memorable reminder to Def instead of the usual "Hey Def when you going to post again", which gets promptly forgotten
-
Uh Rob, isn't that statement contradictory for you?

(*** cough, cough ***) It was dark without much ambient light to clearly view much. A shadow passed by leaving a trail of dust devils in its wake. From the layers of dust covering everything, the area appeared to have been abandoned for several months. The target was no longer here. The probe droid checked its informational database on new probable locations. The next waypoint coordinates were laid in. A hyper-comm antenna was extended, dispatching a quick-burst status report. And then, it was on its way. ************************************ The computer chimed; an incoming message was just received. The figure pondered the transmitting ID code. A spark of recognition spread across its face, "Finally after several months of waiting. Now things will develop quickly". A slight smile crossed its face as it settled back in its chair. ************************************ The probe droid had traveled to a local communications tower with a utility building nearby. There was no problem defeating the security system of this facility and gaining access to the computers within. After successfully splicing into the local network; educational, financial and civilian databases were queried with information about the target. The list started in the hundreds and quickly shrank to dozens, then down again to just a handful. The final list would have to be checked via visual ID. After several hours of moving through the nearby metropolitan area, two of the names on the list have been removed. The third name contained a couple of possible locations, and the most probable was only minutes away. The search area appeared to be a nourishment facility. Only humans could be seen in and around the establishment. The optical cameras went to maximum zoom scanning all subjects and trying to get a match for the target. Several were near matches, but not positive ID's. The probe droid started to move to the next search location as another figure came from the back room of the establishment. Internal lights flashed and several programming files came to life; the target has been identified and located. The hyper-comm antenna snapped into place and a priority signal was sent. ************************************ Once again the computer chimed, but this time several lights flashed in unison declaring a priority signal. The figure immediately checked the message: the target has been found and its position has been located! The target was located at some kind of food establishment, with the name of A&W. Now there would be no more excuses. Defender_16 can no longer hide. His "Tales of the New Sith Order" will once again be posted and the story continued ... Right Def?

A man is talking to God ... [man] God, what is a billion years like to you? [God] Like a second. [man] God, what is a billion dollars like to you? [God] Like a penny. [man] God, can I have a penny? [God] In a second. God doesn't demand to be worshiped; he gave us free will. Muslims demand you worship Allah (God), and you better do it their way or by darn they'll freaking go cut your head off! And on another note, how reality copies fantasy: The Galactic Empire comes to Earth.

And I thought you meant a Yowie But Yowie's are primates If you find that in a lake lowered by drought, I bet it's not a pretty sight. And if you "throw it on the barbie" ... [insert barfing icon here] ...

2 Questions: Edit Savegames and how to see the AI is doing
DarthTex replied to Terran's topic in Rebellion Editing
If there is an editor for saved games, please let us (and me) know. That would definitely be worth a lot. As far as I know, no such critter exists As for the Spy/Traitor program, it allows you to "switch" sides (to see what the other side has, or is doing), but you can't actually play as the other side (bummer). I looked in the DOWNLOADS section and was unable to find it In the DOWNLOADS section it says there are 101 downloadable files in 7 categories, although only 6 categories are listed -
I'm using Micro$ith IE6, and this is what I get ... http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/5986/newscreenmesseduppy6.th.jpg "click" for a larger view.

I don't think it would be a good idea to cross compare categories, i.e. troops & ships. If you do work out some kind of "formula", do one for each category: troops, spec forces, facilities, fighters, capital ships, ... At least that way you're comparing apples to apples, and not apples to oranges (normally I would say cacti and tumbleweeds, but that usually only works with cowboys )

I'll "pray" for you too J God didn't create evil. Man excels at ignorance Just rambling ...

Ahhhh!!! my IQ! What? I don't get it, it's just a website about toy horses or something. (*** a co-worker mumbles something ***) What? Turn up your hearing aid Tex! Oh, OK ... Aaack! Good golly, I should have left it turned down
-
Over production puts a severe strain on resources and ETA's. Like mentioned already, lower the value. You could also lower ship construction time by editing the amount of resources and maintenance needed for you capital ships
-
Sorry JH, there's only one thing that I suck; but I don't want to get into the subject of a woman's body on a SW fan site I didn't know what a Yabbie was, but from the context of the story and Krytos remarks, I inferred correctly

Overall I like it, but am still getting "use" to it. The "header" is bigger than before, and the "logo & gray guy" kinda remind me of the Cartoon Network "Clone Wars" style. If this is going to be permanent LLF, make sure you check all possible page loadings (some of them looked messed up because the left side column is much longer than the loaded page. It looks like two different pages loading on top of each other. As an example go to the Main Page; click on OTHER, then click on GALLERY). Now that "blue" has been mentioned several times, I'm beginning to relate, but ... it still looks OK to me. And as J has mentioned: NO Ewoks ... please; keep our little Nogrhi friend (although, I never have read anywhere about Nogrhi being a Jedi ). Keep up the good work to all of those involved!! I guess that means you LLF and any "helpers"

Gee, thanks Mad ... I think I thought of myself more as Doc Hudson though (or maybe even FRED, that really, really, really rusty car whose front bumper always falls off )
-
I don't mind that they practice their religion their way, BUT anything that they think must be enforced on others against their will really rubs me the wrong way I don't think the word "tolerant" exists in their (religious) world
-
I prefer "Wang Chung" I think Mad is preparing for Thunder Dome
-
Any details you're willing to share with the rest of us, or were you just lucky?
-
Great pic J! Darn, I thought you took the pic yourself Is that your hand or somebody else's? Do my old eyes deceive me or is that a mutant three handed specimen?
-
Happiness to your "inner child" Mad! I quite enjoyed it myself. It has that "young whipper-snapper know-it-all learns from the old vet" thing going Plus I liked that scenery ... happy trails
-
Excellent work Terran! Just one question (because I'm curious and a stickler for details): How do you squeeze four stormtroopers on an ISD that is supposedly only able to carry three? Okay, I have some more follow on questions. If you do get four stormtroopers at startup on the ISD, if you move the fourth troop to the system, can it go back to the fleet? (meaning, will the max 3 troop limit be enforced, or will that ship or that class of ship now be able to carry 4 troops for the rest of the game?). What do you do (and where) to change the "fighter" types (from Ties to whatever)? Keep up the good work!!

DarthTex replied to generik's topic in General Discussion
Thanks JH Wow! Maybe that's the picture of Han after he picked himself off the floor from under the table at the catina Yee Haw! Rebellion is available again! Maybe LucasArts is seeing a renewed interest from fans for this classic and might be considering ... updating it with a more enhanced version? I can only hope
