A red light glowed in the corner of the room, stirring Krytos from his sleep. It had begun, the war had started. Quickly sitting up, Krytos grabbed his boots, MP7, and switched on the lights to his small room and outpost. Opening the door, he ran down the narrow corridors towards the communications room. As he opened the door, Krytos almost swore he heard something clatter on the metal floor far away. Ignoring it, he closed the door behind him and turned on the Outposts computer system and attempted to contact any of his superiors on a secure frequency. "Scath, Trej, Jahled. This is Colonel Krytos reporting in, what's the situation?" As he waited for a reply, a deep scarping noise could be heard behind the closed door. Krytos slowly, and quiety raised his sub-machine gun and cocked it, waiting for the worst . . .

Nine Inch Nails - Self Destruction

Both Afton and her partner, Josson, left the room to contact Barkoa. Rantar couldn't help but be a little suspicious of Josson, after all only Afton needed to go and contact Barkoa. Surely enough, he returned a very short time later. As he entered the room, he asked Rantar about the Rebellion that was being set up. Afton seemed to trust him, which would have been enough for him in the past - though now, he needed more. Surely he was being to paranoid now, it was ridiculous that he suspected everyone that he met now. After the slight pause, Rantar replied. "With the government and Security detachment of this world under the control of the Organisation, we’re left with little option. If we don’t act now, more people will be needlessly killed, the planet would be still used as a pawn in someone else’s game of galactic conquest. “So, we’re planning on toppling the government, though we can’t do that easily. Ever since the start of bombings to cover up their actions, the Vathonir Security force has strengthened considerably. Now, elections or any political options are out because it would be difficult to prove to a world that their government has been lying to them – not to mention that as to date, our elections haven’t actual been working as the Organisation has always been the one to chose the government here.â€

Krytos waited in the dark, the darkness of solitude. He waited for the call, the call that would start it all again – the war against Zoot. He had not been around during the earlier wars, though he had heard the stories and read the history on Zoot. Krytos never felt fear, until now. Zoot was truly something to fear, an evil of such magnitude that had not been known for a very long time. An evil that must be stopped if it attacked.

Dito I use my PC a lot more for games than my X-Box, though the X-Box is good for a quick game (generally arcade style)

The darkness is apon us. Death looms near, as does the destruction. For it was one Corporal SOCL who was the last to call the feared Catti, and he paid dearly for it as did the other grand members of SWRebellion when their anti-Catti grid failed. Now the same fate bares once more, what will be the out come . . .

I hope it's good, the first Halo was a real let down I mean, it had it's good parts (escaping the spaceship, finding the escape pods, the beach head assault for a while) - though so much of it was monotonous , and the "twists" really sucked. It's ending was alright though, especially compared to most games with crapy endings these days.

IC: (Lieutenant Varn) Varn, at the lead of his company, headed along a narrow access coridor. Varn was late to his post at the secondary landing site, Varn didn't like being late - it made him look bad. As such, he decided to take a quicker route whilst the rest of his unit searched for the medlers who had held him up. It didn't take long for the Imperial company to reach a locked door. Another infurating moment in Varn's day. "By the Emperor himself! What else will go wrong today?" Varn clenched his fists hard. Taping his foot he thought hard, they could blast the door open, or even cut through the lock. Though with a direct link to an Imperial landing pad, it would be foolish to leave it open to rebel attack. No, he would need to unlock this door. "Arghh! Second and third squad - break off and find the control room to this door. And do it fast!" The two squads ran down the coridor back towards where they had emerged. Three minutes later, the door hatch clicked, and door unlocked. Varn pulled out his commlink and contacted the two squads that he had dispatched, "Hold your positions and the control rooms. They are vital to taking full control of this instilation." Putting the commlink away, he singled the remaining squad to follow him. Slowly, the group moved down the coridor. A head, four figures moved to covered positions within the access room. Varn's instincts took over, as he grabbed the Stormtrooper to his left and threw him in the way as a voley of laser fire spewed down the hall. The troopers armour protected him from the first few blasts, though after over twenty hits it was obvious he was dead. "Take cover and return fire!" Looks like I found our annouance after all Varn thought as he removed his side arm. **** IC: Karn Macen Hearing Ulic's warning, Karn turned to look down the coridor. A loud click rang out from the door, it was unlocked. Oh, Sith spit "Take cover!" No sooner had Karn spoken, did the door open wide to allow a squad of Stormtroopers in. By then, all four had found cover at the edges of the room and began opening fire, killing one of the stormtroopers. "I think our choice has been made for us. How are we going to get out of this? Being attacked from the front, and and army waiting for us out the back!"
-
Staring at the table, Karn finally replied, "War is never something to be fond of. For people like us it's done out of necisity. The Empire brought this onto our galaxy, they created this civil war - and unknown millions, billions of people are dead as a result. "Now we fight to reclaim the worlds they still terrorised. Hopefully both the Empire and New Republic will find a diplomatic end to this war, and soon."

Oh, I HATE natural disasters!!! They're the worst thing next to an massive bombardment or Death Star when they hit a massive production planet. I use to have a main planet in the Outer Rim with 10+ shipyards, until 1 out of 3 games a natural disaster would hit the planet and I'd loose it all The worst thing about them, is you can't defend against them. Persoanlly I think they're a good idea, adding an aspect of realism to the game - though they shouldn't do so much damage to the planet, they take out too many facilities and power units.

Back again, figured I might as well post some more pics Some are old, some are new - so unfortunately there are those with the UI in the way (from the days before I knew how to get rid of it ) http://img113.exs.cx/img113/3213/ss00310.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/4853/ss00327.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/825/ss00348.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/7586/ss00430.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/6838/ss00428.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/8352/ss00489.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/576/ss00491.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/9664/ss00513.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/9563/ss00516.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/9258/ss00517.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/9315/ss00522.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/7250/ss00608.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/1889/ss00835.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/2852/ss00836.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/2979/ss00870.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/8303/ss00922.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/4822/ss00862.jpg http://img113.exs.cx/img113/8351/ss00865.jpg If you like any of them Eville, and they have the UI in the way, I can try and get rid of some of the UI like in pic ss00327 (there were the green diamonds around the Assault Frigate and some fighters), and this pic (it was in my first post in this thread, though with the annoying green triangles in the way) new and old P.S. Nice pics Storm! ss00061.jpg, ss00054.jpg and ss00025.jpg look great! -
