  1. I don't think the Empire has any morals Tofu. They are "an Evil Empire", you know? Now, if you mean morale (the popular support of the people), then Imperial morale will drop when you take Corsucant, but will go back up if you abandon the planet (playing as the Rebels and abandoning Coruscant); thus negating any real change in galatic or sector support. Although the "amounts" of support that change back and forth won't be constant and depends on a wide variety of factors. So, I don't really think that's a real bulletproof plan you got there It would definitely be interesting to try though
  2. Do we get a "sneak peak" of said pic J? Any idea what issue it will be in? That way I know when my NG issue arrives, to tear into it (not literally of course ) Oh, and will you get "credit" for said pic? Congrats!!
  3. That was funny. Now for something hilarious, go watch The Life of Brian
  4. I don´t like the new song and the animated singers also these background-singers. But, Tex, you haven´t told what you´d disliked. Animated? I must have the original version (it's on VHS) where they're all "puppets" like Yoda OT OK, my dislikes ... hmmm ... man, there's so many ... OK, got it: 1) The prequels (all three, although there were some things I did like in them, namely: Sidious, Darth Maul, Qui-gon, young Obi-wan, Mace, and most of the other Jedi; everything else was ... nevermind). 2) Not enough character development for Boba Fett in the OT (original trilogy). 3) Ben & Vader's lightsaber fight should have been more "Hollywood melodramatic" in ANH (and I hate that title "A New Hope". When I saw the movie it was STAR WARS, period. And that's how I remember the first movie). 4) I wanted to see more Imperial retaliation in the ESB. 5) No Ewoks! I'm talking about the original Original Trilogy, not the SE crap.
  5. What's wrong with the Max Rebo band? They were definitely better than the catina "house band" from the original movie! What have you got against Shaak Ti? She's "nice" on my eyes The other "yoda-like dwarf-Jedi" was Yaddle. OK, she was a stretch and not necessary. I liked the French accent, you stupid knnnnnniget. Now, go away or I will taunt you a second time! (just a quote mind you )
  6. Well, luckily there's a two term limit (now). But the possibility of being in the White House a second time (as "First Man-Lady") makes me feel nauseated (darn I can't find that "barfing" icon ... We need more icons!! ) Maybe this was the focal point in time where "man" needed to have a little more say and control over themselves than someone else (that castle skit from Monty Python and The Holy Grail just jumps in my head: "'King'? We didn't elect no 'King'. Help! I'm being oppressed!" Meaning someone "elected" rather than "born" into the leadership role)?
  7. What are the new ships and battlestation, and the stats? Which ships are shared by both sides? What are the fighter, army and spec force units (I'm assuming they all changed)? Are there any changes to facilities? And what are the changes to the character slots for each side? That should be enough for now ...
  8. I did average 9 / 20 Who remembers all of that crap anyway?
  9. Just my two bits worth ... the guy is a blowhard; contributing nothing but "hot air" and only wanting to hear himself talk to be important If you're going to argue a point, you have to have ALL of the facts (meaning not just the movies, but also any books, appendices, extracts, etc. pertinent to the subject; and authentic ). For the most part, I believe all of his starting premises are incorrect, meaning all of his arguments have weak foundations and shoddy supports. He couldn't be more wrong on everything he wrote
  10. Without a more thorough research of the subject, I can only remember mostly the grade school version of American history, which doesn't leave much to study All I can say is that is was very cold at Valley Forge. Brrrrrrrr But seriously, I only know the standard "grade school version" which means I vote "Yea"
  11. Take a look here: The Worst SW Novel Awards!!! at what to avoid
  12. How about this? Just a suggestion. You'll have to dig through the list though to find it
  13. Well, if you want to terrorize an entire galaxy, it's pretty hard to do with just one DS Eventually, a number of systems could revolt simultaneously which would mean long periods of traveling across the galaxy just to get to the systems. Maybe even have an ambush set at one of them? Say a revolt starts on one side of the galaxy and by the time the DS arrives the systems surrenders (or gets destroyed, which is bad for public PR; and support in Rebellion). Then another system revolts on the opposite side of the galaxy; and this keeps repeating. The DS will be spending the majority of its time in hyperspace. Eventually somewhere, somehow, somebody is going to figure out a way to "neutralize" the DS. So, have at least two. Who knows, maybe there were even more under construction elsewhere? The galaxy is an awfully big place ...
  14. After seeing your "party supply" pics and your banned partying pic, ... I think we have a good idea
  15. In the Ma-Made category; my Ma makes the best darn Bar-B-Q ever. She starts by slow roasting a nice juicey chuck roast, then shredding the meat when it's done. In the meantime, she's got all the ingredients for the sauce on the stove simmering away (with an occasional stir here and there). When it's time, mix the sauce and meat. Dig in! Hmmm, hmmm good! I'm sure everybody has at least one good item from the Ma-made category What's yours?
  16. Just for the record: I was NOT complaining and NOT offended by Mad's post. Also, I apologize for my poor joke at Mad's expense if anyone was upset.
  17. (** forwards Mad's picture and location to the local Swiss Imperial JAG commander **) Some advice Mad; "Never post incriminating pictures on the internet!" If that's a standard size "smoke" Mad, you must be "small" and getting "smaller"
  18. Saddam's Half Brother, Top Aide Hanged (From page 6 of this very thread) Don't say I didn't warn you Although Saddam's hanging went per plan; his half-brothers only worked ... half way
  19. Quote from Quigley Down Under: Elliott Marston: [O'Flynn and Dobkin prepare Quigley for an old-fashioned duel] I seem to remember you're not too familiar with Colonel Colt's revolver, so this will be your first lesson. Don't worry. Mr Dobkin and Mr. O'Flynn will ensure that it's a fair contest. Elliott Marston: [Marston starts walking backwards] I'll just back up a few paces... And to your left a bit, that's it... Now you're right in front of my old pistol target. Elliott Marston: [Marston slips his coat back to reveal his holster] Some men are born in the wrong century. I think I was born on the wrong continent. Oh, by the way, you're fired Matthew Quigley: This ain't Dodge City. And you ain't Bill Hickok. Matthew Quigley: [Quigley shoots Dobkin, O'Flynn and Marston before they can even aim their guns, then walks up to a dying Marston] I said I never had much use for one. Never said I didn't know how to use it. Actually that's too modern for me to remember
  20. Well, I think others pretty well covered them all, but I would like to add ... gunslinging YEE HAW! Have you ever seen the movie Quigley Down Under? There's a good line at the end of the movie, I think it would apply here nicely
  21. What?! Thanks for spoiling the ending (of the movie) for the rest of us! I bet you're the type who reads the last page of a book first, just to know what's going to happen . Just kidding JH I (at least) wasn't going to see that movie anyway. I don't go to the "talking moving pictures" that much any more. My snoring bothers the other movie goers
  22. You're not the only one! I was actually a fan before the movie premiered in 1977. OK, let me explain (don't go off the deep end Tofu ); well, I read some advanced promotional material put out earlier in the year and was quite fascinated by it all (it came out a couple of months before the movie).
  23. Hey ATA, long time no see ... no hear ... not seeing you logged in and posting (Yeah, that's the ticket!) A new computer for 2007; Alright! I'm guessing you should "install" the original Star Wars Rebellion, and then copy your modified files into the correct directory locations. There's probably something in the install that RedEd is keying off of to run, and if you just "copy" files then it can't find some file buried in the system guts. I'm just guessing, but that's my two bits worth Hopefully we'll see you around more often?
  24. I feel like I just got swindled; hood winked; bamboozled Well, go see the 1955 Kirk Douglas movie Ulysses anyway! and on a random note ... U.S. Warns About Canadian Spy Coins
  25. I noticed I may have to visit the library again soon The 1955 movie with Kirk Douglas was most awesome
