Nice find Jahled Those Gungan targets are very tempting . . .

1138 was dumb struck, his eyes widened and his jaw dropped. If it weren't for the helmet he wore, he would have brought the attension of the entire Clone Legion upon himself. The Jedi didn't tell A-23 about his insobardination?!?
-
The bridge door opened as two of Karn's guards pushed Ulic in, I'll have to talk to them about that. "Sorry about the inconveniance Ulic, but we've got a big problem. We're about to drop out at a well known Pirate's Space Station near the planet of Sump. "I'm hoping that you've got some contacts, or some knolledge that's going to save us from being jumped by Pirates and those pair of ISDs that are trailing us." Before Ulic could respond, a small alarm sounded on the bridge - 30 seconds until the ship dropped out of hyperspace. . .

My moneys on Fett, with a slow and painful capture Perhaps he's talking about a certain species from the Rapora RPG thread? Such as those silicon based life forms?

Anger began to fload into 1138's mind, and without thought he called out. "Wait!" As the Jedi turned, 1138 took a step forward putting himself directly infront of the yound jedi. Standing as tall as he could, 1138 showed off his height advantage before he started. "You listen good. Unlike you, I'm not wet behind the ears, I've been fighting the Seperatists since Geonosis. I have no reason, no reason at all to tell you anything! Don't think that I owe you any respect, or anyting like that. A-23 is my only superiour on this mission, sure as Sith you aren't." With that, 1138 marched off knowing full and well that he'd made an enemy out of the Jedi and that it would get back to his CO in a matter of minutes.

Ulic docked his freighter with Karn's frigate under heavy fire. Before the freighter had powered down Karn was running for the door, and out of the ship. It took Karn less than a minute to reach the bridge. "Sit Rep people!" Karn called out. "Major, we are preparing to make the jump to hyperspace." "Good, where to?" Before Kre'nel could answer him, the stars in the forwards view port streaked into white lines before a burst of blue threw them into a spiriling tunnel of light. Infront of Karn, his console told him his destination - the Kalroon space station above Sump, well known for its pirate activities. "Why me? Kre'nel, get Ulic to the bridge now!"

The Jedi brat approached 1138, though he didn't care. When the jedi got in arm's length, he began to talk. "You, I need to have a talk with you." 1138 didn't even turn to face him, didn't pay attention. The young jedi lost his patiance and raised his voice, "Now!" The Jedi turned and walked off with 1138 in his wake. He wasn't surprised at the Jedi's reaction, he'd actually been expecting this "little" talk earlier. 1138 would follow on, though he wouldn't be affraid to confront the Padawan. A-23 was his leader, his commanding officer, this kid was nothing more than an inconviniance.

Woo, Cain! Good to see you back! Personally, considering other games that Westwood released (Command and Conquer: Tiberium Dawn and Tiberian Sun) that I've found fantastic, I have high hope for Petrogylph and their games.

A-23, 1138s Commanding Officer, called the entire Clone Trooper unit into the practing area. Within a minute, the troopers had flooded into the room and arranged themselves by platoons. 1138 eagerily awaited the Arc Trooper's command for battle.

Hmm, I'd say that the klingon's would be defeated by either the Vong or Preditor. So it's a match between the Vong and Predators. Both are martial prime races, both a merciless. However, the Predators aren't really a waring nation - though they do have the capabilities (anyone who has played AVP 2 and Primal Hunt will see this). The Predators use advanced technologies and cloak and dagger strategies to fight. The Vong prefer broguht force with an underlining strategy and use an array of bio-organic based technologies to defeat their oponents. Both the Predator and the Vong are aragent and can be exploited severely. It's a very hard choice, though I belive the Vong could counter the Predator's stealth ability, thus severly limiting their base strategies. So, I'm voting for the Vong.

Strategy Tip of the Week - Fleet Diplomacy
Krytos replied to The Crazy Psychopath's topic in General Discussion
Neither did I! I've always used fleets with diplomats later in the game when I could, jsut for protection - though if it helps preparing a system for a diplomatic takeover, I'm going to be building up gunship diplomats Hmm, does having a fleet above a newly taken over Imperial world have the same or simualr effect Exellent work Strel! -
IC: (Kre'nel) Kre'nel's teeth clentched so tight it gave her a slight headache as the Nova Dream was caught in their tractor beam. Silently she prayed that the freighter could withstand the strain that the ship was enduring as it was renched from one vector to another at great speeds. "Helm, change course to the exit point," Kre'nel called out from the command chair on the bridge. Standing she walked over to the sensor post to observe what the Empire was doing. Scrambling additional fighters to come after us. Dumping rubish. So, the if the Empire can't catch us before we jump then they'll try to come after us. "Naviagations, prepare co-ordinates for a second jump once we exit the system. We'll need to do some planet hoping to loose the Empire." Mere minutes later, the Reckless Wonderer had reached the jump point outside the planet's gravity well. "Disable tractor beam," Kre'nel once again ordered. Opening a channel to the Nova Dream Kre'nel got in contact with the freighter's captain. "The tractor beam is offline, quickly dock with us so we can get out of here." As she cut the comm link, a person at the sensor post spoke up. "Inbound enemy fighters, 2 squadrons a head of . . . of a LOT more! ETA, 35 seconds on the 2 squadrons an 5 minutes on the bulk." 35 seconds! The freighter wont dock in time! "Weapons online, fire at anything that isn't friendly. Sensors, where'd those fighters come from? We had a good 5 minutes lead on that fighter screen!" "Ma'am, a pair of Carrack's just dropped out of hyperspace behind us and dropped their fighters off. They're over two minutes out of firing range." Well, at least we needn't worry about the light cruisers.

1138 exited the turbolift and reached his post where his squad was stationed. They were strategically placed, if the ship was borded, they were 2 minutes away from the passage ways running along the outer hull. If the ship needed abondoning they were 30 seconds from the nearest escape pod. And if the Commander chose to send troops down during or before the battle, the turbolift they were stationed at would take them directly to the landing bay. Still, one thing was plaguing 1138 - his emotions. Since his "birth" at training, like the other clones, he had felt very few emotions until recently. He felt weird, like an individual. He needed to become like he use to be, where all that mattered was the battle and all he did was what he was ordered to do. Shacking his head, 1138 unholstered his DC-15 and waited for his orders.

IC (Kre'nel): "Affirmative Nova Dream." Whilst this changed things, it was for the better. Her original plan was to break the ISD blockade and try to force themselves out the other side of the fighter screen. This way, if the Nova Dream emerged behind them it would allow the Reckless Wonderer to alter their course to an exit point in system while retaining their sling shot speed. If this worked, they would be home free. "When you emerge behind us, we will lock our tractor beam onto you and tow you to the jump point where you can dock with us . . . Oh and, you might want to dile down your compensators - it's going to be a big jolt when we tractor you."

Hmm, I actually thought that I had posted the pics for this model - though apparently not . . . Anyway, the model was meant to be of this - the Belarus Medium Cruiser. And from the pic, I think it's easy to see that it's one ugly ship Now, for those who don't know about the Belarus, it's meant to be the New Republic's follow up to the Strike Cruiser - though 50 metres shorter with increased broadside firepower. The point of this little rant is more or less to justify my model - a cross between a Strike Cruiser, what I originally imagined it to be and Eville's Belarus from the awesome Warlords mod. Anyway, I guess I'll shut up and post the pics - damn it's hot today (32 degrees C) http://img184.exs.cx/img184/9793/belarus01b8cl.th.jpg http://img184.exs.cx/img184/2960/belarus02b2bd.jpg http://img184.exs.cx/img184/1029/belarus03b4pp.jpg http://img184.exs.cx/img184/5785/belarus04b6yk.jpg http://img184.exs.cx/img184/4378/belarus05b8tn.jpg http://img184.exs.cx/img184/2039/belarus06b2df.jpg http://img184.exs.cx/img184/2762/belarus07b4jd.jpg

IC (Kre'nel): In her usual stern face, Kre'nel replied in a matter of fact voice. "Unfortunately, this frigate doesn't carry fighters - however, we do have a plan." IC (Karn): The frigate which appeared in a high orbit from behind Bespin's moon began to accelerate to greater speeds than the modified ship could travel by its own engines, of course! She's using the moon to slingshot the Reckless Wonderer. At those speeds and the angle she's coming in at, the ISDs wont be able to fully engage the friagte! She'll be able to break the blockade and reach us. "Nice thinking Kre'nel, though this tactic does kinda remind me of something I pulled off a few years back - don't tell me that I actually inspired you?" IC (Kre'nel): Karn's on that ship! Kre'nel thought, almost allowed. "Good to hear from you sir, and the tactic may have been influenced by your manouvre over Trevlour IV." She replied, with a grin the untrained eye couldn't spot.

1138 could see the way the Jedi looked at him, could he sence his dislike of the inexperienced child. Fortunately that was cut short by the screech of an alarm howling throughout the ship. Before either the Jedi or 1138 could think, the ARC Trooper was out of the room and running for the bridge. The Jedi was soon on the ARC Troopers heels calling out to him. 1138 didn't care what they were doing, his training kicked in and he knew that he needed to return to his post incase the ship was boarded. With that, 1138 was also running - though to his post.

Karn's sensor screen lit up with the contact of a second Star Destroyer. "Oh, for the love of . . . Ulic, there's no way this ship or my frigate could get past one Star Destroyer let alone two. We need an idea, and quick!" But what could be done? Behind the freighter was an onslaught of TIE Fighters and infront of them were two Star Destroyers ready to release even more fighters on to the battlefield. There was no-where to run except empty space, and without the hyperdrive working that would be a short trip. Just then, the Nova Dream's Comm unit came online with a familur voice. "This is Captain Biree Kre'nel of the Reckless Wonderer, contacting the freighter about to be overwhelmed - do you need assistance?"

Geeze, its been years since I last saw a "The Gods must be Crazy movie" I think I saw two, maybe three of them. Heck, I'm not even sure how many there are now? Still, they're funny from what I can remember

20 planets, in my opinion, will be enough assuming there is a descent amount of space on each planet for bases, defences, traps and battle grounds. The same really goes for space, as long as the battle areas are larger than Imperium Galactica II - I will be happy. Nevertheless, 20 planets would limit any strategic planet taking, blockades and cutting planets off. It would be nice to have a simular game that focuses on the same style of game EAW, though on a larger scale. Hmm, that sounds a lot like Rebellion 2 Still aching for a Star Wars game where you can implement large scale strategies such as cutting off trade lanes, setting traps, hit and run tactics and ground battles . . . oh well, one day . . . one day

1138 studied the outline of their mission. Simple in concept, with only a few surprises. These droids should cause difficulties if faced in small numbers, though some supression fire and heavy weapons should level one. 1138 found it easy to build confidence up before a mission, though being a clone trooper he hardly felt scared or even worried . . . until recently. Focusing on the mission again, there was still one loose end in relation to the intellegence gathered. "Sir, if the Hutts are involved how are we to deal with them? Engage them at present or deal with them seperately?"

Personally, I use this web site http://www.imageshack.us/index.php to upload images and avatars. You don't need to register, just upload the image to their sight - copy the link and paste it into your avatar slot in the profile section. NOTE: If you don't register on imageshack, it wont keep track of your images so you'll need to either create a document with the links (assuming you want to use them for multiple sights etc.) or just paste it once
