Rantar listened to every word the jedi spoke. He listened carfeully, and hated himself for being so angry. The facts slowly settled in his mind, and what he needed to do was obvious. These Vorei were not only a menace to the planet Mouvian, though to the rest of the galaxy. And if scouts were at his planet, they needed to be stopepd before the attack came. "If these things threaten my planet, my PEOPLE, then I'm going to help destroy them. I'm no Jedi, though that hasn't stopped me before." Checking everyone's face, to make sure there were not objections, he continued. "And, I'm not about to stay on a space ship while you Jedi go have all the fun. If these creatures are as bad as you say, you're going to need help, and I'm going to give it whether you like it or not." He could see his comments hit the nerve of one of the two Jedi. Not Barkoa though, his face was as plain as ever - it was almost as if nothing had happened. Rantar sat down and waited for the Jedi's verdict.

IC: Karn finished planting his last tracking device. He knew he'd finished before the others because after sneaking around for ten minutes, he hadn't seen a single sign of life in the building except for him his friends. Karn slipped one of the tracking devices into his pocket hidden inside his jacket. "This could be useful," he said out loud. Slowly sneaking back to where the trio had infiltrated the medical facility, Karn tried to spot either Sib or Afton - though he couldn't see either of them. He was hoping it was because it was both dark and that they were sneaking around. Karn sat down and rested his eyes, it had been a long day already. With a silent sigh, Karn secretly wished he was back on the bridge of his starship with his crew smuggling weapons for the Alliance, like old times. A smile drew across his face as he remembered the good old days of running from Imperial custom ships, fending off pirates . . . His thoughts were snapped back to the present as a sound emerged from the roof. Staring up, Karn heard it again - a sort of metal on ferrocrete sound. Pulling his gun from his holster, he tried to warn the others as quitely as possible. "Guys, we've got company!" OOC: Left this one open for ADarkJedi44 to bring in the troops and to reveal a traitor in the Resistance on planet

IC: Rantar swollowed the pill in his hand and the pain that engulfed his body began to ease. Until now, he hadn't realised how much pain he was in - the medical ward must have had him on some pretty strong medication. He was now in the Jedi's ship, flying away from his new planet when it needed him most. Anger towards the Jedi began building up, why did they take him along with them? Shaking his head, he cleared his mind - no, they saved my life. Those creatures would have killed me if they were't there, if I had stayed . . . Ranter stopepd thinking about it, what was done was done. When they stop, he would get the Jedi to drop him back off at the cammand centre. Rantar began walking towards the main hold on the ship, were the Jedi were. He stumbled along the halls, his legs weren't working right because of the medication. Suddenly the ship jolted as it jumped to hyperspace. "What!" Rantar yelled. They were leaving his planet! The two jedi ran past him to the cockpit, and Rantar followed as fast as he could. When he got there, he could see that the captain had already breifed the Jedi. "What's going on?" Barkoa, calmly, responded. "We recieved a distress call, and we can't ignor it. We're on our way there now." Rantar now getting annoyed continued probing. "Where are you taking us?"

Karn watched as the droid brought up blue prints to the medical facility. It quickly pin-pointed an access shaft on the building. The access shaft was high up on the side of the building - though didn't look like it would be to hard to get to. Simply climb up the adjacent building and jump 5 metres across to the facility, open a welded hatch and then enter. Simple - all they needed now was a cutting torch and a safety net incase anyone fell. "So, who get's to go first?" Karn asked with a smirk. He got a smile back from Sib, who ran into the adjacent building. In under a minute she was on the roof and leaping over to the medical facility. Now she was hanging over the edge with a small object in her hand - a cutting torch. Laughing out loud, Karn joked to Afton, "useful, isn't she!" Karn knew it wasn't funny, though he felt a shiver down his spine when Afton simply stared back at him. "Ok, I'm next" Karn ran up the stares to the top of the roof and lept over the 5 metre gap between the buildings. Quickly turning to call Afton, he couldn't hide his surprise as she made the jump by herself without any help or hesitation. Sib had already entered the builiding, so Karn and Afton followed. *** The inside of the building was dark, from what Karn could see there was little lighting. Sib turned to him and the girl ands handed out small packs of tracking devices. Without a word the three spread apart from each other on a hunt for the bacta tanks.

Wow, that was one huge fleet!!! Congrats on kicking the butts of two enemies at once, even if it was an Imperial victory! !

Rantar sat upright in the medical ward bed. The Jedi Barkoa was talking quitely to the girl that had come into the room with him - from what he gethered her name was Afton, and the Jedi seemed to be setting ground rules for working with him. Rantar really didn't care, right now he was trying to figure out who was behind the bomb blast and more importantly why it happened? Why was any of this uprising happening? Given, the Vathinor had never been very fair, though that was because this was a colony world and was still, relatively speaking, in its infancy and required its people to make sacrifces in comfort. All people living on the planet knew this, so why were there people rebelling . . . His thoughts trailed off as another Jedi and what appeared to be a Republic captain ran into the room. The new Jedi spoke first, "I think we have a problem - Captain Mirkon says that he saw a Vorei." Rantar just stared at the Jedi. Vorei, I've heard that name before - but where? His head was sore, and his mind throbbing - trying to remember where he heard this name wasn't going to help. "What's a Vorei?" He asked.

The XJ X-Wing, apart from upgraded lasers, also has a third torp launcher with an additional torpedo that allows it to dish out a lot more damage in a shorter peroid of time. It is also faster - the same speed as an E-Wing. Personally, I build E-Wings for anti-fighter stuff and use XJ X-Wings to back them up and to engage capitals ~ until the K-Wing coems along that is

Great trailor! So I guess it's safe to say that's based around Thrawn and the New Republic Looks great, and I'll also take a guess (based on the number of pics to do with ground warefare) that you've done something to spruse up ground combat? Or added more ground units?

New version came out yesterday * crowd cheers *

Rantar opened his eyes again, expecting to be surrounded by the white walls of a hospital - rather he was still lying on the ground where he was when the bomb exploded. Now, though, he had a medical patch on his chest to deal with the injurry and a bandage around his head. Propping himself up again, he couldn't help but feel déjà vu. This time though, he walked over to ambulance and gabbed a small medikit and headed off to help as much as he could. From what he could tell, there were to many injurred, and not enough to help. *** "I'm fine, really. It's just a bump on the head and a bit of shrapnel," Rantar said to the attending nurse. After helping out at the bomb scene, he'd been taken back to the hospital for observation. Ever since then, he'd been trying to leave. "Mr. Fell would you stop insisting to leave, you're under doctor's orders to stay the night for observations. Besides, you have vistitors." As she finished speaking, a large male Twi'lek moved through the door. He always got glares - after all how many Security divisions for an entire planet were controlled by a Twi'lek? "I'll make this short Fell, I've got a huge briefing in a moment with the governor. The peace keepers have arrived on planet as of 15 minutes ago. And two of them are waiting outside to speak to you." As Rantar's CO finished, two cloaked figures walked through the door way of the room, one human - the other he couldn't tell from were he was. His Captain stood, nodded to Rantar and the two figures and left. Struggling to raise himself now, due to the medication, Rantar spoke first. "So, what do you want to know?"

The only multiplayer game that I've played was that one, which required someone to be a host and the other to directly connect to them (I havn't tried gamespy). And in skirmishes (you vs. computer) you can save a game at any time you want, just go to the menu and save. Then you can reload. Sorry to hear about your game crashing without saving, I hate that - I just had that happen litteraly 5 minutes ago as I was trying version 0.30. Hopefully from now on, you wont run into the same problem because you can save

Sorry to hear that Cain - I, too, wish that people like that would grow up - virus makes, spyware makers and viscous hackers (got nothing against them if they don't do damage). Can't they see all they're doing is annoying people, some people's entire life's work can get destroyed because of these fools - I'd like to use harsher language to describe these SOBs I have no sympathy for those people. And like most, I've had virus' screw up things at home - killed a hard drive of mine with my Year 12 notes on it the night before the physics exam, my brother lost months of programming to the same virus. Definetaly get a firewall - I've got one built into our family router, and after the first day of getting it, we looked at the log on the firewall - over 80 people tried probing through the firewall, in one night! Since then I've only gotten spyware. I just got Norton!!! Ummm, what anti-virus program do you suggest geting, I use to use VET - until they were bought out and went down hill - so I'm out of good anti-virus programs . Oh, and the_mask - great website, though the link you gave has a comma after it (incase anyone was wondering why it didn't work )

IC: Lying on his back, Rantar stared up towards the heavens. The stars were perfectly visable in the night, only an orange glow broke through the clear sky. The sounds, that had been absent for some time, slowly came back. First the distant sound of a fire crackling. As the sound's grew, he heard a lady mumbling over to his left. The sounds continued to grow and so did the number of voices he heard, though now they weren't mumbles - they were screams of pain and terror. The horrible truth burst back into Rantar's mind as he remembered the bomb in the hover sled exploding. Placing a trembling hand to the ground, he slowly lifted himself up right. Staring at his chest, he saw his Vathinor Security patch was torn, and a faint trickle of blood was coming out from the hole there. Looking around, Rantar could only see the destruction the blast caused. People lay on the streets, some moving - some not, lots of people were running down the street trying to see if they could help. Rantar quickly pulled out his comm-link and began talking. "This is Lieutenant Rantar Fell," he caughed out as he spoke. "I'm at the corner of Portual St. and Racen St. There has been a bomb explosion, and I need medical assistance for wounded." A reply came back over the unit, though he didn't hear it. Rantar fell backwards as he noticed the blood coming from his head. As he fell unconscience, his was asking himself when will this end?. Flashing lights came next and the voice of an medical officer telling him that he'll be alright. OOC: I've tried to set up the crisis on Vathinor to be a sort of rebellion on planet - though you can change it if you want. I guess from here, the Jedi can interview me (Rantar) about the explosion and I can join on their crusade to stop the termoil on planet

"Hmm, sit around and wonder how to make past an Imperial blockade to my ship . . . or, sneak into a medical facility, tag some bacta, rescue someone and battle the Empire, " Karn said with an obvious hint of sarcasm. "Choices, choices - well, I think I'll go help you guys out."

This story, a fill in until I start playing 0.30 and get some stories, is of my first real defeat *sniff* I told a friend about the mod and got him to play it (0.28 ). It took him over a week to try it and he reckoned it was too hard to play (user interface). So I decide to try the game multiplayer, to give him a tutorial against an AI opponent with my help. We both go Alliance, as I'm use to them more than the Empire. It starts off really slow, with me continually telling him how to do different things in the game from builing to moving a ship (and I thought that was what tutorials were for ). I decided to keep the enemy, Imperials, at bay until my friend was ready - so I placed a Longprobe near the base to keep an eye on things (no Ferret in that version ) I was attempting to tell my friend what ships to build, MC 80s, 90s and DSDs with support units etc. He built for the first half hour 5 Corvettes - that's it. Fine considering he knows nothing about Star Wars or the game - though he's not one for taking advice. He launches an attack against the Imperial base with his 5 Corvettes and gets destroyed without taking a single enemy with him (He attacked an Allegiance). By now the Imps had a large fleet, and they weren't happy with my friend's attack. In order to save my friend, I launched my fleet into the middle of the enemy base (really dumb on my behalf, under powered fleet in the middle of an enemy base with huge enemy warships). I was able to take out all Imperial capitals, though lost all my MC-90s and half my support vessels, fighters etc. Seeing so few Imperial ships left, I attempted to finish off the base only to be forced to retreat by gunships and frigates. They followed me all the way back to my base an we battled there. All this time I was attempting to tell my friend to build a fleet to assist me and to destroy the enemy. In the end, a sneak attack destroyed all my resource collectors, leaving me broke, and with around 5 warships/support ships left - all badly damaged. The Imperials were on a final push, supported by an ISD mk II - after almost half an hour of beeing pounded, my friend arrive with 3 MC-90s and DSD and some Neb-bs (that was his entire fleet). It was enough to defeat the Imperials attacking me, even though he lost a MC-90. After that I rallied my fleet for a final push at the enemy, then as my DSD completed it's repairs and I contacted my friend to atack - the game crashed I talked to my friend after the game and he lost to the Imperial force as well - so I doubt I could have changed anything. *Sniff* such a terrible day

"No problem, though usually I'm the one running from people," Karn joked, though still kept an eye on the third person in the group. "So, what's this I hear about you wanting to break into a med centre?"
-
I agree with bobandrubert - the old laser length was great! The knew lasers, while looking awesome, are far too long for the game. I played it only for a little while, though my RSD was dwarfed by its own laser fire. So far, everything else in the game is great! The new ships (the one's I've tried at least ), fairer prices, the pics for each ship and the description's for all the ships (some don't work - I'll post a list later on which don't work for me).

Karn was releaved to find out that the person holding the gun was actually a Twi'lek named Sib. Before he had a chance to talk to her, she was talking on her comm-link. In an instant she was off again yelling something to him as she ran. "I'd don't think so," Karn whispered and began running after her. For his short stature, most were surprised at how fast Karn was - nevertheless, the Twi'lek was faster. "Hold up Sib, I need to talk to you!" Still running as fast as he could, Karn's eyes now moved from Sib to a girl standing off to the side in a shadow. He couldn't pick it then, though he knew there was something unnusual about the girl. *** A micro jump away from Bespin, the Reckless Wonderer waited in the mass shadow of a planetoid. "Still no message from the Major?" Captain Biree Kre'nel asked the communication's officer. "No ma'am." "What's taking him so long?" Staring out of the forward view port of the CC-5500, Biree felt as if something terribly wrong was happening on Bespin - and she knew that there was nothing that they could do to help. *** Sib almost didn't stop as the girl moved out of the shadow. She wasn't hostile - a very good thing considering the luck Karn had had today. Slowing to a jog, Karn moved up next to the pair. Sib stared at the girl with an expression on her face that only another Twi'lek could understand. The girl, somewhere in her late teens, stood infront of her without a single expression on her face. Neither had paid any attention to him, and neither seemed to be talking, so Karn intruded. "Hi, the name's Karn," he said sticking out his hand.

I'd probably get a job with the Emprie to see the galaxy, and well to get a job Then after realising how terrible and ruthless the Empire really is, I'd defect to the Rebel Alliance and become a fighter pilot and battle the Empire until their dimise at Endor. Then, once the New Republic is formed with the fall of Coruscant, I'd retire. That is until the Vong attack and I'm brought back into action and command a warship of some description, probably a Majestic class Cruiser. I'd fight until the eventualy end of the Vong invasion and once again hang up my uniform for what is hopefully the last time - though always ready to protect the galaxy from evil, that or if I get bored I think the thrill of an intellegent species arriving at our planet and offering to incorporate us into this immense galaxy of unbelievable technolgy would be too hard to turn down for most. All of our limitation in power sources, medicine and pollution (to a lesser degree, ie Duro) could all be solved by allowing the planet to be ruled by the Empire - and I'm sure to us it would be made to look like a good goverment to be rulled by, and our goverments (for un unknown reason ) automatically agreed to side with the Emporer after he waved his hand. And from Palpitine's point of view: He would control the birth place of humanity - I'd imagine that would be up their on his wish list, that and converting Luke to the Dark side and controlling the galaxy and . . .

IC: One of the Stormtroopers began moving away from the group - they hadn't noticed Karn yet. A smile crept onto his face. Stepping out from behind the shadows, Karn unleashed a blazing barrage of laser fire at the squad of troopers. Three dropped as the energy bolts exploded against their white armour, including the trooper who was off searching. Karn wasn't entirely sure who the person behind the barrels was, though he knew it had to be someone from the Rebellion - or at least hoped it was. "Come and get me bucketheads!" Karn yelled at the top of his voice as he took off down another side street next to the warehouse as blasters opened fire. *** Karn, out of breath, was back where he had shot the three stormtroopers. After attacking them, he'd ran away and managed to loose the squad of troopers before they could get help - he had also kept to the shadows to make sure they never saw his face. Feeling rather smug at out running the storm troopers, Karn slowly began to let down his gaurd. "Not bad for a space Captian," He said to himself. It was then he realised two things. One, the stormtrooper bodies were missing and two, he still needed to join up with Arjun. "Sith spit, I always get sided tracked - now I'm going to be late with meating up with Arjun," Karn continued to mumble to himself. As he finished he felt the cold metal barrel of a baster press against the back of his neck. His mouth went dry and for an instant, his heart stopped. The empty void was filled with a female. "So, how do you know Arjun?" OOC: Couldn't let Sib get captured as well - someone has to help me save Ulric's butt and get together with Arjun! ! Oh, incase you were wondering what the CC-5500 is, I'll tell you. It's a 200 metre long Corellian Frigate, that was built as a rival to the Neb-B - it's a little less powerful (4 turbolasers and 14 high power quad lasers), can't hold fighters, is faster, costs half as much and has stronger shields. If you want more specs on it or any other Star Wars ship, I'd be glad to tell you (as long as I know ) - just PM me

IC: Karn, wearing civilian clothes, stood with his arms crossed as the Storm Troopers continued to check everyone's ID in the hangar. Karn was anything but calm, he was pretending to own the ship he was standing next to, a YT-2000 named the Nova Dream, he could get away with it - after all being a Corellian, he knew this ship like the back of his hand, he could even identify the modifications made to it. Karn had even created a story about the ship that the Storm Troopers had believed, all he needed now was for them to leave the hangar so he could. Karn was nervous because his real ship was a micro jump out of the system, he had come to the planet in a small shuttle to meet up with a contact for the Alliance. For all most an hour he hadn't been able to make contact with his ship, and he didn't know if they were still alright. "Alright, everyone here is cleared. Though no-one is allowed to leave the planet until further notice. Anyone attempting to will be shot down without warning," the lead Storm Trooper yelled over the people in the hangar. Slowly the troopers in the hangar left. Now he could try and make contact with any Rebels on Cloud City. OOC: Hey all, this is my first RPG post, so I'm kinda new to it. Karn is going to attempt to get in contact with the resistance on planet, and of course help out - so UlicHorn or bobandrubert, feel free to put my character into play . Oh, and Ulic, just to let you know your ship is fine, and a real bute My character's info is at: here
