Alright, so I was at my gfs house the other day. I was flicking through the channels and found G4 (the gamers channel) on demand. One of the programs was a history of Star Wars video games. Of course I was sold! So they start talking about all the NES and SNES games, and eventually X-Wing and TIE Fighter. Then they say "and then LucasArts made a few terrible games" or something to that affect. They then mentioned Rebellion, saying it was a terrible game and yada yada yada. I was sooo pissed off! I couldn't believe that they would berate my favorite Star Wars video game!!! They then went on to praise Galaxies, and I just shook my head in sorrow.

I think one the the reasons the Empire had TIEs was that they were cheap. All of the Rebel starfighters were equipped with shields and a hyperdrive. But the TIEs had none of that. They were cheaper, and could be mass-produced. That was the advantage the Empire had- it outnumbered the Rebels in dogfights.

Im actually planning on watching this year. I never really cared much for it before, but I really want to watch the hockey, seeing how the NHL players are in this year. Should be interesting.

I agree. I have no idea what Tofu is babbling about. Had he said "squid" or "shark" or even "urchin" it would have made a bit of sense. But armidillo?

I believe there may be other solar systems and galaxies beyond our own, that modern-day science has not been able to discover as of yet. But they will, in due time.

That is a very good point Scath. They could be right here, right now, under our noses, and we wouldn't know any better. Maybe they can disguise themselves as anything. Maybe they can become invisible to the human eye. Or maybe some fauna or flora species on Earth are really from another planet. And then again, if there is other life on other planets, what's to say that they have intelligence? There can be a planet out there loaded with nothing but bacteria and paramecium and whatnot. I still do believe that there are other planets in the universe that have life thriving on them. It's just a matter of waiting to see if we get there first, or if they come here. But regardless of it all, we will find proof of other life. Then, and only then, will there be peace on Earth, as everyone ceases to see themselves as "caucasian", "Spanish", and "Jewish", and understands that we are all just human (or Earthling, if you prefer).

I had trouble installing RebEd when I first came to the site, but it ended up that my prob was that i didn't have the full install of Rebellion. That's probably the ticket. I change a lot of characters. I throw in Tarkin, Dooku, Fett, Jade, Katarn, and Yoda (and ALF, which some one made a card for and I found purely hilarious). I also buff up Palpy, making him capable of training, and higher combat skills. I give Mothma and Leia more diplomacy. I tend to keep everything else the same. I added some extra troops and whatnot to Coruscant. I increase espionage of Bothan Spy, and the combat and espionage of the Noghri. I give the Rebs a boost by buffing up their fighters. That's about it. I occasionally tweek production costs for ships and troops and whatnot.

But what's the point of being hidden? It's not like i log on here and say, "hey! there's Evaders!!! HEY EVADERS!!! I CAN SEE YOUUUUU!!!!!!!!". Though I must confess, if I see Tofu on here, I say "oh %&*#" and try to hide. Wait a minute. I just answered my own question. A hidden user is someone hiding from Tofu!!!

I was just thinking. Have you ever driven on a highway, going on an overpass? As you drive on it, it sounds as if a squad of TIEs are coming at you. And I noticed this many different times. I wonder if Lucas heard this noise and thought it was cool and decided to make TIE Fighters emit that noise as they streaked across space.

That was some pretty great stuff. I liked the one about getting to Hawaii via train.

I only played Dark Forces 2 online, and I used Directx. Never played anything else online.

The few times I played as the Rebs I never had the AI build one.
