I would (as some can guess) like to see a gallery, maybe also a fanfiction section.

I wouldn't mind if it's Rebellion (maybe Star Wars related), definitely for Rebellion since this is the last Bastion of Rebellion .

How would this work? If there were certain rules and images were properly optimized and thumbnailed it might work .

Hehehe, didn't we try this already? Do you have any support that this actually helps with site traffic? People using [star wars] banner exchanges are probably bound to know about this site already anyways.

There's some PHP update which enables you to host images on the stie and post them in forums. So people will have thier gallery fanart forums, or we could have a special gallery section.

I like the idea for the images. Especially ones that might be useful for cards, etc.

We've got quiet a few modelers as well as some awesome 2D graphic artists, it would be awesome to be able to have some images

Has anyone ever given any thought to making an SWR.Com store? I know that this small website has its own store where it cycles a five or six items at a time. Perhaps if we have a store, we could make the site better and better...and we could all wear geeky shirts that say things like "SWR.Com, Where Spam Grows" and "Animated GIFs, Downloads, and Geekiness, OH MY! SWR.COM!"

Well, I figured all the profits could go to helping keep the site running (not to say it needs it, but extra money always helps). Additionally, whoever runs the store and make the products for the store and, if they use profit for the site, could write it off on their taxes.

This is a site which lets you design your own shirts to then sell them.

Well, I already have a shop at cafepress that we could use for SWR merchendice. Problem is, unless I upgrade the shop, we can only have one of each product.

 

But thats still 50 different Items.

I don't think its really necessary. We're not in the store business

However if there's demand and we get some decent profit out of it...

Very true, but I think a lot of the community would be interested in having, say, an SWR t-shirt, mousepad, or what-not.

........There is some other stuff to that I cant seem to remember right now. Im runnig on limited time however, due to lack of access to the intraweb for the next few days or so. But next time I am on, I will augment the list of everything i can make without upgrading the store.

But if the store makes enough, i can upgrade it so that we can have lots more products, i.e. more then one of a certain item. Which would be nice in the fact that we wouldnt be so horribly limited in what products we have.

 

Any profit after that would go to this site, obviously. Im not so much of a rat bastard that I would make money of of others hard work.

I'm not sure how everyone else feels about it, but I think having an SWR.Com store is a great idea! I think we should start off small (maybe a t-shirt, a coaster, and a bumper sticker) and work our way up...what does everyone else say?
