For the most part, I like modern art because it expresses the inner-self and one can walk away from any given piece of art with a different meaning than the next person. The biggest problem I have, though, is that most people only accept modern art if it comes from someone who is known famously, which pisses me off because when someone like me tries to make a piece, artists cock an eyebrow and just call it trash. I suppose I'm a little bitter, but it feels like modern art is only for an elite class and if you're not a part of it, then your modern art isn't valid.

Speaking of accounts being all weird, when I log in, my account registers all posts as already having been read yet I haven't read any of them, much less logged in in the recent few days! Additionally, it seems that my avatar changes its mind every few days as to whether it wishes to work correctly! Furthermore, when I click on a forum, I get an error page, but then if I click the back button and click once again on the forum name, it loads correctly! EDIT: Okay...now everything is working correctly....

Is it possible to classify the cards in different ways? For instance, if you go to TheForce.Net's Unofficial Encylopedia, you'll notice that you're able to look for things either by a simple search, by the first letter of the name, or even by association (for instance, by movie). So really, all these ideas for organizing the cards are good...why not combine them?

Isn't this all rather excusable considering the fact that it was originally a DOS game?

I'm not sure how everyone else feels about it, but I think having an SWR.Com store is a great idea! I think we should start off small (maybe a t-shirt, a coaster, and a bumper sticker) and work our way up...what does everyone else say?

Spanish That's a good point, but I believe many people here know and understand at least one other language. Additionally, I think two members of the Support Staff (ie. Trej and Scath) both understand quite a few languages, so... Over the years of being in the forums, I believe the second most commonly understood language is German, but I could be wrong.

Didn't you say you didn't have TIE Fighter only a few posts back? You know what that means?! If Evaders can get a hold of a copy of TIE95, then I could probably get my hands on a copy of XvT or XWA!

If you would like me to do a step by step walkthrough then let me know and i will be happy to help. Are you using the Model Importer program & Rebed? It's not so much that as it is me. I follow everything step-by-step, I just can't get any models to work. Odds are, though, that I'll be contacting you in the future.

The game is working (except for the fact that I don't have a joystick plugged in... )! EDIT (Part 2): ...much less a joystick that'll hook-up to my laptop (damned little needle thingys that stick out of the place where the joystick is supposed to hook up into the back of the computer! ). EDIT (Part 3): I just wanted to let everyone know that the game is working perfectly, no problems with the sound or joystick; thanks very much to Evaders for the patch!

Hmm...I could have sworn I did that.... Oh well, it's working now! Thanks, Trej! By the way, I installed the game, but when I try to play it keeps saying that I need to install DirectX 5.2. So I went ahead and told it to do that...then another window comes up that lists off a few programs, all of which are confirmed except for one...the 3D program. I hit OK...it takes me back to "you must install" window. I tried again, this time clicking for the 3D to be disabled...once again I was back at the "you must install" window. So then I tried the "Reinstall DirectX" and back again. A LOOP! Here's the 'you must install' window And here's the subsequent listy window Sorry about the poor quality. Anyone know what I should do? Should I go ahead and download the dosbox?

I am currently looking at my CD case for TIE Fighter and on the front it says 'Windows 95/98'...and the CD itself says 'Collector's CD-ROM'.... I have the eerie feeling this is the one that screws up, but I have my laptop with me now and I'm going to test it out. By the way, I didn't want to start a whole new thread over this but WHY THE HELL WON'T MY AVATAR WORK?! It wasn't working for a while, then Jahled fixed it, and now, out of nowhere, it stopped working! It's the correct size and everything, too!
