GAT, that sounds like my old and legendary C-64. But this one didn't even have a hdd Oh and yes, hundreds of 5,25" floppy discs. These were actually the days, when I first started altering games, since the "programming" handbook was not that helpful. Ok, what is in my room ? The Pc, a notebook, an old NES, an old Gameboy, my second, dead PSOne, yup, that's it.

Hmm, I don't recall hearing of an Arc Hammer model before. The transparacy has long been an issue, that I've had with several models, but so far could not resolve. I tried a lot of things to get around this, but so far no luck. I think it's part of the DirectX 6 engine, that the game uses. The effect does sometimes seem to lessen though, if you make the material double-sided.

Well, I currently own this one. My next one will definately be this model. A former colleague of mine got it and plugged in a GB smc card Now I just need to know, if it can use an mp3 for the ringtone, that would be perfect, cause I could then edit my own ones

As I said, if it fits Did you ever get skype to work ? Maybe it had to do with my connection, but I was calling a buddy ~120km away (ok, distance should not be that much of a problem) and our sentences had lags of about 1,5 minutes minimum.

Yup, forgot to add that. LaForge, I tried all nine files with UltraEdit and all of them had it (German XP Pro). Now, if they had to recall all of their sold Windows cds and give out clean versions, that would be just a first step. Another would be to settle the legal issues. Since they proclaim their importance so much, I'm sure they will have no objections about this

It reminded me of an old German saying "Those, who cry too loud about a thing are the worst of all" You can still open the Windows editor though, drag one of these files into it and scroll down to the bottom, like the article says. There you should find this name, among lots of gibberish ascii characters. Have to try that myself, actually

Look what I just found on the website of a computer mag, that I always buy. It seems like an employee of Microsoft itself, or a subcontractor, used pirated software to generate a few sound files, that you can find on every pc with a newly installed Windows XP. Nah, there were just some inverted faces in the version, that Mad sent me. So I wanted to check out, if your gmax version also had them, but as I wanted to reinstall gmax on my 'fresh' windows my old authoration code didn't work anymore So I registered again ... waited ... and got no reply from discreet. Today I tried to log in with the new account and suddenly it says, "if you have not yet received your authorization code, here it is: ...." At this time my facial expression was like this: I'll be able to check it out this evening

Well Zeelich's New Rebellion Homeworld 1 Mod has a nice CC-7700 model. If you download it, you could use Homeworld (print-screen key, IIRC) for making your screenshots. Otherwise I'd suggest getting Hypersnap DX. It can provide screenshots from almost every game. EDIT: Btw, welcome back Do you use another name for the XWAU ?
