The United States keeps nuclear weapons as a deterrent. I have no problem with the US having nuclear arms, and also agree with them wanting to keep other nations from having them. The U.S. has nukes, but would never use them to initiate a war or what-not. Like I said, they are basicly a deterrent to other nations. Some other nations may not view nuclear weapons in that light, and that is what scares me.

It was the new episode from Sunday. I must say, being the great Simpsons fan I am, I have been pleased with this season so far. For those of you who want to know, this episode was season 18, episode 3.

A game on the Thrawn trilogy would be pretty sweet.

The only way the police would respond to such a letter is if it was "threatening" to school personnel in some way. Though I have no idea what happened, so...I don't know.

That wasn't in this movie. I think that was the first one. Though lets just say in this one they substitued the mouse trap for a snake...

I definetly wouldn't recommend it. I never watched the show, and my gf made me watch the first one 2 years ago, so when this one was out we just had to see it. I would tell all the grossest part, but I fear that it is too wrong for this site.

I always laughed at the idea of "an eye for an eye" for one particular reason. What if the crime is rape. Do you rape the rapist? Murderers definetly deserve to die. Though I don't agree with the method of execution being popularly used today. The states have been leaning on leathal injection as the form of execution, since it is seen as the least cruel and painful, but now some weirdos are saying that it might be painful and we just dont know. So now the prisoner is given a shot to numb any pain, and then the fatal injection. That is just ridiculous. I say stick to the firing squad. It's quick cheap and effective.

I felt it was more Star Wars related than random outsides. And I am so mad at myself because I haven't been able to think of any in the last couple of days.

I was just curious to hear everyone's views on capital punishment. We were debating it in my gov. class yesterday. I for one am for it, so long as the offense is a capital crime.

Just wanted to warn you all that Jackass II is pretty damn gross. Several times me (and most of the theatre from the sound of it) were on the verge of vomit. Much worse than the first movie.

@ Tofu: I wasn't referring to Tex's imperial walker. The gray matter above his face that is supposed to be his beard. It comes out at such an angle, that it looks like Garidan's nose.

I was wondering what that grey matter was protruding from Tex. It thought for some reason Tofu made Tex look like Garidan (the Imperial informant in ANH).

I was in class yesterday and there were these two older "students" in front of me. I'd estimate at late 30's-early 40's. Both women. Anyways, they were discussing (for some odd reason) which horror "monsters" freaked them out. And they started arguing over whether the monster in Friday the 13th was Freddy or Chuckie. Then the one said, "no wait. It's Jason". And the other one replied, "no Jason is the one in Elm Street". That was when I slammed my head onto the desk repeatedly, seeking the bliss of unconciousness...

I have that 20Q game, and its amazing. It guessed everyday stuff to Spider-Man and Sasquatch. Simply amazing.

I played Urban Dead for a bit, then quit it. As for me, I would definetly have to raid a sporting goods dealer and stock up on ammo and guns. I would also bring one of my swords in case there are any "close encounters". Then I think I would hunt them, rather than wait for them to come to me. I would drive through town, stealing a new car as gas ran out or the car was damaged or whatever. Just stop the car, shoot em all up, and then drive on. It would be real nice if I could get my hands on a flamethrower, because that would mess the zombies up!

The Cloud City battle is alright. It's just a pain when Vader jumps to a ledge, and you have to wait for R2 to set the trap under him so he jumps down again. Another disappointment is that you don't face Darth Vader as Obi-Wan in ANH. Actually, now that I'm thinking back on it, there are a few disappointments continuity-wise. Another example is that in ROJ, with Jabba's Palace, everyone goes in at once (Luke, Leia as Bousch, Chewie) to rescue Han. A couple of other liberties the game takes to speed the story along, I guess.

As for the no Luke/ Vader battle. I was referring to the duel they had over Endor. You do not play that duel. You do face Vader in Cloud City, but with help. The game is designed for at least 2 player onscreen at all times. Whether its your buddy or the AI, there are always 2. Hence, when you battle Vader in Cloud City, you play as Luke, but there is a second player (either AI or friend) playing as R2-D2. Basicly Vader jumps around and lands on "traps", that R2 can set off to harm Vader. As for the Luke/Vader battle in ROJ. Doesnt happen. Vader brings Luke into the throne room, and Palpy immediatly begins to fry Luke. Vader says no way, and then Luke and Vader team up to face Palpy. That was probably the games only disappointment, to me. And yes, when Chewie gets close enough to people, he can rip their arms off instead of firing his bowcaster.
