  1. Well, I had to take quite a few classes outside the US. I was gonna take one on the history of Canada, but I saw the professor who was teaching it and decided to pass (the guy is a true nut-ball). I really wanted to take one they had on the indiginous peoples of Latin America before the Conquistodors came, but that was a night class, and I unfortunatly work nights. There was one on Japan, but also at nights. Everything else was scary. So I said "Napoleon shouldn't be so bad, GOSH!" And with the minor in mass communications, instead of writing papers and taking tests, I do group and solo projects a lot! So that will take a load off with my history classes.
  2. They are up here in large numbers apparently. I remember this one time when I was probably 7 or 8, and we were up here at the family vacation home. Those Witnesses walked up our "hidden driveway" which is pretty long and you can't even see the house from the road cause it's hidden behind trees and such. My uncle went nuts. He was a grumpy old senile man, and he drove them off cursing them. It was pretty funny. And then I had them come up here once while I was at the school. I see them wandering the town also, hoping to find someone who will listen to them.
  3. That's how he's always looked...
  4. Its sorta like the art of the electric chair. It didn't always work, espicially if someone "forgot" to use the wet sponge. Then that would be quite a painful and unpleasant death. But Saddam got what was coming to him. I don't mean to sound brutal or barbaric, but I prefer to see him hanged than to be given a lethal injection.
  5. The minor in mass communications will help me to do what SOCL said. I'll read and write. But it will also allow me to possibly get some work on documentaries and other stuff of that nature. The mass communications courses are the likes of video editing, there are like three classes on filming, that kinda stuff. Anywho, figured out my courseload for next semester: Writing for Radio, TV, and Film The French Revolution and Napoleon Understanding Mass Communication Comparitive and International Politics The US Since WWII
  6. Am I the only one who gets pestered by Jehova Witnesses???
  7. Well in actuality, I'll be done sooner with this new major than if I had stayed in education. I hadn't even started any education classes yet because that particular major required me to get "core classes" out of the way first. So I would have still had to take several more history classes, all of the required education classes, and then there's the student teaching. But I took 3 of my history courses this semester, so I'm a good chunk down the road. I should be done in 2 years (this is my junior semester, so I should be done on time).
  8. I was majoring in Adolescent Education with a concentration in social studies. But I've been having second thoughts about it over the last few weeks. I wasn't able to see myself as a teacher anymore. So, after much deliberation and whatnot, I've decided to change my major. Rather than study to be a teacher, I am now officially majoring in history (concentration in American history), with a minor in mass communications. This will allow me to do much more interesting work. As a teacher, I teach the class what I have to teach, and what New York State deems is worthy of a child's knowledge. With this new degree, I can work with any aspect of history I want at the time, whether it be a documentary on the Civil War, or a journal article on Classical Greece. My career will thus be very diversified, and I will constantly be doing something new.
  9. Hmmm....
  10. Jehova's was the one I was thinking of! Man, there are a lot of them up here. You can see them wandering the town almost every day, trying to convert people to their ways. I'm sorry, but that religion is just a tad bit pushy in my opinion.
  11. PROOF!!!!!!!
  12. I miss you
  13. I think J actually works undercover for Marlboro. J- How can we get more people to start smoking? Random corporate big-wig- Animals are cool. If people see animals smoke, they will too J- Execellent idea
  14. I would love to have that to scare off the...oh man, I forgot what they're called. The preachy religion who's members go door-to-door here in the states. I can't believe I forgot them. They just came to my apartment like a month ago too. SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. My game of choice right now is Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Kicks ass to have such a huge comic crossover game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. All I can say is that that is so awesome!
  18. So today my Oceanography prof. was talking about how the gravitational pull of the moon and sun affect the ocean tides. So he draws a circle on the board (to represent Earth) and labels it urth. He then turns around and says "I was never good at spelling", and proceeds to bestow his knowledge of the ocean's mysteries upon us.
  19. The idea of the Loch Ness monster is ridiculous! At least Sasquatch is plausable, since the environment it lives in (secluded forests/mountain ranges) leads to a slight possibility to its existence. But Loch Ness is a lake. It's not like it's miles deep (its actually about 750ft deep) like the ocean. It is impossible I say!
  20. I love my gmail!!!!!
  21. Well, this one is about my U.S. Government professor. Today she said that the President of the US does not downsize the American beuracracy (sp) because it's the least sexy aspect of the job. I didn't quite get that comment.
  22. The eventual Mr. and Mrs. Darth Rob. Though I don't think she'd like being referred to as Mrs. Darth Rob...
  23. Funny stuff
  24. Hey kids...It's Jay and Silent Bob!
  25. The Loch Ness monster can camoflauge itself to appear to be the same color as the water. Thats why it's so hard to see.
