Keep up the fight Barkoa I think you've got the support of a lot of Rebellion members behind you
-
Hehe, Scath - I posted the same pic back a few pages (around 66, 67 I think). Looks like we've got the simular tastes

What would you say to George Lucas if you could?
Krytos replied to Barkoa's topic in General Discussion
Yep, EU Cartoon or series of any sort and Rebellion 2! Other than that, perhaps stabilising the EU stats wise - you know, the real length of an SSD, the weapons, ships, whether the domes on top of the ISDs bridge are sensors or shields etc. Gets really frustrating when it conflicts - oh, and I'd also say: Thankyou Mr. Lucas for introducing me to your exciting and fun universe - or something to that degree -
It's possible that they AI is building a cruiser shipyard - at 25k, they're not the quickest things to build. Then again, it could be a bug - though it hasn't happened for me
-
I'd say a fair portion of new members are due to the Warlords mod - I usually see a lot of new faces while there. However, there's been numerious new faces also in the RPG section and for Rebellion (Questions for Newbies, Multiplayer etc.).

Rantar slowly moved out onto the street. It was still night, as on Vathonir nights lasted longer than the day due to a second large moon that orbited the planet moving infront of the sun and casting a shadow across the planet. Rantar was making sure he hadn't been followed since he left the "Organistation's" outpost, now he was in inner suburbs of the city - and about 100 metres in front of him was a medium sized cantina where he knew a mate from the security force hung out at. Looking over his shoulder again, Rantar swollowed hard and moved out across the street to the cantina. He reached the steps leading up to the Cantina, once there he could see his friends speeder. Good, I might get some help finally He headed in, keeping a close eye on everyone in the cantina. It didn't take long to spot his friend, sitting alone in a dark booth towards the back of the place. Rantar slid into the booth opisite his friend. "Rantar! Is that you? I thought you were in hospital still?" His reptilian, Abinyshi friend name Tro'Bar asked. "I can't talk for long. I need help - and quick. I'm in deep trouble. I can't tell you much more, except I know someone with power is in on what's got me in it." His friend held his glass up, half covering his face, he had been taking a sip of his drink though now he just paused. He got up and stretched, then put a hand on his shoulder, Tro'Bar spoke very loudly "Good to see you old friend, you look better - I'm heading off now, been a long day. Can't wait to see you back at work." But before he left, he quickly bent over to his boot and whispered, "Meet me at my house tomorrow at 11:00 o'clock in the morning." He then left. As Tro'Bar left, Rantar heard him say hi to some security officers entering the cantina. To two security officers came and sat at the same booth as Rantar - he looked across at them. He had seen the pair before, though he didn't know either of them by name. Before he got a chance to move, the closest one spoke. "Hey Rantar - when'd you get back on planet?" Rantar somehow hid the surprise on his face from the pair - no-one should have known he left Vathonir. It was obvious these two were not only crooked officers, but also part of the "Organisation" - not too mention stupid ones. Rantar was quick to react, "Hey guys - can you order me another drink, I need to go to the little 'gents room and then I'll tell you all about it." Rantar was then up and moving off towards the toilet, though before he got too far the second officer was grabbing onto his arm. "Not so fast, we need to talk to you first." Rantar saw the officer at the table pulling out a silenced slug thrower - a weapon only found with gang members of Vathonir. Before either officer could react, Rantar kicked down on the knee of the one holding him. He screemed out as his leg broke, now the attention of the entire cantina was focused on them. It didn't stop the other security officer though, he was already up on both feet with his slug thrower pointed at him. Rantar dived behind the guard whom's leg he had just broken as the first slug flew through the air. Rantar continued his role until he had cover to hide behind. Leaning out with his blaster drawn, he could see the officer with the broken leg lying on the ground with at least two exit wounds on his back from the slug thrower. He was dead, at least one less to worry about. Rantar began slowly moving around, and preparing for the other guard to jump him from behind. He was wrong, the guard rushed him from in front catching Rantar slightly off guard. It allowed his opponent to get the first shot off, and Rantar closed his left eye as spliters of ferocrete flew past his face. Rantar's shot, unlike the guard's, didn't miss - it connected with the guard's face ending his life in a pailess instant. No-one on the cantina moved or spoke - it was dead quite. Rantar rose, and stared across the faces of those around him. None moved for a hidden weapon, some barely moved. It was time to leave, running through the front door of the cantina Rantar caught a civilian coming out of his speeder. He quickly jumped in before it was turned off and through out the driver. Rantar then sped off into the night.

Ok, here's some more: Biker Boys - Same as the others I posted earlier (The Fast and the Furious) Alien Resurrection - I liked the first Aline and really like Aliens, the third was a disappointment - but come one! The forth almsot put me off the first two GI Jane - Need I say more Kiss of the Dragon - Bad plot, bad dialog, your tipical Hollywood action movie gone bad - wasn't even entertaining the first time Shame, I really liked Jet Lee in Leathel Weapon 4 The One - The same as above, only they had a decent plot - the only problem was they couldn't pull it off, really bad movie Well, that's it for now - though I can guaranty that I'll be back, there's a world of bad movies out there P.S. I liked the LotR - though I felt the third was a bit dragged out in the end.
-
Hahaha, great one Trej! The last of the three was great!

Does the action figure come with all copies or just if you pre-order them? Because Jedi Academy came with a free figurine (where'd I put that damn Rodian anyway ? ?) - or is it more like Tiberium Sun where you'd need to purchase a special version, like in this case pre-ordering it?
-
Just had a look at it - looks good, nice graphics and it seems to be able to support a significant number of troops in a single game. The new interface is interesting - not sure if I'm a fan of it yet, I'd have to play it to see. Oh well, there's another game I'll have to get when its out
-
Cool, it'll be good to have some people helping out. Until you guys arrive I can be chased around abit - I'm sure the "organistation" wants me captured, though they're going to have to work for it Just checked my messages (I only get to check them late at night due to Uni - damn first year ), and I'm sending one back your way as I type . . .

Karn, holding his right arm, turned to Afton, "Me? Right, I looked at the plans . . ." Karn looked at the intersection - he knew where both went, though which would be best? He was injurred and the others didn't like the sewers, so going left would get them out quikest. Of course, that meant they'd be closer to the Imperials they had just escaped from. On the other hand, heading right would take a long time - though it would get them out of any imediate danger. So which way should they go? Karn's mind was made up for him as the distant sound of Stormtroopers splashing through the sewers could be heard. "We've gotta go! Down the right path" Karn yelled as he could waved the group down the left tube and followed after them. Karn pulled out his blaster and kept an eye focused on where they'd just come from incase they were followed - hopefully they wouldn't be . . .

"Yeah, you've got a point - eventually someone had to put Palpatine back in his place. Though, lets say Luke hadn't been at Yavin. Judging from the battle, even Wedge didn't help that much - given, Wedge was pretty young then back. Yavin would be space debris, and a lot of the Rebels high profiles like Leia wuold be gone - that is the kind of moral hit that could have completely wiped out the Rebellion. "Think of it, in a single blow the Empire could have taken out Leia, Dodanna and countless others. And how would others in the Rebellion feel? I'm sure many would be enraged - though how many would be to affraid to fight now? Hundreds? Thousands? Millions? Their hope would undoubtably have been crushed. It would have taken a good few years for the stigma of such an event to die down before we would ever see anything like the Rebel Alliance again. "However, that being said, I'm sure as Alex pointed out - someone would have eventually taken care of the Emporer. Heck, maybe even Darth would have done it without Luke being there? For him to do it at all there had to be some good left in him, somewhere." Karn settled all four legs of his chair on the ground, he then turned and called the bar tender for a top up of his drink, and waited for a responce from the others at the table.

Good idea Barkoa. Well, I'm about to head off and find the second in charge of the "Organisation" - hope you don't mind the name, though it only has to stick to this world I wont say who it is yet - though I think I told you once Barkoa It's not much of a twist - though it's a twist From there I was going to stay on Vathinor and rebel with some people - kinda large scale guerilla warefare. Umm from there, I might join up with whom ever is on planet (characters being played by people) and go join the Jedi on their quest - unless they come to Vathonir first.
-
"Sure, jump in and join the fun - we were just about to get to know each other better . . . unless you guys still want to talk about the Rebellion?" Karn asked as he tilted back his chair.

OOC: Cool, good idea - we need a Commanding Officer, now we just need some Imps to throw a spanner into the works. Anyway, I'll be waiting until the fleet battle between the Imperials and Republic starts before joining in - until then, I'm just in transit to the planet escorting the Republic's Envoy II .
-
Can't . . . wait . . . much . . . longer!!
-
OOC: Nah, you're safe T'Char It was another Trandotian that I killed. Hope it wasn't a relative of yours
-
I second that! Boring and just when you think it's over - it hits you with another boring!

Bad movies, well this could take a while! Well, here's a few for starters: Fast and the Furious & Too Fast Too Furious - Come on, if you now anything about cars or pretty much anything, this movie is insultingly stupid and wrong in so many ways! Torque - Yeah, pretty much the same as above - only worse. P.S, in Australia, the ads had "Dictionary descriptions" of the word torque. Apparently torque means power now! ! Last time I checked, torque was the turning force of an object - and measured in Newtons Species II - Haaahahahaaahahahahaaa!!!!!!! Yeah, that pretty much described it Well that's it for now - I'll post mroe when I think of them, thoguh generally I erase the bad movies from my memory
-
I'm new this year, and it's by far the best forum that I've visited. Everyone's friendly and no puts others down, there are serious conversations and joking coversations as well as games (the RPGs)! To make it even better it's mostly about SW! ! What more could you ask for? Here's to 3000, and the more the merrier!
-
OOC: Sounds good to me - I'm up for it, just say the word and I'll work it into what I'm doing IC: Karn had left the sensor station and returned to the command couch on the bridge. His gambit had paid off, breaking away from their current heading confused the Imperial fighters, allowing both vessels to get further away, now they were giving chase and being followed by the Republic's fighters. Even better was the fact that the Republic fleet had re-organised itself and now was mopping up what was left of the Strike cruiser and preparing for the Imperial fleet. The Imperial forces had also caught onto this and were calling back most of their fighters and bombers and getting into a support formation - just waiting for there re-enforcements to arrive. Now the real battle was about to begin. He would finish off the few fighters remaining with the help of the Republic fighters and then escort the diplomats to the planet. From there, if there's still a battle ragging between the New Republic and Empire, Karn would do whatever he could to help.

"Yeah, we can thank our Bothan friends for some of that intellegence gathering," Karn said remembering his second in command, who just happened to be a Bothan. "Well, I guess it's time to get to know each other a little better. You know, how long you've been with the Rebellion, what else you do - that kinda stuff."
-
OOC: Well, I used the rank of General mainly due to the NJO novels where a General would be incharge of a small fleet/taskforce group - such as General Anitllies and Bel Iblis - where as an Admiral would be incharge of an entire Fleet group - such as Admiral Kre'fey. I was trying to keep the character open by not giving him a name incase someone would like to play him/her. But as you said, nobody has played the character - so I'll try to keep it open. By transferred, do you mean go to the Alderaan and meet up with some people or transferred to some post onboard the ship? Either way, I can work something out
